Friendly and effective service!

I unfortunately received a DUI in Jefferson County in January 2017. I was scared and I was devastated to say the least. I initially hired a different attorney, whom come to find out, was not experienced in DUI cases. I was very fortunate and blessed to meet Michael Martin and his paralegal , Hannah. Their kind understanding and compassion were amazing! At our first meeting I immediately felt like I was in good hands and that I was going to come through this experience with support and a very knowledgeable team! Mr. Martin and Hannah are exceptional. Mr. Martin is very experienced in handling DUI cases and has handled my case with professionalism, excellent advice, a listening ear and an extremely caring manner! Because of this, the end result of my case came out much better than I anticipated! We were referred to Jeff's law firm and were so happy with his services. We were looking to update our estate planning/trust information. Jeff was very helpful, gave us great advice on how they should be set up, and also our medical information forms so that our last wishes were to be handled according to our requests. Mr. Martin assisted me with a tenant/landlord issue. We moved into an apartment with a terrible cockroach infestation that was not disclosed to us by the company when the lease was signed. We discovered the problem shortly after, however. After being displaced for over a month waiting for them to do something, they moved to evict us for nonpayment of the apartment we had not been able to live in. Mr. Martin was professional, informed and very firm with the leasing company, assuring them that if they did pursue action against our family that there would be counter claims filed on our behalf by him. Through his negotiations and persistence, the company rescinded their absurd fees and we were able to move forward from the incident. We are so thankful for Mr. Martin’s services and would recommend him to anyone and everyone in need of a strong, compassionate, and intelligent advocate for their legal needs.

Jeff Althaus recently helped me with my estate planning. When my parents passed I realized how important it is to have some planning in place. Thanks to my mom's and dad's foresight and preparation, they made a very difficult time easier to manage. I wanted to do the same thing for my kids, for when that time comes. Jeff was great! He explained the whole legal process in easy to understand language. He went over all the needed documents and answered all of my questions thoroughly. When my daughters came to his office to do the document review and educate them about everything Jeff to as much time as we needed to answer all of our questions.
