I write this with a heart full of admiration and gratitude for my family’s attorney Theresea F. We stayed with her through her transition from her previous law firm to Burnham. She has been a part of our family for almost 3 years, and will continue to be a part of our family. She took care of my multiple cases with such grace and class, kept my head on my shoulders during some trying times, and I always felt emotionally invested in our situation by her. She genuinely cares for who she represents and it reflects in her work. I hope this law firm knows what an incredible asset they acquired when they hired her. I cannot find the words to thank her enough. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you protected my babies.

I'm updating this review to include that after I did not oblige their office by taking down my review, they actually sent me a card apologizing for their mistake and included a $100 visa gift card. Unbelievable. They did bill me incorrectly. I did pay the bill I didn't believe I owed because they threatened to send me to collections. And the $100 gift card is a slap in the face. They are completely unethical in trying to bribe me to remove my review. _______________________________________________________________ I had a great experience with JP Prentiss who was on their staff in 2019. My bad review comes as a result of billing issues. After almost two years of divorce attorneys & no final orders, I was out of money and had to finish my case pro-se, which is not ideal. I stopped retaining their firm in November 2019. In April 2020, after financial blows in the final orders and in the midst of figuring out how to handle the impact of COVID on my business, I did receive an email about a balance. I was worried about life! I didn't even remember the email. I certainly never received anything in the mail or a phone call at that time. Over two years later they started aggressive collections efforts and told me I needed to pay the balance, which was different than the balance reported in the email from spring 2020. I paid the balance so I didn't have an impact to my credit, and then today, almost 3 months later, get another aggressive email with their collections attorney copied threatening to send me to collections. I experienced questionable billing throughout my divorce. While I was happy with my attorneys ability to do this work, this firm is not good at billing and is certainly disorganized. I don't think my last bill should have existed and I find it hard to believe that it popped up again after 2 years, and then I paid it and you still haven't cleaned up your system and are still being aggressive & threatening. I would never recommend this firm because I do not trust their billing department. I truly believe I paid a balance that wasn't owed. They would have sent me to collections for an invoice that shouldn't have existed.

I’m very thankful that Anthony was my divorce attorney. I was in a very long-term marriage and had no idea regarding the process of divorce. Anthony made everything flow smoothly and as simply as he could. He filed the right paperwork at the right time and was very diligent about always contacting me back within 24 hours. He knows how to strategize and legally manipulate dates, times, motions etc. in favor of his clients. He’s an encourager and man of his word. He made this very scary situation bearable. Anthony constantly considered what was in mine and my children’s best interest.

Leslie Shafer and her team were attentive, direct, knowledgeable, and it was very clear that she knows her way in and out of the courtroom. She was professional, kind, listened intently, asked the right questions, and was able to address the situations appropriately while providing the best legal care.

10/10 Highly Recommend, Kim at Burnham was overly helpful in every situation and answers every question you need also. Everything gets done in a timely matter.
