In my felony case their were a few bumps in the road I started out with a public defender with 30 years experience but would never return my calls and was cold as Alaska. Then I got a male attorney who made promises without even looking at my case. I prayed for a decent attorney to represent me. My prayers were answered when I found Shelby Alberts. She took her time, she gave me both the pros and the cons to taking my case to a preliminary hearing. She never told me what I should do but rather give me the knowledge to make my own decision and no matter what my decision was she was going to do her best. The DA wanted to give me a year and we both refused that then we came back a month later they offered 6 months we didn't take that. In the end Ms. Alberts got the Judge to lower it to 90 days with half time credits so total days I received are 45 with alternative programs. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an attorney whose not only knowledgeable but who has compassion and who softens the courtroom with such a male dominant field.
