Ask opinion and Howard was the 1st one who responded with such a words. You just could feel it if the person is real or not. Decided to call him, spoke to him and he calmed me down saying everything should be fine. He would taking care of it well. He spoke by heart!!! That’s the most important. Bottom line, the case dismissed as he promised earlier. It just took me total of 20 minutes in court the I was heading home. Very recommended! You won’t be dissapointed.

Interestingly enough I met atty Daniel Grey on an off chance. He was at mediation that I was not a party to, and I was in the building for other reasons. As we crossed paths and began speaking he gave me his business card and said something to the effect of “you never know when you may need my services”. As I walked away I thought ‘how did he know’. Long story short within 6months I needed his services. That was about 13 years ago. He not only was a great attorney but he advocated for all sides which is not like many family law attorneys. He helped me see things from my child’s perspective and my spouse at the time. In doing so it made the divorcing with children much more smoother for all parties involved. Over the years I have referred over a dozen of friends & colleagues to him during their time of need and he has always shown great detail and concern to them in the same manner he showed to me. I am only writing this review now because I recently referred someone to him. Though he could not represent the guy due to the county he lived in he still took the time to call him after work hours and be a calming voice and help him him understand the process, ease his mind and refer him to two other lawyers that specialized in that county. I am blown away by this. No charge and he gained nothing other than respect and this review. So many other lawyers won’t even talk to paying clients during the day and a night call is not a thing. So for Daniel to do this was going beyond the pale. I am so thankful for our chance encounter all of those years ago and all the help he has provided to me and to all that have been referred. If you want a lawyer who shoots straight and treats each client even opposing counsel as family & friend to work on a fair settlement he is your guy. This is not about money for him, he truly cares. I contacted Ms Garza to handle a change in custody for one of my two sons, who both lived with their mom after I moved out of the immediate area after said son had issues with his mom's husband. I thought I had a horrible uphill battle ahead of me, until she represented me. Lisa broke it down for me what we could do, and I could tell right away I made the right decision. Her name alone let's the other side know you didn't come to screw around. She is dynamite, aggressive yet personable to her clients, and her associate and office staff are first class. I never had to worry about a phone call or question not being answered or returned. She gave me great guidance, and made suggestions that suited my son and me for now and in the future. She is no non-sense with her approach, and it seems most opposing attorney's are more than willing to work with her toward a mutual solution, but never did she compromise what mattered most to me. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone about to take the monster of divorce on, especially with children involved. I was made to feel like she had no other clients in the world, that I was the only one. I was so grateful I had the opportunity to retain Ms. Garza, and you will be too. She is fantastic to negotiate outside the court room, but if it comes to needing an in court force to be reckoned with, it's Ms. Garza.

I have unfortunately been in family court too many times, but Wendy Wood is by far the best, most prepared, smart board certified family lawyer I have ever experienced, and one whom I can say earned EVERY dollar. If you want the best you are going to pay for it. In Wendy's case it is completely worth it. I was referered to Ms.Rowland by a another attorney who felt that she was a better fit for my case. My case started out as a CPS case with a protection order later added. Ms.Rowland on our 1st court date won and my custody order remained unchanged. Then instead of having to attend court the next day over a protective order she was able to get that withdrew and held mediation instead which resulted only in minimal changes. Ms.Rowland was always very upfront with me and always gave me the choices of very best outcome or the worst outcome. She was always a phone call away no matter the day or time. As a mother also she would sit and let me cry and just listen she truly understands and is truly all in with her clients. Her fees are reasonable and she explains that fully in your consultation. I got married in July 2013. Soon after, my husband and I we were looking for a good lawyer to represent us for our immigration case since I came to this country with a C1 visa many years ago and I overstayed. Many years had to past for me to finally start fixing my immigration status: marriage equality was finally legal across the United States and the Obama administration installed a mandate to pardon immigrants in the U.S territory instead of going back to their countries to wait for a pardon.
I remember very clearly our first appointment with Ms. Cano, and I remember mostly because she was very friendly, the staff was very friendly, and she exposed to me what steps I must follow to get my papers in order, and get my resident card. She was very clear, very organized, and she speaks fluent Spanish and English.
First, we started the family petition. Once that was confirmed, we follow with the “extreme hardship” waiver, and finally with the interview that was going to be made in my country. After long months of hard work from both parties, we got the waiver approved and soon after we had the date for the interview. Now looking back it seems very simple, and it kind of is because the professionalism of Ms. Cano’s office made everything run very smoothly. They would call me every time I needed to bring something to the office or if they send me some documents to my residence. They would email me or be in contact all the time through the entire case. They would also give me copies of all documentation; hard copy, electronic copies, etc. In short, they were on top of my case throughout my immigration case.
When I finally got my residence, we convened again 2 years after that to start the process for my permanent resident. Thanks to the amount of evidence Ms. Cano ask me for and the efficiency of her office, I can finally say I am a permanent resident of the United States. I can say, very confidently, that I recommend 100% Ms. Cano’s services for any immigration issues you may have. Every case is different and for some is long and tedious, but you can have the certainty that they are working for you in a professional manner.

Can I tell Seth gave me my life back after being severely abused and surviving and getting to a safe space. Luckily I had never had the need for a lawyer before in my life, so I was skeptical in how to select one. Of course, google shows you a million results, and then ads in your apps after you search, but after calling different lawyers and dealing with their unavailability; I dialed to the Law Office of Scott S. Ives, I expressed how urgent my matter was, he dropped what he was doing and immediately started helping me out on my case! He has proven to be reliable, knowledgeable, empathic, and well known in the local area. The other party had the "big" firm, with all the names and partners, and the more expensive bill, but Mr. Ives proved to be triumphant in the end; if you hire the other guys, you will rarely speak to your lawyer, you will end up talking to the receptionist, the paralegal, and rarely your lawyer. That doesn't work for me, I want to talk to the man that is going to be standing next to me when we enter the ring and that is what you will get here, with Mr. Ives! The big firm lawyer was so excluded from the details of the case, that that she would make mistakes that anyone else who is aware of your case would never make. All thanks to Mr. Pete Schulte! Never having been in a predicament with the law, I was incredibly sacred and nervous when I walked into Mr. Schulte's office for my initial meeting. Before I met Ben, I had a horrible experience with a lawyer/firm who I thought had excellent credentials. I did my homework by researching its beautiful website, nice office with coffee in Long Island, NY, etc., but to my surprise they were the worst service I have ever experienced (and I am in Sales/ Customer Service).
They never picked up the phone, never replied to my emails and when I had someone one on the phone, I had to go over my case again and again. They overcharged me without having any court hearings and no advancements for almost 1 year in my divorce case, the second lawyer from the firm was worse than the first one.
As a result, I decided to drop this firm and did not want them to represent me any longer.
At the time my ex was harassing me, the courts were an unknown process for me, and the judges were unpleasant to deal with. It was a very stressful time.
I found Ben through a friend’s reference, she said he ended complicated cases successfully.
My ex was making everything expensive by stalling the process in any way he could, he had the money to play with because he was not paying child support.
In a one-hour meeting with Ben, he did more than the other firm did in the one year they had represented me:
• He quickly understood my case;
• All assets involved
• Custody of my daughter
• Child support
• He was realistic, not raising my expectations that we could end the divorce too quickly.
Finally, Ben had a strategy that gave me a couple of options to deal with my ex’s unpredictable behavior.

First let me say...do not go into a divorce without your own attorney!!! I almost waited too long to hire Dawn. While on the phone, she pulled the information on the courthouse records she told me to get in as soon as I could that afternoon. It wasn't what was stated in the paperwork it was the ambiguous terms that were used.
Dawn is direct, aggressive, very busy which sometimes makes her hard to reach and a darn good negotiator. She knows her stuff. Don't go see her if you want a shrink...go to her if you want to be well represented. Make sure your expectations are realistic and you will do well.
The "friendly" divorce paperwork was full of open ended statements that would have cost me more than my legally fair share. With that being said she warned me right from the beginning that we are now negotiating a business transaction not a friendly settlement. You can go back to friendly after the divorce is final.
You have to take care of your interests and Dawn will do that for you in legalese if you let her. Sometimes you wonder where she is going in her logic... but just sit back, watch and listen...she knows what she is doing. I think if I had been as aggressive as she suggested I may have done better...but I couldn't let go of the relationship. Remember if you are enlisting the help of an attorney (Dawn)...your relationship is over...so let her get down to business.
She is very good in mediation. She understands how to effectively work through the process. She should since she offers mediation services in her practice.
I think the most impressive thing and the sign of a well respected attorney is when we went to the courthouse (unfortunately we had to go), she was known by many of the court employees, officials and other attorneys that were waiting for their time slot.
If you are reading this I am sorry you are having to go through it...but I think Dawn is a good choice. By the way she was recommended to me by another satisfied client.
