I am so thankful that I chose Jillian to represent me in my custody case. From consultation, to solidifying a final order by trial Jillian was a strong advocate for my desires and kept the interest of my children at the forefront. Jillian and her firm was very responsive to all my correspondence and operated at a level of excellence that I have grown to expect as a veteran and military professional. She is not afraid to address stereotypes, biases, and put together a plan that challenged them all. Furthermore, she understands the importance of fathers, African American fathers to their children, and was not scared to have the difficult conversation in court with children of both African American and Caucasian parents. My voice was heard and it was 100% clear that she would fight for my desires, but she always gave thoughtful recommendations to me as her client. Jillan promised she would advocate for me in the best way possible and build the strongest case she could and she delivered on her word. As someone that lives out of state, she ensured she kept me up to date, informed, and did extensive trial prep with me. Furthermore she helped me draft negotiations, settlements, and ultimately got me 99% of everything I asked for. She helped me to achieve joint legal custody of both of my children, primary physical custody of my oldest son, a meeting time and place that is equidistant from both parents home, an every other weekend schedule with my other son, an agreeable holiday schedule, and extensive summer schedule, along with a agreement that will foster a positive co parenting relationship.
Jillian also assisted me with my divorce proceeding that eventually moved to the state of Virginia but she co counseled with my VA attorney and helped with come up with an agreeable divorce decree and child support agreement.

My ex boyfriend who had lived with me for 10 years wanted half of everything I had after he had already agreed on and cashed the $20,000 cashier check that I had given him for half of the home improvements he helped with. Attorney Greg Jerabek won the case in less than a year and I did not have to pay my ex boyfriend any more money. Attorney Jerabek was easy to talk to, he was so supportive, explained everything. I could tell he has had a lot of experience and knew what he was talking about. I was able to email him and he emailed back right away. He has a great sense of humor. I was able to trust him. 18 months after my divorce was settled, I was laid off. When I found work again, I took a significant pay cut, making it impossible to pay my original maintenance amount. Then my ex petitioned to relocate cross-country with our kids, while demanding I continue to pay well more than I could now afford. I consulted multiple lawyers, expressing my desire to oppose the relocation and request a decrease in support payment. Several said no immediately, one felt it would be an “easy win,” and one charged a fee just to meet with their “intake specialist.” In contrast, Scott was patient, empathetic, and balanced. He gave me a very candid and practical assessment of my situation, and his opinion on my chances to win.
After we mutually agreed to go forward, he was responsive, made himself available even when my schedule wasn’t convenient, and was very collaborative. When mediation failed, he demonstrated his intellect and deep knowledge of the law in court. My ex’s lawyer focused his efforts on attacking my character. We could have done the same, but Scott insisted we take the high-road instead. That, combined with the case law he cited, his handling of witnesses (mine and hers), and his sincere and respectful demeanor led the court to side in my favor on each motion, as well as their subsequent motions for reconsideration. I consider myself lucky to have found Scott. I hope I never have to go through this again, but if I do, it will be with him.

My ex-wife filed for divorce a year ago and her lawyer filed a restraining order against me immediately before a visit to see my son, despite the fact I did not reside in the state, and having no specific previous conflict that merited such an action. I had a free consultation with Scott who was very good at listening and sympathetic, and I decided to retain his services. He acted quickly to negotiate the withdrawal of the petition for a restraining order. Subsequently, a fair parenting plan was negotiated, which allowed me to see my son and contact him regularly while out of state, which was much better than the situation prior to my ex-wife filing for divorce, which depended on her whims. Child support was a concern, as my wife wanted an unreasonable amount of money, far beyond what I could afford. Scott was right in his interpretation of the facts and when he went to court the Commissioner favored his arguments, and the terms settled were fair. He was right on and did not waiver, which reflects his knowledge and many years of experience. Scott was always very aware of my concerns about costs, and he did initially give a very accurate prediction of final cost. In addition, he was always calm, polite, thoughtful, and empathetic with me, he built a rapport with my ex-wife's lawyer to negotiate, while being resolute in defending my interests. Getting divorced with Scott's representation was far less stressful than it might have been with another attorney.

I retained Scott Semrau as my attorney to help with me deal with a recent family law situation involving a false allegation of domestic violence restraining order against me which was later dismissed in court thanks to the excellent legal work of Scott Semrau. In addition to the dismissal of the false restraining order against me, Scott Semrau also helped me safeguard my legal rights to be a parent and not be alienated from my children by helping set up regular court ordered time with my children and a reasonable child support order.
Scott Semrau's legal strategies in court worked very well in all of my court proceedings and I can attest that we have won all of our court hearings and I have attained my my desired legal outcome.
One of the most important legal victory in court Scott Semrau has attained for me is the dismissal of a false restraining order against me which could have led me to lose my job and adversely affect my future employment.

I contacted Jack to ask for help with my Support Modification. After talking through the details and asks of the petition, Jack laid out the process in front of me to make sure I was prepared for all outcomes. The entire team quickly jumped on some immediate needs and scheduling to make sure I had the right support to put my best case in front of the judge. We had several hurdles to deal with as well as an impending trial date, but I felt like the entire team rallied around me to get me prepared. Josh and I worked together over several sessions to create a fair strategy and proactively address the key issues. In what was supposed to be my trial date, Josh quickly jumped on an issue that perhaps the judge had not reviewed key submissions and requested a continuance to make sure everything was considered. That instinct proved to be correct as the judge had not reviewed everything and while that pushed a decision out, it was the right move. I would use Jack, Josh and the entire Berner team in the future.

My family came to Jack's Law office with quite a burden on our shoulders and a lot of confusion on how best to move forward. After a few consultations we decided to move forward with his services and I can tell anyone that it is 100% the best move we could have made. These are two things you are looking for in a lawyer when you are going through emotionally and financially exhausting processes like divorce, dvpo, custody and other family law matters. Court systems are hard to navigate when you have enough to take care as a single parent and while you are adjusting to your new reality. Brian helps take this burden off of you. He is highly knowledgeable and knows how to navigate these issues and address them appropriately. He is mindful of your finances and does a great job representing you, which is all you can ask for and expect. He listens, unlike a lot of other lawyers out there, he takes your input and advises on what the law dictates and advises accordingly. He is not brash but rather the kindest lawyer I've worked with, and I have worked with for almost 4 years. Brian helped through a very tough divorce with custody at stake. Throughout the difficult process Brian was always upfront and honest about what he thought in terms of key decisions and what I wanted. If he did not think it was a sound path, he would say so and explain why.
Brian was always professional in dealing with myself, the court, and opposing counsel. In dealing with opposing counsel he was balanced in advocating for me within the law with a difficult spouse that caused many problems.

I went through a HORRIFIC 2+ year long high-conflict divorce from a narcissistic man who verbally and physically abused me in front of our young child. Yasmeen was my 3rd lawyer and I am thankful to God every day that I finally found her. I could tell right away that she is a person of the highest integrity and retains expert knowledge of the legal process. Beyond those stunning traits, emotionally, she was my rock as she guided me through the incredibly traumatic process of extricating myself from my toxic marriage and fighting for custody of my child. My ex and his low-vibrating energy monster of a lawyer did everything in their power to break me: Manipulation, lying, defamation, disregarding court orders, twisting the truth, and hiring "expert" witnesses to try to discredit and demonize me. Yasmeen remained optimistic and unshaken, having full confidence every time I spoke to her that we would win. She encouraged me not to give up, even though I wanted to so badly so many times as this process nearly broke me as a person. But, in the end, Yasmeen came through for me and my child, and we won at trial in a big way. I can't say that I'll ever feel fully vindicated after what my ex put me through, but at least my child has me as the primary parent with full decision making, safe and supported, which makes the whole thing worth it.

Yasmeen, Erin, Sara, Nadine and Robin are amazing. I’ve got the best result possible in my Hague convention case & custody! I’m very happy to have my child back to USA, the process was smooth throughout the whole case using Abdullah’s law firm, they were always on top of everything, very communicative, always there for any question/concern & very transparent. Mr benjamin helped me tremendously.
My cases was different, my son was born and his mother married. I had to prove he was mine and get custody of him.
Mr benjamin was fast,smart, and fierce in the courtroom. My sons mom didnt know what hit her. He proved that she lied was on drugs and was unfit to have my son.

I have hired Jason on multiple occasions to represent me over the past 8 years. My most recent case was supposed to be a simple child support modification filed with the state turned messy. I retained Mr. Benjamin to represent my children and I and get to the bottom of the discrepancies coming from the other party that the state did not seem to care about. Kim was my attorney during my divorce. I was glad to have done my research because, in hiring Kim, I picked an atty with a strong background in difficult personalities, mental health issues and complicated proceedings. My case did end up with multiple difficult surprises that could have devastated me financially and socially, but Kim got me through it without a scratch. I am a decent writer myself and work with lawyers frequently in my work; but I could NEVER have produced the legal artifacts (letters) that Kim did. They were extremely effective and served to close a very difficult process relatively quickly with an emphasis on ethics. My case ended up being difficult enough that I don't think the average divorce lawyer would have done as well for me. I recommend Kim without reservation.

Hands down the best law firm out there! I contacted Attorney Scott Marlow last minute and he was by far, the friendliest, most helpful attorney in the area. When this journey began, I knew I wanted the best representation possible. I did my research. I knew I wanted to be represented by someone ethical, tenacious, well-respected, and who would be a strong advocate for me! Bonus points for having good energy and a great sense of humor.

Fighting against a narcissist (ex) for my current husband to adopt my son was not going to be a fun or easy road, but Scott was ready to face the challenge and assured me that he would give it his all. He never gave me unrealistic expectations. I appreciated his honesty, diligence, and professionalism. He’s also super funny!

Attorney Basler represented me in a custody/placement case for daughter. From the very first conversation I had with Todd he assured me he would fight for what was right, and if that wasn’t in my favor, he wouldn’t represent me. I appreciated his integrity and respected his straightforward candor.
Thankfully Todd always believed that what was in my child’s best interest was being placed primarily with me and he kept his word and fought for what was right.

Attorney Basler was recommended to me and shepherded me through a divroce. My divorce was lengthy and my ex wife tried to throw about everything she could at me. Attorney Basler was excellent in assisting in response and always stressed the long game. He was right, and in the end, his advice proved very correct and I ended up getting the better of my ex wife.
We never got to trial, thanks largely to Attorney Basler's work, thank heavens. Attorney Basler navigated the opposing attorney's legal onslaught excellently and through his and his assistant's professionalism, made opposing counsel and her firm look bush league.
In summary, extreme professionalism, mastery navigaton of tactics, and though it thankfully never came to it, I think Attorney Basler would have owned opposing council in a trial. Highly recommended.

I hired Amy Lopez for a Divorce, Child Custody and
Ex Parte Orders. I needed a Temporary emergency (ex parte) order because my ex-wife was unstable and on drugs and left in the middle of the night with my two daughters to a different County 5 hours away. I was connected to Alex Moskovic through an Employer referral service at my work. I hired him regarding a no contact staking order against a former employee who harassed me and my family electronically and exerted multiple threats. This was an emotionally very draining time. In short, Alex helped me to obtain a 2 year plenary order by agreement, a rare achievement thanks to his great knowledge of the law. With the order in place I feel protected from the harasser and can continue living my life. As someone who never faced any legal situation, Alex guided me through the process and was available to talk when I needed him. Win Win! I hired Mr. Richardson on a drug charge. He went through the evidence from the prosecutor and told me the police probably overstepped and he was right. We went to court hearings and did well ... case did not go forward and the state had to drop it. Now Mr. Richardson is working on cleaning up my record. So I was referred to Attorney rouse by a good friend of my mother. I’m a cdl driver so I was looking for someone to help me with a major traffic violation that could have my license revoked for a long time. I called Mr. Rouse and he was very open about how we could go about things and what we should do moving forward with the case. He actually was very reasonable with pricing and worked with me as far as my budget. He advised me before I went to court to take a driver improvement course and to do some community service to make it a little easier on myself before going in front of the judge.this was actually great advice. We went to court and to my surprise the clerks and judge knew him on first name basis(that made me feel good) everything that he asked for , the judge granted. I left the court room only with a 300 dollar fine and no points on my cdl. Well later that night I didn’t know the rules as far as punishment for serious violations for cdl drivers. I check the dds and my cdl is suspended for 10 years, for a major lifetime violation. I immediately called attorney rouse and informed him. He advised me that the only thing we possibly could do was withdraw the plea. Normally with most lawyers, after the case is closed you have to pay another fee just to consult again. Attorney rouse was at the court house the next morning, I met him there and we withdrew the plea. Days passed by and I was weary because i was in fear of losing my livelihood. Attorney rouse advised me that since the head solicitor was not willing to give us a lesser please maybe we should try a bench trial. In my head when I think of trial, if you lose it could be bad for you. Of course this came with another fee, I really didn’t wanna try it but I took a step out in faith and trusted attorney rouse’s suggestion. We went to the bench trial and attorney rouse ate them alive. He told me months before, “ you could possibly beat this off of a technicality” I’m thinking nah man I’m cooked! Attorney rouse did his research and I walk out of the court room acquitted, all charges dropped. Before the trial attorney rouse and I talked about the fans leaving the stadium in the at the Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa game and they still won. I’m not gonna lie I thought I was doomed but I watched him work in that court room for 2 hours straight, objection after objection…. When we walked out he looked at me and said you left the stadium but we won in OT! Hire this firm…. We highly recommend this guy. He’s straight up and down

I had a complicated criminal case that changed through the course of the two year case. Mr Rouse handles things in a professional manner comprehensive explanation of the situation once its time to handle his business he does just that I thought I was going to prison but he was able to get my sentance into something manageable. No one really wants to go through any family/custody battles. So when I was faced with this issues I had no choice but to retain an attorney. After numerous hours/days of research I found the Dorsey Law Firm.
I came to Mr. Dorsey with a lot of uncertainty with my impending custody case. During my consultation Mr. Dorsey was fully tuned in and very attentive.
