I found the security regulations confusing. I hired Tully Rinckey to get me in the best position for the sf86 filing and background investigation. TR assigned Dan Meyer to the case. As a former security manager and intelligence officer, Dan was an immense help. I am all set. Thanks TR ! Thanks Dan!

After receiving a letter of interrogatory from my federal agency questioning my suitability for my work/contract and my clearance I immediately looked to hire counsel as I knew a letter from me would simply not be enough. After consulting with TR I was assigned to Mr. Meyer out of the DC partner office. Simply put, his experience saved me, my job, and suitability for government work. After things that were in question from 8 years in the past Mr. Meyer got to work constructing my response to the LOI. After doing what was asked of me, Mr. Meyer submitted a 40 page response to my agency outlining and mitigating all of their concerns. I am very much indebted to Mr. Meyer for his help and expertise in this matter. I am still gainfully employed and retained my clearance thanks to the help of Mr. Meyer, I would recommend him to anyone going through something similar.

I was new to government contracting and I was challenged with a employment suitability review at work. I got the distinct impression that sending in wrong or bad answers could not only screw up this opportunity, but subsequent opportunities down the line.
I did a Tully Rinckey consultation, decided to retain, and I was assigned to Dan Meyer, the national security partner in the Washington D.C. Office. Dan returned to the practice of law after many years serving as a Federal executive and intelligence officer. He put together the strategy, what evidence we needed, and the legal brief to support my Declaration. The entire process was quick and very easy from my perspective. I am now deemed ‘suitable’ and case is closed ! Thanks TR, thanks Dan!

“Guideline F, Financial Considerations, presented me with a security clearance challenge with my employer, based on personal finance issues related to COVID. After searching Google, I did a consult with Tully Rinckey. TR assigned my file to the National Security Partner in the DC Office, Dan Meyer. As a gay professional, Dan understood the complexity of my situation, what was important and what was not, and we put my case together. My partner and I had to present a data-driven response to a Statement of Reasons, and explain the challenges we faced with supporting documents and detail. Everything has been reviewed with my Security Office and successfully adjudicated. Dan and TR’s commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and how to aid the LGBTQ+ community as it interacts with Security is second to none. Great job TR ! Thanks, Dan !”

I was a whistleblower who disclosed violations of federal law. The Agency aggressively went after me and I really need someone on my side. I researched all the DC Law firms, and thought Tully Rinckey looked the best. I did a consult and retained the Firm. They assigned Lachlan McKinion and Dan Meyer to my case. It was a long process, but Lachlan and Dan kept our little team focus on taking down the Goliath. And I won ! The MSPB Judge found for me. Thanks Lachlan ! Thanks Dan ! And thanks TR !

I was facing a Guideline E, K, & M Statement of Reasons that threatened my 10+ year military career. After consulting with multiple firms, Tulley Rinkey gave me the most confidence so I retained them. Dan Meyer in the Washington DC Office was assigned. Dan provided counsel and a sound strategy on how to mitigate the governements concerns using government policy and past clearance cases. Mr. Meyer's experience as a former Security officer, and a veteran of the Intelligence Community Inspector General’s office proved invaluable. We put together a strong written reply and we did not even have to go to a full hearing at the Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals. We won at the first level of review. Thanks TR! Thanks Dan!

I was under Background Investigation. I did a consult with Tully Rinckey and they connected me with Dan Meyer, the national security partner in Washington, D.C. Dan worked from his experiences as a security manager in the Middle East, Federal executive, and intelligence officer, to prepare me. He identified the security concerns, and we went to work on the sf86, making the best case for no adjudication. Got the word about eight months later, I am done, and through the Background Investigation. All set. We had the strategy right. I am very excited. Great job TR ! Thanks, Dan !”

Most importantly, I would hire Sheraz again without hesitation. He is an outstanding attorney and representative. Sheraz is personable, understanding, and collegial. Most importantly, he listens to client concerns, addressed them, and keeps the case focused on the legal matters at hand: which is critical when proceedings get emotional, petty, irrational, dramatic. I relied on him for divorce services and he was very professional, kept me fully apprised, and was fiscally responsible. Sheraz provided outstanding legal advice, and services, and navigated a complex situation to get me an equitable divorce agreement that I was happy with.
When things got irrational or nonsensical, Sheraz kept our efforts focused on being responsive to the court, and provided explanation and reassurance, that all the noise, while a reality, was not relevant to the court or our efforts. This was critical in enabling me to understand what mattered and what did not (the drama), and that made it much more easy for me (to not worry). He advised me on the realities of my situation, including what was in my favor, what was expected of me, my rights as a spouse, and generally what I could expect from the court. This was extremely helpful because it disabused me of any preconceived notions and enabled me to refocus my energy on what was possible. I did not always like the legal realities Sheraz explained, but accepted them, which enabled me to have realistic expectations and to focus on an equitable divorce agreement. Again, Sheraz is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and effective. I am very appreciative of his services, and would hire him again without hesitation.

In chatting with my attorney, Dan Meyer, I realized my Statement of Reasons did not fall in the most common categories of security concerns. My job offer with a major Federal agency was on the line, due to Guideline E, Personal Conduct and Guideline M, Misuse of Information Systems issues. Dan laid out a strategy; he doesn’t believe in little pokes and stokes of the security process; our mitigation packet was thorough, complete, and huge. Did the trick, and now at work with the agency of my choice. Thanks TR ! Thanks Dan !

I was under security investigation, and was feeling pretty pressured. I found my way to Tully Rinckey’s website and the consult process. They assigned my case to national security partner, and former Intelligence Community IG staff member, Dan Meyer in the Washington, DC Office. Dan has supervised security offices in his career as a Federal senior official. He put everything in context; he taught me respect for the polygraph process and gave me guidance on the investigation. Everything closed out, and I am good to go. Thanks Dan; thanks TR!

Dan helped me to successfully overturn an agency finding that I was not eligible for contractor fitness as part of my first time, TS clearance application to a federal agency (non-IC, non-DOD).
I was delighted that my case was assigned to Dan. He was knowledgable, prompt in responding, and provided confidence during the stressful process. He structured an impressive written response package on my behalf, including declarations and evidence from myself (on which he advised me) and an extensive legal brief including relevant case history.
As a result, my request for reconsideration was successful and I received my clearance within 6 weeks of submitting it.
The concerns that Dan helped me to mitigate were under guideline B; I am an overseas-born, dual national with foreign family, financial (not extensive/not business) and military service history. The other country is a very close U.S. ally.
