This is A notice , that if this firm continues to be dishonest , representatives im my case, I will be addressing my concerns with the State Bar. Intimidation has been used to try to discourage me to tolerate lack of representation towards my case. I’ve been questioned regarding statements that the opposing party has made after this firm contacted the opposing party. I’ve been told at least five times that this case was being filed with the court in the jurisdiction of my claim. I have yet to see any proof or case number in relation to this matter. My intelligence has been continuously insulted which has prompted this email. The doctors that work with this firm are also questionable. I’ve seen the Social Media accounts for this firm quoting that clients should be honest with the firm . While the firm follows a”do as I say and not as I do “ behavior. And in my opinion has poor work ethic. I have been respectful in this matter and patient. I don’t feel that I am being properly represented. I was told that A private investigator was hired and that I would be contacted , that it took 2 weeks to obtain insurance information from the Landlord who refused to provide her insurance. It’s been well over that time frame. I was told that the firm was providing payments upfront for filing and obtaining information. Although that maybe true this service is not free of charge. This is where intimidation and manipulation came into place regarding the percentage of my settlement. At this time I do not view this firm as trustworthy. I have kept my public opinion to myself, out of decency and respect. I don’t feel that anyone should be taken advantage of , because of lack of knowledge or different profession. Being rude , because a client is unwilling to accept anything said without proof is unprofessional is wrong ethically and morally. In my opinion it’s a manipulation tactic. I don’t appreciate the treatment I’ve been receiving, or the dishonesty. After I emailed this to the firm , I was accused of being disrespectful, which I now way was disrespectful . I expressed my true feelings regarding my experience and of course they terminated representation after this, to cover up their lies. I stand by what I said !

One day in my mail I found a letter from my landlords attorney telling me my landlord had filed a petition with the San Francisco Rent Board to raise our rent. My roommate and I immediately went to the Tenants Union for counseling. We met Jason Wolford who told us we had a good case, but should hire an attorney to represent us at the hearing. Jason provided us with a fairly long lists of attorney. We reviewed the list and determined that Wolford Wayne was the best fit for our situation.
Megan Johnson, an associate at Wolford Wayne, was the person Jason recommended. Megan represented tenants in buyout negotiations, affirmative wrongful eviction cases and Rent Board cases. We met with Megan in person and we were impressed with her knowledge of our case. Megan felt our landlord’s case was weak and once they saw the rebuttal she would submit to the Rent Board they may withdraw the Petition to raise our rent. She clearly explained to us what information we needed to provide her to do her best in defending us at the Rent Board hearing. For various reasons that we do not understand and were out of our control the Rent Board took 6 months to schedule our hearing. During this time Megan was in touch with both us and the rent board working to facilitate a speedy hearing and to discuss with us the various documents the landlord provided as evidence why our rent should be raised.
In the end, the landlord withdrew their petition to raise our rent 3 days before the scheduled Rent Board hearing. This was frustrating, but all is well that ends well. Thanks to Megan Johnson we are now prepared to document our comings and goings and other information the landlord would twist to try and prove that we no longer lived in our apartment.
All around we could not ask for a more knowledgeable, goal oriented attorney who communicated with us in a timely manner in a way we could always understand. Megan was perfect! There is nothing I would ask her to do differently and without hesitation I would recommend her to anyone having the unfortunate experience of having to deal with the San Francisco Rent Board.

Please do yourself a favor and don't compound your issue(s) - call Bill Causey for representation. He came referred to me from a friend, who ironically knows the law pretty well himself. After my initial consultation with Bill - which is no cost/no strings attached - I knew I wouldn't have to interview anyone else. Bill is the consummate legal professional, and the other reviews are spot on, i.e. great staff, great service, and an excellent communicator (both inside and outside the courthouse). After trying to navigate social security for a year on my own I decided to make an appointment with Sarah who a friend recommended. I liked her from our first meeting she was upfront with me about my case which was what I was looking for in an attorney. Abdo & O’Brien was recommended to me by neighbor who had great results. My case was being denied by the worker comp insurance company. I had gone to two other law firms and been told by them that they were not interested in taking my case. Who wants to fight a world-wide company with 87 billion. (market capitalization) Abdo & O’Brien decided to represent me and explained everything about what was going on. Alex went to court and presented the facts of the case before the judge. The judge ruled in favor of us. That was huge. Every step of the way Alex and staff were there taking care of all the delays that this carrier would try. Alex would keep me updated and always took the time to explain the laws so I could understand. I made it tuff on him because I moved out of New York to a much friendlier state which created some minor issues. He was always very easy to get in touch with.
