In the first beginning the team I'm dealing with seen like they really wanted to help me. Since I never had to collect unemployment before but only half my issue resolved with my current employer. Which appeal was file, and I did receive a welcome letter no appointment yet. Now that my debit card has been mail to them, which they are not going to mail my card to' me because my case under billing review. My mental state is not very good at this time, which I haven't been sleeping or eating and was told I have 30 days to look for a place to live now I'm really stress and consider looking for another Law Firm

I cannot say enough great things about Pershing Square! I got denied for benefits in January 2024. I appealed my case and got a notice in the mail about my case in May, I contacted Pershing and from the beginning they were kind, professional and knowledgeable . I had a pretty tough case but Pershing took a chance and took on my case. Assaf Lichtash went over the case with me, prepared me for the case and called me a day before, morning of and right after the case. He did tell me that the judge I had was more difficult than others and it would be a little difficult. I just got my results and I won the court case with the judge deciding in our favor. I truly believe I would not have been able to win this case without the help of Pershing and specifically Assaf. They prepared me, worked with me, and helped me in so many ways. I contacted Pershing Square Law Firm about wrongfully being denied unemployment benefits and also fined. I hired tjem and Letty Camarillo became mu attorney. She presented my case so professionally that the judge ruled in my favor. I strongly recommend the firm as well as Letty to anyone needing an attorney for similar issues.

I wish I never hired them to represent me.They barely did anything for me. All they did really was file an appeal for my case which I could done myself. The woman who represented me didn’t say much at all during my 1 hour long hearing which I lost because I got a grumpy judge. You have to pay them a pretty penny upfront to represent you which sucks because you’re not guaranteed to win. If you lose prepare to pay EDD and the money that you wasted on the lawyer. Honestly this is a lesson learned for me when hiring lawyers. Paying lawyers upfront does not mean you will win your case. You’re better off representing yourself.

I think my case was very unique in many ways. First off, I'm out-of-state no longer in California.It's over ten years old and they've been taking money from me for all those years. Very happy with Megan there who helped me win my case against EDD! Everyone I interacted with there were also very helpful. Slight minus was their app, that I couldn't get on my Android phone.

They are very knowledgeable and will help you as much as possible. If you are honest and discuss with them your intentions and how you got caught up with EDD overpayments, they helped me find the right words to say in court to benefit my case, and they found the correct legal speak to back up my words. I owed EDD almost $4k, and my case Lawyer, Letty, managed to help me clear my whole debt, which lead to me receiving all the back pay for my UI penalty weeks, and I will get a check back from EDD of the money I’ve already paid back (that refund check will take 24 weeks though). EDD gears move slow, so be patient, but working with Pershing was worth it for me (I had to pay $1k retainer, but it was in increments and paid over 4 months). Their app makes it easy to upload documents for their viewing and yours. I hope you never have to deal with this situation, it’s very frustrating, but if I didn’t have Pershing’s help, I’d be paying off thousands for the next year +

I'm so glad I decided to use PSLF for my unemployment denial case. My lawyer, Megan, was great. She won my case, and the rest of the team there was always very communicative and easy to work with. They made the process so easy, and did all of the heavy lifting for me.

We hired pershing square law firm as my wife was wrongfully denied unemployment benefits. Office staff and her attorney, Megan Lazaar, did an excellent job representing my wife at the hearing, and she was successful in reversing the original denial, and she got paid the rightful amount that she was eligible for. The only hiccup was during fee payment, but it was resolved to our satisfaction. If anyone reading this review needs help, if you are denied unemployment, please consider hiring this law firm.
