Where do I even begin? I became a client exactly a year ago and never looked back. Castaneda & Co. has been nothing but good to me. While they specialize in real estate, they had no problem dealing with my bizarre case. I was accused of some awful things. I was harassed at work, at home, and on the internet. The court system was failing me and allowed a simple case to drag out practically a year due to a crazy woman’s court theatrics. It took a huge tole on my life both financially and personally. Matt McElroy took over my case when the lead attorney on my case left the firm. He may as well have been there the entire time because he knew the case inside and out in (what felt like) a few hours. Long story short (well, maybe just a little long) with the help of both Matt McElroy and Damian Castaneda, we triumphed in the end and won my case. Damian Castaneda is one of the most genuine and caring individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting (that’s saying a lot for an attorney!). He was EXTREMELY (multiply that by roughly 40 thousand) generous when it came to billing. You’d only be so lucky to have these guys on your side! THE WINNING SIDE! Damian Castaneda helped me recently as my lawyer in a highly stressful situation. I highly recommend him for the following reasons: 1. Thoroughness: I messaged at least a dozen law firms. All of them replied but Damian's reply was the most detailed. I was blown away by the level of detail (he cited cases, laws, etc) in answering my question. 2. Smart cookie! If you're going to get into any legal business, you need a smart lawyer who will guide help you. From my correspondence with him, I could tell that he was a bookworm in law school--which is wonderful in my case! 3. Sincerity: I felt a burden lifted after each correspondence with Damian. My husband and I trusted him completely. Just from the first correspondence we knew he was different from most of the other lawyers we've consulted. We felt that he practiced law for the right reasons and had our best interest at heart. We never felt pressured to make any decision which we were not ready for and we felt that he educated us about pros/cons of each of our options. If there are more than 5 stars, I would have given them.. Actually, I felt from within that I must write about Damian. I needed some legal advice but wasn't sure where do I start or to go. Damian's free service really came to the rescue. Even though the free phone consultation was 30 minutes he went beyond an hour asking lot of questions to fully understand the case. Once he had the complete idea, he did the research. After that he shared lot of resources and gave detailed explanation about where we stand and what can be done to move forward to get the justice. He is truly a professional, local to San Jose and enjoys helping local community. To my surprise, he didn't look at the time and didn't charge for his extra time and continue to discuss and answer all my queries patiently.
