GEM is AMAZING and they have gotten me thorough the most difficult time of my life. I love them all and Ms. Moodie is a true gem herself! She has been supportive and professional through the entire process. I can’t thank her and the GEM team enough!

The following reviews prior to this one, communicate facts about this firm. Ms. Moodie and her firm overbilled and was negligent in handling a seemingly simple task. They did not file documents as they were paid to do, which is paramount in any case. The issues they caused by this act alone, is malpractice. I would highly recommend anyone with an issue with this firm to contact the Attorney Regulation office, especially on the billing issues, not providing documents, not returning calls and certainly withdrawing without your knowledge. Audit your bills. Further, I would recommend a malpractice attorney and hold them accountable for their egregious behavior. Don't get sucked into their billing tactics and their over zealous niceness at first, they only want to bill you and not fulfill their contractual duty.

this law firm should not be practicing LAW they did more harm than good. lucky I got some parent time, my x-wife got most of the profit from my business. Gem missed out on over $100,000 asset I owned before I married they act like it's not big deal. this LAW firm is a JOKE they don't care Erika is a cold person, don't care, SHE don't know what she is doing! they charge WAY TO MUCH FOR NOTHING. If you are looking a lousy over charging attorney you want lose this is the place for you. WHAT A JOKE RUN!

DONT USE THIS FIRM! They are complete crooks. They will drop you as a client days before trial, won’t communicate anything with you, then bill you for work they didn’t do.

AVOID THIS FIRM! These guys are complete crooks! They will bill you then 3 days before trial drop you so you're billed but nothing benefited you. They lie on invoices and change the same invoice whenever they want. Do not trust them!

Gem Family Law was more than disappointing. There inability to communicate, follow ethical billing practices and overall do their job to represent my husband was sinful. They did not have the back of their client. They had alternative motives...take as much as we can and leave him hanging. WOW. I would NEVER refer nor recommend Gem Family Law for anyone going through any legal matter.

They use the legal system to abduct children from parents . They not only lie blatantly in sworn filings about parents they are abducting children from, but even about the children they’re abducting! Pure evil.

Heather and Bri really stepped up for me last minute when I didn't have an attorney and helped me stay a Father when I was willing to just sign it all away to make my ex happy cause I thought that was best. They helped me stay a Dad. Divorce is not like TV, it gets bad, but Heather and Bri are a business, and that means they were there to make sure I didn't get the short end of the stick.

I have more than 40,000 dollars in a divorce that is not yet over. I have the collection invoices, they never sent the final custody information, they simply withdrew from my case and charged me even for retiring. They just don't care, but they do care to charge for each bill for a job they didn't finish. I understood late the previous comments that they only care about your money. Alert!!!

Ben Hartford was the best decision I could have made. He was knowledgeable, timely in responding, empathetic, fair, available, and an amazing all around attorney. He made me feel like I was his most important client, and never dismissed my concerns. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! I hired Mary Walsh, originally she was with a different firm and moved to Gem fam law in the middle of my custody case, 1st red flag! I was only a client for a little more than 6 months and accumulated over $10,000 in debt. They were charging me more a month then I could even afford to pay. And that’s only from their correspondence with the courts and my ex-wife’s lawyer. Or as Mary calls it,”the litigation process”. All in all they produced zero results and withdrew from my case just before my court date. If you want a firm that’s just gonna take your money and leave you high and dry, you found one! Very disappointing when your kids future is on the line, they flat out don’t care about anything except getting paid! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND SAVE YOURSELF THE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!
