Comprehensive plan put together.

Matthew was able to help us move our Colorado property into a trust. We are out of state--he made the process easy and very low stress. He was prompt, clear, and friendly in his communication. The price for this service was also the most competitive compared to other offices. Mia was very friendly in answering and returning calls as well. Kevin Hancock did an outstanding job, far exceeding my highest expectations in preparing our comprehensive Estate Plan. Kevin was very thorough and clearly communicated the extensive amount of information, ensuring our understanding. This enabled comfortable and wise decisions. Mia Pitre, his Administrative Assistant was also outstanding from my first phone call, and throughout the entire process with professionalism, courtesy and completeness for documents and actions. My husband and I have been meaning to update our wills, create a trust, and put together an estate plan for 7 plus years. In under a month from start to finish (with only about 4 hours of our personal time),Kevin Hancock and his office, put together an entire estate plan for us. We started out answering some basic questions, met with Kevin Hancock for an initial consultation, where he explained the pros and cons of different strategies. The whole experience was painless and I can’t believe we waited so long to do it. Working with Kevin Hancock was a 6 STAR experience. I highly recommend his office for all your estate plan needs! The best part is that we got it done at a very reasonable price and there are no annual update fees for maintaining the trust!

I contracted with the Law Office of Kevin R. Hancock to assist me and prepare the appropriate documentation to close-out a probate court case. I dealt with Attorney Matthew Collett. During our initial telephone consultation, Matthew listened to me very intently and asked appropriate questions to understand the isuues. He was very interested in assisting me through the process. He made the process very seamless and easy for me. I have piece-of-mind that the documentation was prepared properly and complete. He and his staff treated me with respect and in a very friendly and professional manner. I definitely will use their firm in the future if the need arises.

I'm giving this two stars because Matt was a relatively pleasant person until the end. I have no idea how competent he is as a lawyer because I have not died yet. My kids will let you know. However, the office help is abominably rude and completely incompetent. I waited weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks to hear about the first documents that were supposed to be signed. After waiting in an inordinate period, I emailed asking what was going on -- and I was rebuked for not having reached out sooner. Evidently it was supposed to be my job to do so. I took it meekly, and some months later I discovered that I needed some more changes made. Once again I waited over a week and didn't hear anything so I decided rather than waiting two months, like last time, I would simply email the clerk I had been directed to multiple times in past circumstances. I immediately got back a very nasty email in which she starts out by declaring "I'm not your lawyer and I'm not your paralegal!" Why she felt the need to say that in response to the simple query "do you know whether my paperwork is ready for signing?" is beyond my imagination. The rudeness was both palpable and wholly inexcusable -- so I responded somewhat in kind, I think understandably. After all I'm the customer. How dare she?. Next thing I know her boss is rebuking *me* instead of *her.* If I were you, I would avoid this place like the plague. There's got to be a half-million lawyers in town that know how to write up these documents . The last estate planning law firm I used was downtown, in a beautiful high-ceilinged, elegant building with gorgeous furnishings, everybody dressed to the nines, Spode tea cups and silver tea service – the works. Well I don't have to be wined and dined to that extent, but it certainly breeds confidence. This office was notable for its blue jeans, piercings, and rude clerks. It's up to you what you're looking for. I wouldn't go back. I'm the client; I'm the one spending the money; I deserve to be treated with respect. That is clearly not their philosophy.

Estate planning is a must and the Law Office of Kevin R. Hancock are the law office to do just that. My experience with them was made easy, and I now have piece of mind that my property will be distributed to love ones when the time comes.

Matt Collett was of course professional, but more importantly, kind and patient, as he walked us through and helped us understand wills, powers of attorney, and trusts.
