Waste of time and money

I came across Gomez Law during a stressful time in my life. They helped me from the start with a free consultation which helped put my mind to ease. Once I knew I needed legal representation, Mark and Wendy were with me step by step. Wendy was very responsive throughout the process and helped me settle my case with the opposing party. I went to Gomez Law firm in 2022 seeking legal assistance on a partition issue which was a very sensitive family situation. Towards the end of the case it was more urgent for a prompt resolution and attorney James Hornbuckle and his team, specially Kelly Larios were on top of the issue that helped resolve it. Where to start? In all honesty I had called 5 or 6 Law Firms to seek consultation and to discuss some means of getting relief in my particular legal matter. Some Law Firms wanted a retainer even before any meaningful discussion would occur. Some setup consultation and canceled, other referred me to other types of attorneys. One even suggest that I call the California Bar’s referral service. This kind of response from attorneys give you an idea how complex and nuanced my legal matter was. After a week or so calling various law firms, I made the initial call to Gomez Law LLC. My call was returned by an intake personnel and then referred to James Hornbuckle for consult. This consult was a breath of fresh air, and to my amazement, Jim actually listened. After discussing my particulars, we had a plan of action and a method forward. And in my case the initial move of petitioning the court paid off and we were given relief by the court. But even if that had failed, we had a backup plan. So that give you an idea of how in-depth our discussions were. I enjoyed by contacts with the office personnel, especially Shayla Chavez, the Law Clerk working on my case. She was courteous, prompted and efficient and more than anything else she did what she said she would do, both did (the Attorney). I mean if they said they would call or email me they did in a timely manner. That communication goes a long way to instill trust, for me. I am gratefully to them for their work, and they would be my first call in any other legal matter that maybe come up. I am not a person that writes reviews, but in this instance, I write this, in hopes that other may find my experience informative and helpful in finding an Attorney and a law firm like Gomez Law that will represent your legal needs as vigorously as they did for me. Just as others have stated here, she was generous with her time and advice on our challenging situation with the "sleepy" 2nd mortgage on our house.
