I was rear-ended and as a result have permanent pain in my back. I was offered $3,000 by the at fault insurance company. I then knew that I had to hire a lawyer, but was uncertain of how to figure out who was going to be honest and look out for my best interest. I was VERY near the end of my statue of limitations with my auto accident and I got bounced around by several different firms. They all explained that I had waited too long and they didn't have enough time to help me. I was really discouraged but was eventually referred to Kafoury & McDougal. They were very positive and told me that even with the situation they would be able to represent me.
Jason was amazing and not only got a full offer settlement from the at fault company, but then filed a claim with my insurance company and got a total of $100,000. I never would have been able to do this without them. They are now handling an accident that my grandparents were in, as well as an accident that a good friend's father was in because I have complete confidence in the firm. Jason Kafoury does more than talk the talk. He is willing to take on hard and complex cases that most other lawyers would be too scared to take. I know this because he took mine. Hiring him for my own case against some major institutions was a great decision and I've referred other clients to him too. He exudes confidence in the courtroom and juries love him. In 2005, my company purchased some (new) heavy equipment for a specific project. The equipment failed immediately, and the manufacturer would not warranty the repairs. This resulted in an almost insurmountable financial hardship. I met with numerous lawyers, that would not take my case. Pete Mackey and his co-counsel, not only took the case, but won at trial. The result was the highest jury verdict award, in that particular court, in nine years! Pete remains my attorney to this day, and I have no apprehension in recommending him to anyone.

Through no fault of my own, I found myself embroiled in a complicated multi-level governmental personal injury case. I was struck by a vehicle driven by a municipal employee assigned to a federal task force. I suffered significant serious injuries and loss of work time as well as property damage. I faced a legal battle against a defendant with unlimited financial resources as well as teams of experienced attorneys. In addition, the legality in governmental cases is quite complicated.
From the very beginning, Anthony assured me he would take care of me, and I should concern myself with my health and recovery, that he would handle the legal side of things. While riding his bicycle, my husband, Chris, was hit by a car whose driver ran a red light. Chris sustained serious injuries, and we knew that we needed to contact a lawyer to help us protect Chris's future, which will probably be full of pain. It was a good feeling to entrust Chris's lawsuit to Anthony's capable hands and not have to worry about the processes or the outcomes. Malcolm represented me in a consumer protection case in mid 2015. He was very understandable and listened to my concerns carefully and gave the most honest recommendations including- the best or worse possible outcomes from the case. He did not pressure me to make any decisions, rather would advice and give me enough time to make my own decisions in accordance to what I was comfortable with.
His communication skills were excellent. He literally informed me about every new finding and details about the case as soon as he can- through email, text or phone call. If Malcolm were running late for a meeting, he would call and inform me about it and even give the reason as to why he is late.
Malcolm is kind. For services that I could not afford, he referred me to the Memphis Area Legal Organization to aid me with some form of assistance. He also provided me with invoice documentation of every cost of his excellent services. Prior to my case, his good heart was also shown when he donated his car to benefit an organization I was working for as an intern- the Church Health Center, a clinic providing coverage for the working uninsured poor in Memphis.
He is a fast thinker, calculates his opponents’ thoughts wisely and makes a smart moves based on that. Due to his demands, the company I was suing was willing to drop the case even before heading to court and reimbursed me with enough money to recover my property. And with wonderful twists to the story, it was also featured on the commercial appeal newspaper. Malcolm is an excellent lawyer. I would highly recommend him for all your legal services matters.

From the beginning I was glad that I came to Charlie and his team for my personal injury case. They really took to time to listen to what happened to me and were truly empathetic of what I went through. I also felt like they were really on top of my case and always worked on collecting documents with plenty of time to spare so I never had to rush to meet any deadline which I really appreciate. In 2001, our family hired Michael to handle our father's passing at a nursing home. It was a very hard time for our family, but he was so kind, gracious, understanding, and sympathetic throughout the process. You don't find many lawyers who have a soft heart, well in my opinion that is. Mitchell Hoffman & Wolf represented my family in the construction related death of my son. I met Paul in the initial interview as my ex-husband was referred by a friend to the firm. Paul displayed a fierce edge that was off-putting and I knew immediately he would be successful in negotiating a settlement changing my son's life to a legacy. My young family was in a car accident recently. Thankfully, our injuries were not severe. However, we had to deal with a severely damaged car, minor injuries to my wife and I and the stress of dealing with our two boys (both under the age of 4) who were certainly shaken by the experience. After some initial back and forth with the insurance company on my own, the insurance adjuster made its "final" offer of payment. I was not comfortable with the process and made an appointment with Ms. Holm. She took the time to understand my case (even though I am sure it was a very minor matter for her office). She put together a comprehensive demand letter to the insurance company....and lo and behold....the insurance company DOUBLED their payment offer!! We could not have been happier with the personal attention offered to us by Ms. Holm. We highly recommend her as a legal advisor.

Alright, sure, I’ll admit I’m old and set in my ways. Some even say ornery and full of spit. And I’ll admit when I first went into the office at the Corbett Law Firm I wanted the dad (Jim Corbett) as my lawyer, not Matt Corbett the son. Matt looked like a kid to me and I figured they just kept Matt around the office to wax their cars and go get hamburgers for everyone at lunch. I needed someone with cold steely eyes and an itchy trigger finger. My case was special and I needed someone with experience. As far as I knew only the dad had that kind of take no prisoners, getter done kind of reputation. My philosophy is, if you need to go to war then get someone to go with you who has been there. Failure is not an option! But I got stuck with the kid so my new plan was to hang around with him just long enough to get to see his dad come through the office then fall down on the floor and grab a hold of his leg and make him drag me around until he agreed to take my case. But I never saw him. I guess he still works there? He must have some kind of a special Batman cave entrance? But, I’m glad now that I didn’t. One – well, because I’d have wrinkled my cloths. Two - well, because who needs the dad when Matt’s around! Man, this young man turned out to be a go getter. I was surprised! He took care of everything from A to Z for me and got me the help I needed. Talk about a chip off the old block. And in the end he had that insurance company down on the ground crying uncle before I knew it. And rightly so! If I would have known then what I know now I never would have asked for the dad, what ever his name is. I’d have asked for Matt right away. This young man went above and beyond the call of duty for me. And let me tell ya, the trains run on time when you’ve got this young man working for ya. Give him a try you’ll be glad you did. Did I mention he does cars too? Or maybe it’s the dad, I’m not sure?

I hired Mr. Watson in 1998 for a work related auto accident with injury. The corporation wanted to get rid of me in order to make the problem go away. I was a very good emplyee with an outstanding work ethic. In one instant I was struck by a car running a red light. My life did a 180. In a time I needed support, and was suffering both physically and emotionally I found Mr. Watson and his team of staff. They handled me delicately, understood my needs, and fought to get my life back on track. When I was out of work Mr. Watson personally found work for me to do so I could continue to make a living during the legal process. Years later, just a month ago he repented me against an insurance company to recover work related income lost to their client wrecking our work vehicle which is our source of income. We are so thankful that we had someone like Mark to help us through such a hard time. Mark is extremely professional and knowledgeable. I never doubted that he knew what he was doing and had the background and legal expertise to get us through any hurdles. He was very good at keeping us informed throughout the entire legal process. He was very good at explaining the options and letting us decide which route to take. When we were unsure, we relied on his judgement and could not be happier with the results. Mark is an amazing person and he goes out of his way to make you feel like family. He also stands up for you more then you could imagine. He will fight for you and never give up. He is extremely loving and kind but don't forget that he is a lawyer and has that side of him fighting for you at all times. Mark is the very best at what he does. He has been in my life for a long time and it is hard to think about not having him calling to see how I am doing. I also want to add that Mark has a great team behind him. I was involved in an MVA with a tractor trailer while working that resulted in totaling my vehicle and requiring three back surgeries and missing months from work. The worker’s compensation company believed that since they felt I was not at fault kept pushing me to help them recover their monies that had been paid out for medical payments and wages. After threatening me to help them, I went and consulted with Mr. Collins about my options and how pushy the worker’s comp company was becoming. After a few days, I hired him to represent me against the trucking company and the worker’s comp claim became subordinate to mine.
