I think we can all agree that 2020 has been a challenging year. This has been especially true for me as I lost my job in March and dug myself into a whole that was impossible to get out of with my rent. David from Edward and Alan law went above and beyond to help me. I was in the process of getting evicted and was so lost on what to do , he went out of his way to send me organizations for funding , personally contacted these organizations to help me and managed to help me get all of the money I needed to cover my rent and avoid eviction. He did this all without receiving any payment from me . David from Edward and Alan law had no obligation to help me, but he did more than that. I wouldn’t trust any other person or law firm in my time of need! I highly recommend getting in touch with them if you want a lawyer who not only gets the job done but goes above and beyond to do so!

As a small landscaping business owner with only an idea, I wanted to legally protect my invention. I was referred to Tracy by a corporate attorney and I am writing in now to express my sincere thanks to Tracy for her outstanding lawyer services on my case. I had a complicated civil court case related to custody that went on for far too long in the county court (it was so very stressful) and then resulted in my needing to file bankruptcy (which just added to even more stress), following also an appeals filing to the custody case, as well. The long-story short of it, is that it was a complicated and exhausting process that went on for months & months and I just needed a trusted legal counselor who could help me get to the proper resolution and allow me to gain peace-of-mind. I obtained Tracy's expertise because she came highly recommended and has experience in complicated cases related to appeals and bankruptcy matters; and frankly, I needed her to oversee a couple of attorneys who were not operating at a trustworthy and responsive pace in order to finalize matters on the case(s) to proper resolution. “In 2019 I was seriously injured in a car accident where I was rear ended in Carson City by a commercial truck. And the other driver’s insurance company did not call us back. So, I hired Sullivan Law to help. Wow, did they! The insurance company for the truck kept delaying and stalling and making excuses until we had enough of their games and Mr. Sullivan took them to court. In the fall of 2022, I felt like I was almost over the first accident when I suffered a second rear end collision - again in Carson City! It was so emotionally upsetting and painful. We engaged Sullivan Law to help again. Sullivan Law persevered and enlisted the help of Bradley Drendel & Jeanney in Reno for both cases. The insurance company on the 2019 case continued to stall. The 2019 case got set for trial in 2023 and with that pressure on, Joe Bradley and J. D. Sullivan and their great staffs worked hard together and got the 2019 case settled for me at the second mediation. Lisa and Amanda were great. What a relief! Even then, the insurance company delayed sending the settlement check, as agreed, and my attorneys had to threaten to get a court order forcing payment. Finally, after added delay, the insurance paid. And then, in late summer of 2023, we settled the 2022 case for the full insurance policy limits. Sullivan Law fought these legal battles for me every step of the way, even bringing in reinforcements with Bradley Drendel & Jeanney. And the attorneys were able to get a steep discount of my medical bills which really helped settle these two complex and intertwined cases. Such a stressful 4 years but things finally came to a closure. I worked on 2 different cases with her. One for consultation to launch a business with my partner. And another one was to build a paper contract for my existing business. Both of the case, she took time to break down to help me understand very well, and that was a big eye opening experience for me. If you have any kind of personal injury claim in California, individually or as part of a class, you need to hire Chris and Kevin Moon. It's that simple.
As a business and employment litigation attorney for both plaintiffs and defendants with more than 70 jury trials under my belt, I know the difference between "litigators" and real trial attorneys. The former are all too common in our profession, adept only at pushing paper, filing motions, and acting like keyboard warriors. I was searching for a Copyright Law Attorney because of a letter I received from another lawyer threatening me because I posted a wedding video on YouTube that contained a popular song that allegedly violated copyright laws. As a very small Wedding Video company I got very scared. To my surprise Mr. Golab answered the phone himself and it was already 7:00PM when I called! He actually gave me free advice and the GOOD kind of advice which is why I am still going to hire him in the near future to write a few contracts for me to use in my business. "I think the best way to rate is to detail my experience. I hope this review helps.
I'm an independent producer who, due to differences of opinions, had been inexcusably ousted from a project. I went above and beyond (the EP's words, not mine) in all areas; was on set where and when I could be, offered industry insight, assisted them with another production (for which I was made promises and they never followed through), introduced them to connections (for which they wouldn't have had otherwise), distribution (to which they snubbed their noses at), obtained pertinent info on an historic criminal case, info they never could have obtained on their own. That old adage "no good deed goes unpunished" well, does that ever ring true in my case.
Bottom lining it, I was in for a percentage of the proceeds. The EP's decided they were not going to honor our initial verbal agreement. I knew that if I wanted to see a dime, I needed an attorney.
I had spoken with various entertainment lawyers in L.A. and Michael came to me highly recommended by a manager who knows the business of "show" inside and out. He knows who's good, who's bad.
Michael and his team were, in a word, exceptional. Knowledgeable, skilled, always responsive (it's rare for an attorney to always be responsive!), always took the time to make sure I understood the intricate details, and why the case had to take the turn it did. My case was simplistic yet complicated; both defendants were, well, beyond words. I'll stop there.
So during discovery it came out that proceeds were so much lower than I had anticipated. Because the project turned out as it did technically (my opinions didn't matter despite being hired because of my expertise), and due to the inexperienced jacks of all trades/masters of nothing, there was hardly any return to speak of.
Or so the EP's have said. Ask me if I really buy that, I'll tell you no. Problem is proving it. But in the off-chance what they have claimed they made is true, then they were an utter failure.
I digressed; Michael and Paul were patient. They cared about the outcome. They guided me through the first trial; there was mediation at first and the proposed settlement was beyond a slap in the face. I'd have rather lost every penny at the judges hands than to settle with those two ignoramus'. Michael left me a voicemail while I was in court, he cared about what was happening. When I called him back, I told him what transpired. Additionally there was some paperwork that needed immediate attention. Although that trial was over, and we were then awaiting a verdict, Michael cared enough to take care of what needed taking care of. And we won!
So I guess one time in court wasn't humiliating enough to these two inept wanna-bees; yep, you guessed it! They filed an appeal. I then had the Kernan firm by my side in court; they were allowed to accompany me this time. And, we won again!
The satisfaction of having stellar representation, who is not only knowledgeable but professional, and can kill in court, that's sublime. For all I went through with an inexperienced, inadequate, irrational and highly unprofessional first-time "producers"- and I've worked with many over my 22 years in the industry- these two were the worst... and just to know that I had a competent, trustworthy, reliable and responsive team in the Kernan Law Firm- there are not enough great adjectives in our vocabulary to describe Michael, Paul and the whole team. If this thing went up to thousands of stars, the Kernan Law Firm would have that rating from me. I would use Mike and his team again in a heart beat.... and only Mike and his team. They're the best, (literally) bar none."
