For years my husband and I thought about creating a living trust but had assumed the process would be confusing, expensive and time-consuming. We could not have been more wrong. We attended two online Zoom meetings with attorney Kent Phelps where he explained what a trust is, why it's important to create one and how to go about doing so. Kent was able to gather the information needed to create our trust from just these two online meetings plus the final in-person meeting to sign documents. Our financial planner told us Kent was one of the most friendly and easy-to-work-with attorneys they had interacted with. My husband and I highly recommend Phelps Estate Planning.

I needed to setup a Trust and Logan at Phelps Estate Planning was great (and all his supporting staff too). Never having been involved in setting up a trust I was pleasantly surprised by how easy they made it and how very comprehensive it was. It covered all kinds of unlikely but possible things which I never would have thought to have the paperwork cover. After couple of phone calls to get some details they got all the paperwork setup for me to sign. The best part honestly was all the documentation and checklists they included for me to do to which included things to be sure to title into the trust and also planning for my entire estate. Things you don't think about like passwords, list of accounts, list of contacts (attorney's, doctors, etc) all have a page for me to just go down and fill out. When this is finally needed (hopefully many years away) I can feel confident it will make the entire process for family as easy as possible without having to scour to get information, it is all right there in the binder. Highly recommend and worth it over doing an "internet lawyer" or DIY estate planning. It isn't easy to think about...but make the investment not for yourself but for those you *will* leave behind some day. Very glad I finally did.

We were hesitant in setting up a family trust because we were unsure of the complexity and cost involved. All of our fears were calmed after meeting with Kurt. The level of professionalism and quality received far exceeded our expectations. Phelp's association with our brokerage made information transition seamless. Kurt made a personal visit to our home after completing a virtual interview. Everything was explained in detail and a complete portfolio was provided. The best thing Kurt told us was "We're his client for life" insuring us our heirs would be provided with the same level of professionalism and empathy as we were provided. Can't say enough good things about the team at Phelp's. Just wish we knew about them when our parents were setting up their estate and eventually getting ripped off.
