Contacted this Firm for some legal needs and they took weeks to respond to simply setup an appointment because they said they were overly busy. I would email an inquiry and it would be weeks to receive any follow-up. After I finally had an appointment the attorney said they would timely complete my requests, only later to find out they wanted to reinvent the wheel with a higher fee. Find a Firm which immediately responds and schedules you as their Client. Fees here are high!

Even after paying them a huge sum, Hougum Law does not appreciate clients that ask for detailed explanations about how their complex estate plan is structured. They probably have too many clients that don't ask questions at all. They are always super-nice in person but then stop answering their client's emails---their way of saying "go away". We found a genuine estate-centered law firm in Madison and have been with them for three very satisfying years.
