We were referred to Nikki by another of her clients after reaching out to three other attorneys in the area to draft a family trust. Nikki was by far the friendliest and most responsive. Nikki was hired by me to deal with an unpleasant situation with my "landlord", which is actually a larger management company. Through no fault of my own, my apartment had been uninhabitable for nearly a month, and I could barely get them to acknowledge me. She sprang to action on my behalf immediately, never once backing down. I first hired Nikki Allen to get her help an issue concerning my father’s trust, of which I am a beneficiary. The trustee we had in place turned out to be engaged in illegal activity. Nikki quickly took control, had the trustee removed, and has been involved with me every step of the way since. There is no trust, real estate or probate matter that Nikki could not be an asset to. Working with Nikki on my father’s trust, made me realize that I needed to create a trust and redo the wills for my own family’s assets. Nikki worked with me to make sure that everything was put together according to my needs. I was extremely happy with the finished product. I can not recommend the work of Nikki Allen highly enough.

Sara helped our family successfully navigate a difficult and divisive time at the end of my mother’s life. She is a consummate professional with a breadth of experience (I believe she’s seen it all!), knowledge, and understanding. Sara ensured that mom’s wishes were respected and when mom developed dementia, skillfully shielded her from a relative who was seeking to take advantage. Sara is clear and direct but, at the same time, kind and compassionate. Sara’s knowledge of the law and her caring approach set her apart. I absolutely recommend her without reservation.

Since my father had not left a will when he passed, what little I knew about estates was that I would need help with my father's. I contacted Sara by phone and we spoke briefly and set an appointment to speak in person. Sara was not the first attorney I spoke with but the first to interview with me. At the interview I explained why I needed her help, I also showed my limited knowledge of what was before me. By the end of the interview Sara agreed to help me through the probate process. In the following months Sara worked on my behalf with the court and advised me what was expected of me as the administer of the estate. Through the whole process there were times I felt overwhelmed with the "business" of settling his estate and sometimes became quite emotional over my personal loss. But, with kind words and a firm direction Sara kept me on track and focused. I guess that's why attorneys are called counselors. Finally, with Sara's continued support and guidance, things were at an end and the estate was dissolved. There are things that happen in life that happen to other people and you think, that's too bad. But when one of those things happens to you you think, how will I get through this. I don't know how things would have turned out with someone other than Sara, I don't need to think about it. Sara was the best possible attorney for me to have helping me with her hard work, her knowledge and experience and her empathy. I plan on having Sara help with my estate planning since having experienced this ordeal once, I do not want to leave something like this to my loved ones.

We recently updated our estate documents with Laury Macauley, Esq. We have had trusts for over four decades and have worked with a number of attorneys over the years. After moving to Reno Nevada, a community property state, we needed an update. We contacted a number of estate attorneys. Almost all had 60+ page boiler plate trust templates into which they inserted relevant individualized information but most of these bloated documents had information that does not and never will be relevant to us. Such large trusts are cumbersome and inefficient since during settlement, parties must read everything to be sure something important is not missed. We wanted a more personalized straightforward trust which eliminated all the bloat, unnecessary legal jargon, generation skipping wording, minor dependents, dependent trusts, etc. etc.
Laury agreed to work with us to accomplish what we wanted…estate documents relevant to our situation written in a straightforward manner. In the end our very comprehensive trust is 22 pages long. We found her to be bright, helpful, knowledgeable and ethical. She was among a very few lawyers willing to help us create what WE wanted rather than something off the shelf. This took extra time so the process did extend over 2 months but we are extremely pleased. We would definitely recommend Ms. Macauley without reservation to others.

Eileen makes an uncomfortable procedure (a will) the easiest of procedures. We worked completely through e-mail until it was time for getting our wills notarized which saved us a great deal of time. She is the epitome of professionalism and guided us through each step and answered all of our questions. And, her fee was much less than another attorney I had talked to. It's definitely worth a call to Eileen if you need advice on wills and your estate. You will receive her professional expertise at a fair cost.

We felt that all of our legal needs for which we sought were met. The main benefit from working with DGVE was that we know that in any event our wishes have been communicated via a will and will be carried out as written. Additionally, DGVE made sure to bring up scenarios and possibilities that we hadn't considered and now those are also planned for. We feel that our children's needs will be taken care of in the event of an emergency/tragedy and that our wishes will be communicated to our loved ones and executed. Additionally, the process was so easy. My high-conflict Ex had Filed for Divorce just as the Pandemic started and we went on Lock-down. I had questions because I didn't know if I even needed a lawyer. Lorien answered all of my questions for me, and offered me direction, before she even agreed to represent me. She represented and stood by me during my almost three years long, High Conflict Divorce & Custody battle that included numerous false allegations, false accusations, multiple false CPS cases, Extreme Parental Alienation, and multiple Smear Campaigns by my ex. Lorien always knew what to do each time something new was hurled at me, and she helped me prove everything to be false, so that my children were returned to me, while helping navigate me through the most difficult, heart wrenching, and stressful time of my life; as well as restoring my character and reputation, in court. We had 7 full days of trial, as well as many, many Hearings. She had many witnesses and expert witnesses testify, always on pointe when questioning witnesses, and never backing down to opposing counsel and all their shenanigans. As a mother herself, she always has the best interest of the children at heart, and she really cares about her clients - you never feel like you're just a case. Ron Champoux was recommended to me by my business attorney to handle my divorce case. That was very fortunate. Ron clearly knows the law and better still what to expect from the court. He was able to predict with a high level of accuracy how the court might decide an issue, and develop a legal strategy around it. I respect that he never once spoke disparagingly of my ex-wife and did not foment friction. Unfortunately my ex-wife's attorney did the opposite. Ron Champoux was a step or two ahead of my ex-wife's attorney at every juncture. I could also see that Ron had garnered the respect of the court (Judge Beverly Wood) and was clearly liked by everyone, including opposing counsel. He's basically a nice guy who is very competent, treats everyone with respect and gets it back. I witnessed the value of having an attorney that the court respects. His personal integrity is a given in the courtroom and his representations carry weight. He makes honest statements and winning arguments.
My case was very litigious because my ex-wife's attorney was money hungry, hostile and unethical. Ron was able to deftly thwart the other side's aggression and shady tactics. He also very importantly explained the court's attitude toward entitlement and hard work. The Marin County Family Court is dominated by successful women who have balanced career and family, and do not agree that a spouse is entitled to a free ride while the other works. Ron understood that basic concept and the court's propensity for it and I was better served.
It makes a big difference having an ethical attorney who thinks well on his feet. Ronald Champoux saved me at least a half million dollars in settlement and perhaps over a million. So obviously I'm a big fan. Ron has mastered the nuances of managing a case, which means you are buying a high level of legal expertise and good sense. If you're looking for an attorney who will scorch the earth, then keep looking. But if you're looking for an attorney with class who knows how to win, then Ron Champoux is your guy.

Brian has represented me for a custody modification, and is currently representing me for a divorce and custody battle with an estranged husband that clearly suffers from narcissistic personality disorder and/or antisocial behavior disorder. Brian has had to endure harrassment from my estranged husband via email, court affidavits referencing him and his family members, multiple psychotic phone calls and now bad reviews of his law firm for no other reason than the other party lost and is losing. The drama is never ending with the narcissistic ones when they are losing. It is comparable to a child's temper tantrum. Brian has had to take many, many emails and phone calls from me over the last 18+ months and was always responsive. While dealing with all of this, Brian has been successful in every court hearing we have filed and I believe it will be one more in the books after the upcoming trial is over with this miserable abuser of a soon to be ex husband.

We hired Loni for a very complicated and stressful case. Her experience was extremely valuable in so many ways. In particular, it was a VERY emotional case for us and Loni helped us keep the proper focus when our emotions took us off course. She is extremely patient when listening to her clients.
