To state that I am impressed with Wendy is an understatement. Though newly admitted as a member of the Arizona State Bar, she brings to our profession a wealth of business experience, focused in the area of business marketing and advertising, though certainly not limited to that area of the law. She is astute, confident and a polished communicator, demonstrating sophistication and diligence as she analyzes a legal issue. Being, myself, a lawyer of 34+ years experience, licensed in both Arizona and California, I am happy to know Wendy and would not hesitate to associate with her on business law projects.

I was shocked and dismayed to learn (while boarding my plane for my vacation) that my employer of 6 years had included me along with about 600 of my co-workers in a Reduction in Force, effective immediately. As a 55 year old woman who had recently been moved into an elite group within the organization, I had questions!
I have known Wendy for only about 2 years, but she was a colleague friend of my significant other for many years so he recommended that I contact Wendy for some guidance and counsel. She responded to my message immediately on a Sunday afternoon and we set up a time to talk when I returned home. I received excellent guidance, advice and a plan for next steps after she interviewed me about the facts. Her knowledge and plan to negotiate made me feel confident at a time when my emotions were raw and my confidence was lacking.
I would highly recommend Wendy Metcalf Anderson if you are seeking a trustworthy, knowledgeable and professional Attorney who will work hard to get you the best outcome for your situation.

I went to Bivens & Associates based on a recommendation from a friend who said they were excellent attorneys and were very responsive to the needs of the elderly. Unfortunately, what I found is that they are not very responsive to the needs of their clients. The initial intake meeting with Stephanie Bivens and my parents to discuss setting up a trust and their wills, was fine. Stephanie was patient and attentive and seemed to understand what my parents wanted. Unfortunately, she either failed to clearly communicate those wants to her associate attorneys and staff or they failed to understand. The initial set of papers my parents and I received did not reflect the conversations with Stephanie. In spite of asking to have someone call me to discuss (a request made both my phone and email) that was not communicated clearly internally and I had to follow up to find out what was happening. It's one thing to cause me hassle, but when staff started calling my 80+ parents and not taking careful notes and calling back the next day, three times, making mistakes every time, I knew it had got out of hand. Attorneys working with the elderly should understand that multiple calls to elderly parents and making mistakes multiple times can cause frustration and upset at a level that it would not cause younger clients. I emailed Stephanie with my frustration and asked her to call me the next business day - I did not receive a phone call of an email in reply. Interestingly when sent an email terminating representation, I received a response within a few hours. Bivens & Associates would do well to provide that sort of rapid response to clients BEFORE they are being terminated.
