When the Court assigned Mark Mayfield as our counsel, we thought we would only have the typical lawyer-client relationship. We had a misunderstanding on one of our meetings but when we hired him as our private lawyer, things had changed. We had the chance to talk long enough that we became comfortable around him. We could e-mail him anytime we want and he would e-mail us back even if it's late at night. When we are in Court, he makes sure that we're doing okay and he constantly checks on our son. He also tells us about his wonderful family and he shares to us a lot of things about parenting. We feel that we're being treated as part of his family.
