I cannot speak highly enough of the Leigh Law Group. We have had a few advocates and two law firms throughout our trials and tribulations with our school district. The first law firm refused to move forward with our case and essentially bullied us into taking a retro-settlement with the district. We quickly switched law firms and started working with Damien Troutman from the Leigh Law Group. I liked Damien because he was to the point, responsive, and communicative. It also helps that there was a positive outcome to our litigation, something that Damien never doubted. He was willing to go through an entire trial and even go federal if that is what it took. We are forever grateful for the support and representation from Leigh Law Group. After moving from one school district to another, our child was left without a school and approved services for months, disrupting their learning and causing significant regression in behavioral & educational development. We tried on numerous occasions to work with the new district towards a solution, including attending school with our child for several months due to the districts inability to find and hire appropriate staff, so we went through multiple parenting groups on Facebook to find someone to represent our child and family in litigation. Recently as a former client and parent of a special needs child, I turned to Leigh Law Group for help for myself. After retiring, I took a PT after school job w a 3rd party in a neighboring county district. I was falsely accused by a parent and then wrongfully denied access to the school by the principal without due process. It was the worst experience ever! No legal action was filed by the parent but I was terminated by the 3rd party! Attorney Damien at Leigh Law was informed and empowering about my rights bc these cases of false accusation are getting more common. Due to his knowledge and support, I was able to document my evidence and stand up for reputation and meet with a school administrator. Turns out there was no report filed with the district bc there was no basis for the accusation. They met with the principal who didn’t have the right to dismiss me. Trying to assess Mandy's ability to help our case, we had two phone consultations with her. By the end of the second, we had decided not to retain her services, and told her so. After the phone call, Mandy sent an unsolicited email message, followed by a series of three more email messages. Each message felt to me as rather unwelcome and unpleasant. However, these messages were revealing in that they made it clear to us that choosing not to retain Mandy was a very prudent decision. Since then, my wife discovered a series of reviews online critical of Mandy. Reading them after this experience, many of them seem to us as both credible and familiar. Suffice to say: My opinion is that one should avoid working with Mandy.

I will forever be grateful to Mandy and the Team at Leigh Law Group. Our daughter's struggle with learning issues was dismissed for nearly two years, and the school's reluctance to evaluate her was frustrating and disheartening. Watching our daughter struggle and feeling powerless to provide the support she needed was heartbreaking and overwhelming. We had our daughter evaluated by an outside psychologist, which revealed the presence of Dyslexia and ADHD. It was a pivotal moment that clarified our daughter's challenges and opened the doors to the necessary support and accommodations she deserved. We informed the school of her diagnosis, and they still refused to evaluate her and wanted to continue with SST meetings. SST meetings had not helped thus far; I reached a breaking point.
