I contacted Chris about helping me with setting up a will/trust for my wife and I and he has been extremely helpful in talking me through all that needs to be done. Devlin is a terrific mediation lawyer and professional who I regularly refer couples to for mediation and collaborative divorce. Working with the law office of Cecelia Soboleski has been one of the best decisions I have ever made since my divorce process started.
I say this because despite the distance and time difference, I currently live here in the Philippines, we were able to communicate well. She manage to discuss the plans and educate me about the case thru zoom meetings and email. She gives you insight but she let’s you decide on everything. Zoom meetings were arrange so that it would both fit into our schedule. She would definitely reply to questions and clarification thru email.

Deborah Dubroff guided me through a very long, contentious divorce that involved all kinds of non standard stuff (QDROs, out of state moves, spousal support, even a contempt hearing). When I met her, I was immediately struck by her candor, razor-sharp wit, and her obvious generosity of spirit. What I mean by the last is that she took lots of time with me during our initial meeting and really listened to me. She made me feel like everything would be ok, and it was. I won the entire case, including a very large settlement. She strikes me as extremely honest. She always charged me very fairly. To sum up, I think that Deborah is sort of the antithesis of the lawyer stereotype. She really cares about her clients and their outcomes. She doesn't overcharge. Esther represented me in the formation and signing of my pre-marital agreement. Throughout the process, she was extremely prompt, thoughtful, and professional. She followed up with me regularly when things were stalling with my fiancé's counsel. Esther represented me on visitation Modification Hearing order. She took my case about two weeks before the hearing and worked with me to get the supplemental declaration that needed to be prepared and submitted before the hearing. With only two weeks to prepare she was amazingly over prepared, confident and aggressive and did a great job. She had things finished well before the deadline and made it, so I didn't have anything to worry about. I was really impressed. She was available immediately by phone and email she never hesitated to give 100%. Esther was good at listening to me and knowing what to say to get the judge to see what was really going on. she was genuinely concerned about what was in my child's best interest and was very fair. Liz worked on my child support and parenting time modification and helped me pursue back child support. This case took almost a year and was very complex. Liz worked every angle in order to argue the case for back support which usually is not given. She is amazingly smart and energetic. Liz and her team handled my divorce from day one. She was up front and honest right from my first consultation as to what to expect throughout the process. She was aggressive in working with my ex-husband and forced his hand to get an attorney when he started to play games with us. She worked to get me the settlement my son and I deserved. Unfortunately we ended up in court but she was able to negotiate in the last minutes before meeting with the judge to get the settlement. I had some serious and complicated residual issues from my divorce several years ago, and had previously been burned and set back by a few 'very seasoned' (and very terrible/burnt-out) attorneys, before Kelly. Based on my situation and prior experiences in court, I was fully expecting (and dreading) that my only option would be to return there, and fight for something with little chances of prevailing. I met with Kelly, gave her a pile of paperwork and notes to review, with the agreement that we would conference call soon to discuss her recommendations. During that initial meeting, Kelly impressed me with her both professional and caring review of my situation. She was quick to dismiss/filter things that weren't relevant, asked very direct questions, and outlined how we would progress. A few weeks later, when we conference called to review, she recommended three options, with the dreaded court date as #3 (last). Although I didn't believe that my ex-wife would accept anything, I agreed to start with Option #1, expecting it to lead to #2 and then #3. Kelly prepared what we needed for Option #1, sent it to me for approval, and then presented it to my ex-wife. To my surprise and relief, my ex accepted our requests. I firmly believe that what Kelly presented and how she presented it (tone) nudged my ex into agreement. I think that Kelly means business, and she was able to convey this to my ex in a non-threatening, yet motivating way. She has saved me a lot, because I believe most attorneys would have signed me up for court dates and lots of expense, more concerned for their billable hours than my welfare.
Lost faith in or skeptical about attorneys? I was, big time. Kelly has restored my faith that there are good lawyers out there that care and want what is best for their clients. I highly recommend this professional.

I hired Kelly specifically on a recommendation from a family member. I knew I needed someone who really knew what they were doing for my case, and knew I needed to be prepared for a potentially ugly fight. I made it clear from the beginning that I wanted to be fair, but not taken advantage of in resolving my case.
Kelly was purely professional in her handling. She made sure I was prepared each step of the way, and worked with me to provide a fair and equitable settlement of my case.
While Kelly is not the cheapest attorney out there, I knew going in that you get what you pay for. And I knew I better be prepared for a fight and not need to, rather than need to fight and be unprepared. Kelly's fees were reasonable for a top flight attorney, and quite frankly one of the best investments I think I have ever made.
If you have a case where you know you will need an attorney who knows how the process works and can protect you in the difficult process of a divorce, I don't think you could find anyone better. I would highly recommend her.

Look, divorce is not a pleasant thing to have to deal with, but the last thing you need is an attorney that you have to wonder about.

Mr. Matisoff agreed to take over my divorce case a few months ago. He sees discrepancies and knows what actions need to be taken immediately. At my first consultation, I told him I was looking for an attorney with integrity that would assist with a fair settlement for me and my kids in a high conflict divorce. I did not want to have to worry about questioning what I was being told or be left out of the conversation. He told me to meet with my then attorney first to see if a resolution could be found with the current support issue and try to get back on the same page with that attorney. I did as Mr. Matisoff suggested and realized I got more clarity from a brief phone conversation with Mr. Matisoff than I had in a 2 hour face-to-face with my then attorney. My experience with Mr. Matisoff thus far has been unlike that with my former attorneys. I received my monthly invoice today and I am shocked that his billing is more than reasonable. Had I started with Mr. Matisoff, my divorce would have been final long ago, less money would have been wasted and some peace might have been preserved. I don't know that mediation would have ever been possible with my spouse, but I don't think things would have dragged on or gotten out of control. Highly recommended.

I hired Stephanie as my attorney for my divorce, She was best of the best ,the first time I met her she made me so comfortable and stress free .I went thru an extremely difficult and nasty divorce- orders of protection, I had time limits just to visit my own daughter. Ms. Hunnell and her staff were supportive and professional in assisting me with my particular situation which was filled with uncertainty and stress.
Stephanie was there to answer my questions and calm ANY anxiety that arose from legal as well other matters regarding the stressful situation I was facing. She assisted me in decision making and was understanding of my particular financial dilemma.

After a reference from a local PD social worker, I was sent to Figiel Law after a horrible experience in court with my initial retained counsel in my contested divorce.
While granular details will not be provided in this review, the circumstances that triggered an email for help came from the place of pure desperation during one of my many sleepless nights.
My email must have validated my anxiety and fear from the events that unfolded in the weeks prior with the previous divorce attorney as Lucas called me first thing next morning, 6:30am to try and put me at ease and determine if Figiel Law could provide support. He spent nearly forty minutes on the phone with me and upon initial discussion felt Figiel Law could help me out of my situation (one that felt helpless from where I sat).
They scheduled me into the office immediately after I retained them as counsel and I quickly sent all my files over for review. At my first visit, not long after the prescreening callback, the firm made me felt like this is exactly where I should be!
Nicholas read all my files in great detail so that upon our meeting, he already had some strategies, asked several questions and provided a roadmap of activities for us to spend our time and focus in order to counter back against opposing counsel with their lies presented in an emergency motion to the court.
All this from our first meeting!
Nicholas quickly drafted the top priorities for my settlement agreement and set appropriate expectations for the various possible outcomes. This was a good strategy as he also armed me with information about custody and parental laws; this was never shared by my previous counsel.
The reason I bother to share this, is that I never realized that I should have really spent more time on hiring and qualifying my divorce attorney as if they were my defending me for my life. As it turns out, contested divorce is really ugly and can turn your life upside down quickly, especially when trying to escape a domestically turbulent situation.

If you are looking for a straight forward lawyer that will fight for your best interest within the limits of the law, she is the one for you. I am a down to earth reasonable person, but life happens and I found myself needing a divorce attorney. Courtney came recommended by another attorney. Ms. Berkowitz is an outstanding attorney. Although she practices family law, she helped me win at the Office of Adminiztrztive hearing on a teacher dismissal case against LAUSD. Although we won at the OAH, the district appealed the OAH' s decision and shortly my case will be heard at the Los Angrles Superior Court on Thursday on December 10th, 2015.
Ms. Berkowitz is level headed and her no nonsense approach towards me and my case was beneficial and appropriate. She is tough if she needs to be and works well with others.

Arnie is excellent, understanding and always did what was best for me, whether I knew it or not at the time. He had an excellent relationship with my judge and worked effectively with the GAL and my ex's lawyer to bring resolution to all the issues I experienced. I have spent the past 10 years in and out of family court. The cost, stress, and difficulties of the family court system in Illinois have made life very difficult. I have been through two other attorneys prior to finding Tony. My experience with family law attorneys is they just go through the motions and have little concern for you on a personal level, not to mention in many instances they could care less that the family law system is destroying and hurting both you and your children. I spoke with Mr. Melendez custody in the event of a divorce. He was very insightful, patient, and sincere. He was very honest about the effect divorce has on children and how the court wants what is best for the child and the family. He also recommended marriage counseling as divorce should only be pursued if reconciliation is not possible. We came to Julia with an emergency grandchild custody/guardian situation that been totally botched by another attorney. This was our last chance so this time we were very careful and got a lot of advice from people who knew the field and knew the attorneys who was available. Unfailingly, Julia's name kept coming up as a recommendation. We were able to get in to her quickly. The fees are expensive but hers were not out of line with what we were expecting. You get what you pay for! She was knowledgeable and personable at our first meeting. Our case went on for close to a year. I felt like she only had us meet with her when it was necessary so she didn't waste our money. She was prompt at all court appearances and was obviously well respected by her peers and the 2 judges we went before. If we had any complaints, and it was only me because I was so emotional, it would have been that she spend a little more time explaining the process and what to expect. In retrospect, she didn't give us false hope. She can be a little blunt but when we were in court I was glad she was. Coming from the medical field, I compared her to a heart surgeon...a little over my head and all business. She was great in the courtroom, in control and she meticulously presented our case in a manner that was professional and convincing. We got the end results we wanted and she saved us a lot of money by working with the other attorney to get an agreement that saved us from another court hearing. Her office was gracious about allowing us to finish paying our bill in monthly installments. I have recommended her to others and if we ever have need of an attorney for something like this again we will be at her door immediately.
