I can't tell you how happy I am with Jacob and the Reitan team! They were recommended to me by my county assistance worker. After my 1st consultation I was hopeful for the first time in months. What I liked about Jacob was the briefing for my appeal hearing was detailed and had numourus Doctor notes. I also like the fact that he is very thorough when it comes to finding facts to prove why I should receive Ssdi. I did lose my case, yet I am confident that Jacob did his very best. I like that he wholeheartedly was supporting me all the way. I trust that he will do all he can to prove my case to the Appeal Council, in hope that they see something in my favor. The only thing I do not like is I am unable to understand reasons for denial. Jacob is patient when he explains things to me the best he can. He explained several things over and over again and has willing hands to do so. I'm sure not many lawyers would stand up for me the way Jacob does. Kudos.

I was referenced this law office by a friend when I was being confused with the amount of paperwork I kept receiving from the workers compensation board and New York state insurance fund. I made the call and received a call back within 15 minutes. The receptionist took my information and had everything ready for my appointment then next day. I walked into the office and didn't have to fill out any paperwork. It was all handled for me. I was early to the appointment and Rebeccah was on time. She sat down with me for a little over a hour and explained to me every paper I brought to her, She explained in detail everything that she would be doing for me. She is extremely helpful and patient with all the questions I had. I can't stress this enough but she seems to be a very motivated attorney and I'm happy she is working with me.

Met this attorney for a consult. Smart and straightforward. For example, attorney explained why the case was in the current state and gave a honest reason why a consult was the only course of action - at this time. I came away with the impression that this law firm remembers its about their clients. I know I received excellent information. Moreover, I go to a lot of offices, this practice is buttoned up - example the receptionist had documents prepared and when I arrived there was no "here's a clipboard come back when complete" this receptionist handled the startup and got the ball moving quickly. I truly regret not coming to this firm earlier.

Joe handled a Workman's Comp. Case for me. He is very knowledgable on all the laws. Stacy battled a travel insurance agency to get a full refund for me and my husband who was diagnosed with a progressive disease a couple of weeks before a big family trip to Italy. As if facing the diagnosis wasn't bad enough, learning that the travel insurance company did not want to honor our claim was so disheartening and very aggravating and frightening. I contacted Mr. Fisher regarding an injury I sustained due to a improperly assembled bicycle. I had made several trips to the hospital, and had lots of bills and paperwork being sent to me. Benjamin Steinberg is a good lawyer despite my case was lost due to Brookdale living center under handed techniques of forging my hand writing and fake witnesses. Ben gave a great fight. He cares about his clients and he does check on them. Going into my case I wish I would have seen him sooner before my company manipulated me into agreeing to their ideas. To those who are seeking a lawyer I would recommend him. Do not risk your chance by going to your company for advise because they will take advantage of the employee. I express the importance to getting to know the knowledge you need by going to the lawyer first before going to your company. It would have made a world of difference. After a near 6 year fight trying to achieve a disability adjudication hearing, without success, I turned to Melissa. She was thorough in her initial intake, she maintained/endured constant communication and I do mean constant communications from myself to her office and responded every time. Not once did she ask me to please stop. I was appreciative of her understanding, compassion, desire to "get this one done".
While the outcome was not a slam dunk victory and fell well short of overall expectations, she still achieved a favorable decision from the judge. I would have appreciated the considerations that Melissa had provided me, from the adjudication process of the administration itself. The system is flawed. It needs repaired. Never the less Melissa receives the 3-C's award from me....... I have a personal journey to undergo from here. It won't be easy, but I am positive if I have any questions MY attorney will respond...

When I came to Melissa i was very discouraged having been denied my social security disability claim, after a LONG wait, coupled with having to leave my job that i loved and enjoyed.
