It took a bit longer than I anticipated, but the final result was worth the wait. The documents prepared by Preston Estate Planning are comprehensive. Estate planning is a complex undertaking, but Preston provides organization along with the legal documents. All documents needed are put into a notebook by Preston, and each is clearly identified. The firm even provides a form for the client to identify the locations where important items are found in one's residence, a really great way of letting beneficiaries of the estate know where to look for things, and of making sure nothing is overlooked. I am impressed with the thoroughness of the Preston firm, from preparing a will and trust to making sure the trust is properly funded. There is a clear advantage to having documents prepared by a firm that specializes in estate planning, which Preston does.

Way back in the 1985 we had Preston do our first family trust. We recently updated it and are very satisfied with the results. They have a good monthly newsletter, and an interactive monthly Q&A "zoom' meeting. We are always pleased with the quick response when we have a personal question or problem. The binder (that also has a thumb drive) they provide is a good organization and reference tool. The wallet card is a wonderful source of where our medical documents and directives can be accessed by regular and new medical providers and especially in case of an accident or sudden illness. Annually they review our documents and send us a report of what needs to be looked at and possibly updated such as a change in titling of a deed, etc. Hopefully they will soon be able to have in-person meetings again that will provide good interaction with Preston's staff and participants.

Format + Contents of EVERY meeting is Great! However I get frustrated at 6 month and monthly meetings that there are no identifying Name Plates in front of each PEP Speaker throughout the meeting. If I know the names of who talks about what...then I know who to contact at PEP for my questions...

My family has learned the value of having a complete and up-to-date trust the hard way. When my older sister passed away, she had a trust from another attorney that was never completed and had not been reviewed in years, and honestly, it was just a waste of money.
