Please, please, please do not use Kris Thelen as an attorney or GAL in any instance. She is overpriced, incompetent, and only cares about her own track record (I.e. closing cases). She bullies the social workers so that they agree with her. I usually don’t give reviews on services, but I am compelled to do so in this instance, so I can help others. If she is recommended to you by the court, fight tooth and nail for someone else.

I will add my voice to the growing number of complaints about this attorney. There were so many mistakes made in my case, and I was billed for them and for the time it took to fix them. I wish I would have paid more attention to the negative reviews before signing, but I didn't. So now I am writing to add my voice to the group. Please think carefully before making the same mistake I did. It might sound like you are getting a good deal during the consultation, but in the end it won't be. My bill was almost $7000 for a simple divorce with no children involved.

Completely overpriced. Can't do their job correctly or in timely manner. I was more organized than they were. Couldn't get the other party served for overy a month and a half and still hasn't been served and now want to separate since I told them what's up. $400/hr is not worth your time or money. Please find someone else before using theses over priced women. My mother's attorney did WAY better and she was half their price.

False promises on what could be done regarding child support just to get my business. Over $600 added charges to my bill that was wrong. I had to go back and question multiple times inquire and get it corrected. Wrong papers filed. Horrible experience.
