He's very thorough, he knows the law and when you walk into court with him as your attorney, he has a lot of respect within the court system. He is also blessed with a wonderful office crew. I'm not the type of person to write reviews as I consider myself pretty low key. However, when it comes to Lauren I knew I had to let the world know about her because that is the very least I can do to show my gratitude for everything she has done for me.
Prior to meeting/hiring Lauren, I was going through one of the most painful chapters in my life. My ex fled with my child, lodged multiple false accusations against my family and me, and completely limited my access with my child. After what felt like a lifetime of non-stop accusations, I found Lauren and she really came to the rescue.
In the first 3 months alone she was able to do more for me than all my 3 prior attorneys did in one year. Lauren was always available, always empathetic and always ready to answer any questions or concerns I had. I went from being deprived months without seeing my child at all to now sharing custody as close to equal that far exceeded my expectations.
What I appreciate about Lauren is that she's extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. She keeps a cool head and is always present. She doesn't take this as just a job but really invests her time to know her client and she makes a genuine and conscious effort to do the right thing and make a material difference in someone's life as she did with mine.
Fast forward 2 years later, my entire case is coming closer to an end and I have more optimism than I ever thought imaginable. I no longer wake up every morning fearing the worst. I have my son. I cannot say enough about Ms. Suarez. My wife and I were looking for someone to help with the sale of our house that would be professional and not take us for fools. I say this because from my experience with other real estate attorneys there are always “hidden fees” not mentioning names but when we purchased the house we went with an attorney who gave us a “good price”. At the closing table we were paying for extra copies/document fess etc we felt like we were dealing with a car salesman and not a professional. We will be working on our estate planning and the closing of our new house with Ms. Suarez no need to look any further. Professionalism at its best.

I hired Kristine a little over two years ago after firing an attorney who had actively made a complete disaster out of my case. Kristine instantly got to work on cleaning up the mess I was left with……and to date, she is still working as ferociously as she began. I cannot say enough good things about Kristine but will attempt to do so here.
Communication – Kristine is SO on top of communication, and not just with me, but with anything that comes her way about my case. She is constantly checking the court docket and has even relayed information about other cases that I have been dragged into before I even knew it. She copies me on all correspondence about my case to GALS, attorney’s, mediators, and even court administrators. I am never left in the dark about my case with Kristine. There are no surprises when I head to a hearing or trial. She makes no decisions without my input. Any meeting that occurred in chambers or on conference calls, she will immediately relay all that was discussed while I was not present. There have been times during after-hours or on weekends and even holidays where I have needed Kristine, and she has never turned me away.
Motions – Kristine is a wordsmith. She writes excellent motions and has a knack for cleverly delivering just what I need conveyed. She never submits or files anything without my approval. Even if it drives her nuts (which she never lets on to)…..she allows me change the motions until I am fully satisfied. She never gives me grief about it, even if I want to edit it five times. She is patient and truly understands that this is my life, and these things are important to me.
Conduct in trails or at hearings – Kristine is fantastic on her feet. I recently had a VERY important hearing that was granted by the skin of our teeth. At the end of the hearing the Judge asked Kristine and the opposing attorney if they would like to close with a statement. Kristine had nothing written. She spoke completely from her heart and head about my case. Her knowledge of the case was so clear that everything she was saying came out natural and genuine. She knocked it out of the park for me at that hearing, and I am sure that her closing words helped to solidify the favorable outcome that I received after that hearing.
Knowledge of your case – I am continuously impressed with Kristine’s innate ability to retain information about my case. This is such a rare quality in an attorney. Most attorney’s treat you like you are just one of hundreds of clients and they can’t recall anything about your case without referencing an email or note. Not Kristine, she has it all right in her head and at times she has even reminded ME of things about my case that I had forgotten. It’s incredibly helpful to have an attorney who absorbs information about your case, especially when it comes to cross examining witnesses!
Going to bat – She is no doubt a feisty Italian from Boston, need I say more? In my case, my ex is a terror. It feels good to have Kristine observe that and truly understand the crux of who is the cause of most of our issues, and therefore is not afraid to stand up for me, or “go to combat” with my ex on the stand when he is being pompous and impossible.
General care – I went through one of the toughest years of my life. It is not an exaggeration when I say that I could not have made it through without Kristine. She did everything in her power for me when I was at my lowest points in this case. She has gotten to know my family. She believes in me; she believes in my case. Even when I had just had my baby and an important court date was coming up, she came to my home for a meeting, so I didn’t have to find childcare and leave my newborn. She has genuine empathy when things are bad and is right there to rejoice with you when things are good. Kristine is not just my attorney; she has become my friend.
Just hire her. I promise you will not be disappointed in her abilities to fight for you.

Brian represented me many years ago in a high conflict custody case. I went through my share of lawyers and was almost always disappointed. I got to a point I didnt know whom to trust. I have used Mr. Herders services previously to file a bankruptcy and my case was handled professionally. Recently I had to contact them for some information on my old case and he was very helpful and provided the information I needed quickly. Mark Herder filed my bankruptcy case and made a bad situation turn into a positive one. He and his staff took care of all the money troubles that I had from bad decisions from a bad divorce. I really felt like he was in my corner, and he even called me back tonight, after work, on a weekend. I am sure that he had plenty of other things to do during this pandemic as well. Mr. Gottfried handled my case for three years now. My son’s mom filed to reduce my time, which we had 50/50 for the last seven years before she filed. Meeting with Mr. Gottfried for the first time I knew he was my guy.
He is very prompt in returning calls and e-mails and I can say this promptness has not dropped the slightest over the last three years (even on his days off). He made sure when the trial date finally came that we had everything lined up to negate everything she filed plus things that could come up in trial so we were ready to present them to fight. He makes sure you are prepared for any questions and have evidence to back you up.
We have gone through a magistrate appeal and now seven more months later it is looking like she will appeal the judge’s decision. Not only did Mr Gottfried have a rebuttal for all of her bogus claims, we actually asked for an additional over night to which it was granted.
When this is dragged out over three years so far, there are times to which you question yourself. Mr Gottfried would reassure me and talk me down from those times. He is honest with you, some attorneys are there to collect a check, but not him. He gave me his opinion when I asked, based off his career in these cases, but also said it’s up to you Brad.
I cannot say enough about him or give him the praise he deserves. I have referred friends to him because he is the best…period!
If you are in need of an attorney for custody cases, call him. You will not be disappointed, trust me.

I had an odd situation where I ended up with visitation/ custody issues with my ex who ended up being a sex offender. April is my attorney, and we recently closed a filing process in my divorce (originally finalized in 2013; reopened for modifications).
She is an outlier in a sea of “yeah I can get that for you…now give me your retainer fee” attorneys.
She doesn’t make flippant promises about results, which is so refreshing. My daughter’s best interests were, and continue to be, at the top of April’s concern. She cares about her clients, doesn’t put up with underhanded antics, and fights for the RIGHT thing. I can’t emphasize that enough.
Even if it’s not exactly what I had in mind, April put so much in proper perspective for me, and supported me mentally as I navigated different emotions.
Couldn’t recommend her more, and would choose her every time.

Greg was better than I could have imagined. My case came up just a few days before I was supposed to leave the country and he handled it perfectly. He talked with the judges and prosecutors to move my court dates earlier so I was able to travel, explain my situation and worked out a solution that allowed me to continue my plans as if nothing happened. Even while out of country he has been in contact with me for resolutions on all matters. Everything in my power will make sure I never need a lawyer again, but if so, or if someone I know needs a recommendation, I will not hesitate to give them Greg’s contact. I hired Gregory Hoffman to represent me in a civil case against an ex-partner of mine in December of 2020.
I will start off by saying that every case is different, and therefore, every outcome is different. Below is an account of my unique case and experience with Gregory Hoffman.
My case was kind of a two-parter and because of this, Mr. Hoffman and I had to appear in court a couple of times. Both times, Mr. Hoffman was incredible enough to travel over an hour from Rhode Island to Massachusetts where my case was being heard, and both times he wasn’t just punctual; he was early. I’ve heard horror stories of people waiting for their lawyers to show up for hours, and I’ve even heard some where the lawyer doesn’t show at all. Rest assured, Gregory Hoffman will show and he will be there on time, if not early.
Mr. Hoffman, himself, was quite professional. In court he was well dressed, articulate, calm, confident, and when it came to knowing the “rules of the game”, as they pertained to Massachusetts law, he was very well versed. He made sure that in the weeks leading up to the court date he and I were both thoroughly equipped with all the documentation we needed to aid us in emerging victorious.
What really speaks to the professionalism of any lawyer, though, is what hopes and dreams they try and sell you about your case. Please be aware that any good lawyer, will not attempt to sell you a single one. A good lawyer will not give you any false hope, nor make any promises nor guarantees as to the outcome of your case, and Gregory Hoffman was up front about this with me right from the start. He also didn’t compare my case with any other, either. He treated my case as its own unique entity and that’s exactly what I was looking for in representation.
Mr. Hoffman was also very compassionate and understanding when it came to me and the details of my case. Again, I’ve heard horror stories where lawyers will not walk through things with their clients because they don’t care, don’t have the time, or both. Once again, rest assured that Gregory Hoffman has a heart and actually cares about his clients. He was always readily available to answer any and all questions I had, he explained things clearly so that I understood, and he even made time after the second hearing to talk to me and give his opinion on my then situation, which I appreciated and valued very much.
The Court’s decision after the second hearing did, indeed, result in victory for us. Again, this review is not to guarantee a win should you hire Gregory Hoffman, but my opinion based on my personal experience is; if you do hire Mr. Hoffman, your chances of coming out on top and satisfied with your outcome are pretty high. ;)

I am a retired attorney myself, now seeking an attorney to help with a defective mesh implant I had years ago. I called between 10 and 20 firms claiming to be “experts” in hernia mesh claims. I received a return call from every single firm EXCEPT DAVID’s from someone at a call center screening for valid mesh cases who followed an apparent script they had been given. The screeners had no apparent legal or medical experience and they certainly weren’t attorneys. They did not understand any medical procedures, especially if not listed on their script so I found myself explaining medical processes to them. In fact, because my situation is somewhat unusual and I couldn’t honestly say “yes” in response to one of the screener questions but rather need to explain my answer to someone who understood the medical and legal processes, I was told by several screeners (with no legal or medical training or experience) that I did not have a claim and their lawyer “couldn’t help me.” The majority of the firms did in fact accept my claim and agreed to represent me after a several day process of lawyer review, but David LISTENED TO ME on my initial call, understood exactly what my medical situation was and took it upon himself to represent me in conjunction with another attorney he asked to contact me directly.
David is extremely knowledgeable and he listens and he helps clients. From now on, I will always call David first and not waste hours and hours talking to screeners and non-legal, non-medical call center employees.
