We had very difficult situation with our online school. They've breached the agreement each year, not providing services, cutting services, etc.The last incident is where they agreed to provide schooling but failed in doing so and my son did not get any schooling for months and our current attorney at that moment was useless - I came to Mandy and hoping she can help with the breach of contract and not hoping for much actually - but WOW WOW WOW - SHE IS THE BEST ATTORNEY in my 10 years of experience with school and services - she pulled through very difficult case in a very short period of time, I am forever thankful for her help and I wish I started with her 10 years ago, I could've saved my life from griefs, tears and headache the school system had done to me and my son. My son Cortez was misdiagnosed, it wasn’t til he was over 3 years old when we learned he was profoundly Deaf in both ears. After the long process of qualifying and receiving his cochlear implants Cortez was 5 years old. 95% of the world was against my decision in giving Cortez an oral education and the wonderful opportunity to live in a oral world. Educators , therapists, Doctors, they all said it was to late for Cortez to be oral. They said Cortez had lots of other issues that would prevent him being successful in life. The IEP’s were mentally draining. I went to Mandy Leigh firm for help. Mandy was exceptional in every way. She was extremely knowledgeable about my rights as a Mother. Although the public school and their attorney continued to fight against us Hard. Mandy Leigh and her team fought even harder. For the next 2 years Mandy would spend hours communicating with me and attended every IEP meeting. To make a long story short. Thank you Mandy and your awesome team. You saved my family. Today Cortez is 12 years old. Cortez is a very bright young man that never stops talking. Lol . He is a happy boy who loves basketball, music and reading. Cortez is currently in the 6th grade, maintaining A’s and B’s in a self contained class. I trust them with my life and I would suggest you do the same if you want success with no worries

After failing to proper assess a paper I wrote and not being able to follow their own policy, I was left stuck Leigh was able to ensure that my work was accessible and I was compensated for the universities failures.

Our school district special education staff would have gladly continued kicking the can down the road forever, blaming everything on us (the thoroughly exhausted parents), and would have been satisfied with our child becoming a drop-out delinquent - if not for Mandy. Somehow the school district figured that a 0.0 GPA was not a problem for a kid with a complex IEP and many years of academic failure. When Mandy got involved, they started to listen, started to cooperate, and the stalling and intimidation ceased, replaced by a willingness to place our child in a supportive, therapeutic environment where he continues to thrive (3.2 GPA & teachers describing him as “conscientious” & “wonderful,” and that they “couldn’t ask for a better student.” That has NEVER happened before!). Even the school district’s attorney started to publicly advocate for our child, in opposition to the special education director, who was so accustomed to blocking every helpful idea, test, or accommodation. It was nothing short of amazing. Mandy is not cheap, but our child’s life is priceless and he now has a future. We recommend Mandy wholeheartedly.

We can't stress enough the importance of hiring an education attorney to guide you through the IEP process. We waited, and wasted, 2 years before seeking help and our only regret is that we waited so long. Mandy and her team are informed, committed and passionate.
