I had the pleasure of being represented by Walter Schouten. Ironically, he was referred to me by an attorney that I consulted with. I was told to call Walter because he is very knowledgeable and he's an outstanding trial lawyer. Walter took on my case and he was assisted by an amazing paralegal in Vanessa Enciso. This dynamic duo believed that they could help my situation in securing me a new trial for a custody case. They went to work immediately. This was 2 weeks after I lost at trial while being represented by a different firm.
Long story long...Walter was able to get me a new trial, and he was able to get the judge to change her previous ruling. I am now the custodial parent of my 7 year old son.
I have to admit that even if I wasn't awarded custodial rights, I was more than satisfied with the representation and would have been able to live with the ruling a lot easier. I was living a nightmare for almost four years. I sold my home and the buyers' attorney fell for a scam e-mail, wiring my mortgage payoff to a fraudulent account at my servicing bank. All of the funds were completely withdrawn from the fraudulent account in a few days. I had no idea that any of this happened until the bank deducted a mortgage payment from my account weeks later. After my real estate attorney discovered what happened, the bank was notified of the fraud and told me not to worry, and that they would freeze the account until the situation was rectified. The buyers' attorney refused to take any responsibility, claimed to be a victim, and never notified the buyers that their home was subject to a lien from an unsettled mortgage. The local police and the FBI were notified and investigated and found that the scammers succeeded in getting the funds overseas. Everyone involved in the transaction denied responsibility and then the bank denied saying that they would freeze the account and referred me to collections, destroying my credit and putting my security clearance and livelihood at risk. I hired Tim and PLG to represent me in this matter, and when the bank refused to even discuss what had happed, he filed a civil suit on my behalf. Tim and PLG were relentless in fighting for me and helping me navigate through dealing with my employer as my clearance was in jeopardy. Were it not for Tim, I would have lost my clearance and my job. Unfortunately, there is little recourse for victims of this type of fraud and it is impossible to fight major banks, insurance companies, and attorneys without having the best on your side. I was lucky to have Tim and PLG on my side and I received a favorable outcome. Tim is passionate about what he does, seeking justice for his clients, fighting for "the little guy"! I hope no one ever has to go through what I did, but if you do, you need Parlatore Law Group in your corner!

Ms. Kim saved the day.
My divorce process spanned more than 2 years and was highly contested. I was awarded a permanent protective order by Fairfax County and then had to continue to battle my ex to save my pension and retirement- as well as my cash and house where I was living with our son.
My original attorney did well in some areas but she failed to properly document how I intended to pay my ex his share of equity in the home as well as a portion my retirement. She also wrote the divorce settlement agreement in such a way as to leave the manner in which I would pay my ex completely ambiguous - there was no mention of “cash” or “paid from x account.” Therefore, the agreement I signed I believed was what I agreed to pay and how I intended to pay.
Once everything was signed, I believed my attorney was transferring the amount from my retirement into an account in my ex’s name. I went on a vacation to the Bay Islands of Central America to celebrate the end of my divorce. While on a Honduran beach, I learned that my attorney had not initiated that process yet and accused me of lying, claiming I had told her I would be taking out a loan for over $100,000.00 to pay my ex in cash.
There was no written correspondence between my attorney and I where I ever agreed to such a stupid solution. It was 2023, a year of extreme tightening by the FED with high interest rates. Why would I have ever agreed to essentially take out a second mortgage at an average 7% interest rate when I had the money sitting in my retirement?
I instructed my attorney to explain the miscommunication to my ex’s attorney and to start the retirement benefits division immediately. For over two weeks, my attorney did not do what I asked. She insulted me. She accused me of lying. She attempted to coerce me to give my ex all the cash I had as a way to meet the impending deadline that would be missed. She claimed a judge might force me to pay in cash even though the property settlement agreement that I signed never mentioned cash. She thought she could strong-arm me into doing something terrible to my finances to avoid her having to admit she made mistakes in documentation.
Rather than give in, I used my smartphone from the third world country I was in, and consulted with Legal Aid resources. This legal resource is phenomenal. From there, I found Ms. Kim. I told her my predicament and she agreed to take my case while I was miles away and in distress.
Ms. Kim found a way for my to keep my house, keep all of my cash, and avoid a “show cause” complaint for missing the payment deadline so that I could pay the way I had always intended (out of my retirement account). She also charged me a very reasonable fee to solve everything- which was roughly $2,000 whereas my previous attorney had told me I would have to pay $6,000 or more and would have to go to court.
I highly recommend Ms. Kim. She is efficient, a true advocate, and comes at a very reasonable price.

People rely on lawyers and attorneys, usually, at points in their life that they'd rather not talk about. But, that's how it goes. Mr. Fuste was that attoney that for me at the point I needed him he went through every single step of the way with me when I had lost hope and thought I had lost my career in law enforcement. Mr. Fuste gave me the motivation and showed me that there was a light at the end of every dark tunnel. Mr. Fuste even checked on my well being do to the stress and traumatic experience I was passing. They had released me of my duties and told me I was no longer going to be receiving any payment. Mr. Fuste worked extremely diligently on my case and for the five months I had been released sitting at home he was able to still get me my payments. Mr. Fuste finalized and won the case after just 5 months. I returned back to work thanks to him I am where I am today and continue doing what I love most.

Lauren is a great lawyer and was really supportive throughout my messy, long and difficult divorce, custody and child support case in 2012. Lauren Kane got the job done! I am 70 years old and was a homemaker throughout my 36 year marriage and I was basically dependent financially on my husband. My husband left abruptly 3 years ago. Michael Reinhardt is a fantastic attorney to whom I will be forever grateful. He is friendly, caring, capable and experienced. I messed up badly several year’s ago and was caught red-handed, in the act. I was arrested, jailed, and charged with a felony criminal offense that carried a mandatory minimum sentence of eighteen months imprisonment. The outcome - guilty - seemed inevitable, and I dreaded the consequences. Michael Reinhardt represented me during the many court appearances I had to make. He explained the various stages of the judicial proceedings, and contacted me regularly to discuss progress and the strategy he was following to best defend me.
