I was in fairly desperate need of legal assistance in an unlawful detainer/eviction situation. The partners at Mellman and Mellman have been expert, friendly, responsive, and extremely helpful. I reccommend them without hesitation.

My landlord served me an eviction notice one day prior to me leaving the country giving me 60 days to find a new residence. I reached out to Stuart and within 30 minutes he called me back and reviewed the eviction notice. Stuart was able to uncover that it was illegal in multiple ways and gave me confidence that I would be able to find a new home in time. The best news yet was once the landlord was informed of the illegal nature of the notice, I was given a free months rent and an additional 60 days to vacate on top of the original 60 given to me. Without their help I would have had to store my items at friends and families houses while I looked. They saved me thousands of dollars and couldn't be more glad I worked with them.

I reached out to the office of Mellman and Mellman to discuss a legal matter regarding personal property damage. After our initial conversation, Stuart Mellman recommended to file a small claims case to resolve the issue. His office took care of filing the small claims case at the court and serving the defendant by certified mail. After several weeks prior to our 2nd court date, the defendant made an offer to settle outside of court. I was satisfied with the settlement amount.
