Although my divorce is what I consider the worst experience of my life, I have to give my attorney, Ms Debra Bryan a lot of credit,, for keeping me on track. The entire process was such a emotional roller coaster, and i whined entirely to much, but at the end of this process, my attorney (who I nickname mom) was able to secure me, a very nice and fair settlement. Ms Bryan, made sure that i was sure about me decision, to get a divorce. She asked the hard questions. Because of the attention she paid to me and my situation, I didn't even have to open my mouth to say anything in court, because Ms Bryan did exactly what she promised to do. Everything I thought I was losing, I was able to replace and still move on comfortable into the next journey.

After years of trying to have a baby , my wife and I had the opportunity to adopt a child. Debra was there for us from start to finish. She and Jennifer helped us through the roller coaster of emotions and never made us feel like we were a bother, even with the hundreds of questions. I can't say how happy we are to have our family complete, and if it weren't for them we would not have the blessing that we do. Thank you Debra!!!! I retained Zach as my attorney as I was in a custody battle after my divorce. I had been going it alone for about six months and although I felt I had a good case, there is always the "what if" Many factors regarding my case brought me to Zach. I had relocated to another state, had a new job, paperwork to locate and file, many things had to be addressed and considered. It was overwhelming.
From the moment I made the decision to get help, I knew that Zach was the attorney to represent me. The initial conversations we had by phone were comfortable and productive. The fact that I was 1400 miles away and that I was placing my children's future and well being in someone's hands was scary at first but Zach, I felt, was the one that could get it done for me.
The biggest concern I had was that I had given him less than 3 months to prepare. In that short amount of time he compiled all the documents, filed all the paperwork, conducted the interviews with the witnesses. He did that and so much more. When we entered the courtroom I was confident and WE were prepared. In court Zach was direct, to the point and was able to "paint the picture" for the Magistrate. He asked the right questions of every witness called to the stand and when the proceeding was complete there was no "what if" left in my mind.
When the court made their decision and I received the call from Zach that we had won, I knew I had made the right call. I cannot express enough my gratitude, nor the respect I have for Zach. I put my trust in him and he delivered. I could not be more pleased.

Mr. Bieber has handled my personal affairs (will, trust, miscellaneous matters) and the legal needs for my business (sale of one business and refinancing of another). He is attentive, well organized, and intelligent. Mr. Bieber does not drag out issues, but completes his work ahead of schedule. He is extremely fair in his fees. In fact, an attorney of this caliber, should probably charge more than he does. I highly recommend Walter Bieber as a personal or business attorney.

I can't say enough to express how amazing Justin is. 5 stars doesn't even come close to what I think he deserves. I have been involved in an extremely hostile custody situation for a year and half. Attorney Minicozzi assisted me after my divorce when my ex-husband refused to comply with the divorce decree.
David was supportive and knowledgeable about how to proceed through this difficult experience. During the course of the case he had to file multiple contempt charges. As the aforementioned ex wife, I highly recommend Carol. She was extremely professional while my ex was being his typical narcissistic, cocky, know it all. She found a way for him to actually pay for his son instead of tacking it on to his ridiculously large child support arrears from other children. It's unfortunate and sad that I had to get a lawyer in order for him to pay half of day care, which he brings him to everyday he has him and half of my son's health insurance. These are things any Dad should agree to pay for while having 50/50 custody. For anyone dealing with a manipulative narcissist as an ex, Carol will go to bat for you. I'd gladly spend the money again in order to get my son taken care of and moving along the divorce that lasted way longer than it should have while my ex leeched off of my health insurance and delayed the divorce for months. If I could give her ten stars, I would. Thank you, Carol, for giving me peace of mind and putting my son's well being first and foremost.

My husband passed away in 2020 and I had to sell the family farm in Michigan. Part of the farm was in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). The buyer told me he was going to leave the farm in the CRP program, but did not. Because he lied to me and withdrew the land from CRP, the Farm Serve Agency (FSA) sought tens of thousands of dollars from me in fees and penalties. I did not have the money to pay, so I searched out an attorney and found John in Indiana. Knowing he was a farmer and attorney, I felt he was the guy that could fix this issue for me. John represented me at a hearing at the Michigan State Farm Service Agency and we successfully got the penalties reduced down to only $3,000, saving me tens of thousands of dollars. For anyone needing an FSA or USDA attorney, I would highly recommend John.

Dealing with Landlords can be a scary thing. Your entire household is on the line. Gary was calming and patient and explained what could and could not be done; what my options were; the best course of action and WHY. Legalese can be very tricky and landlords have the upper hand and lawyers of their own AND they have dealt with this kind of situation multiple times. So has Gary. We had been trying to work through getting an adoption done for almost 10 years. Due to issues with the biological father it was one failed attempt after another. I had finally decided to try and take care of it on my own and contacted the Juvenile office in Springfield to get more info on what my steps would be. She referred me to Elise Baker. I was hesitant to call because I had called numerous lawyers in the past and everyone wanted a $300 to $500 fee just to talk to them about my case before even taking it on. No one wanted to give out any suggestions or even hear me out without money in their pocket 1st. A lot of lawyers didn't seem hopeful of our situation. I went ahead and gave her a call I went ahead and gave her a call as a last ditch effort. Not only did she get on the phone with me without a consultation fee but she walked me through everything I would need to do in order to take care of it myself. All of the information I needed, the steps I would need to take, and suggestions on how to get it done. I was blown away by how freely she was willing to help without any fees up front. I was incredibly grateful and asked if she would just go ahead and be our lawyer. She accepted. Not only was her price about half of the price of all the other lawyers I had talked to but she was incredibly friendly and spoke layman terms and made the process as easy as this kind of process could be. We worked together for months building our case and getting all of the necessary information together and as of December 17, 2021 all 3 of our children have been adopted! 10 years in waiting and it's finally done! I would recommend Elise to anyone looking to to get an adoption done.

Wayland Worked with me on a not very complicated or contested divorce. He explained all of my options and ways to do things. he was not very expensive and kept in touch with me about every question or situation that came up. The only drawback that I could even think about is that he has not practiced a lot here in Athens yet and may not be very well known around the town. I met Matt when both of my parents were going downhill physically and mentally. My mom had been sick for years and my dad had just suffered a massive stroke. Both of my parents were under age 70. I have 3 siblings and we all agreed we needed guidance. I don't know how we could have done it without him. With his guidance and knowledge we were able to actually retain some of my parents assets that otherwise would have gone straight to the nursing home. Matt's knowledge of the Medicaid system can only be described as PRICELESS!
Many people cringe when you tell them you had to hire an attorney and the first thing they ask is "Is he expensive?" Our experience with Matt left us with more than we would have had if we had not hired him. I feel like he took so much stress out of the Medicaid nightmare and let us focus on being there for our parents.
I have referred many friends to Matt and have received many thanks from them. I have actually referred to him as " my guardian angel"!! He is easy to work with and his assistant, Lisa is always available for questions and has become a true friend.

Attorney Kilkenny represented me in a landlord/tenant dispute. He was recommended by another attorney. At first I was a bit apprehensive about hiring such a young attorney but Attorney Kilkenny has proven that honesty, intelligence, and a strong work ethic can provide excellent results. I was originally planning to spend $4,000 on attorney fees but he was able to negotiate a deal with the landlord and reduce it to about $1,000. He's willing to do what is in the client's best interest rather than what is more profitable for himself. His hourly rate is also very low for the caliber of his skills. I've used attorneys at large law firms in the past and have found that they sometimes don't have enough time to dedicate to my case. Attorney Kilkenny, however, promptly responded to all my calls and emails and I can't recommend him enough.

Contacted Chris for a complex criminal case at a very stressful time in my life. He listened very carefully to my questions and concerns with true sincerity . I never felt rushed or that he didn’t have any time for me. I never felt misled either.

Was very helpful with my elderly parents getting all needed documents in order. When my father passed again helped ease the burden of all the legal aspects and requirements to help my mother in directions she needed to follow. We hired Tom Minetree to handle a Medicaid benefits application for a family member. Despite the intertwined finances of the applicant and his wife, Tom's office ably prepared the application and determined precisely when it should be submitted. The state Medicaid agency challenged a property transfer that had occurred prior to the submission of the application. We would up litigating the issue before an administrative law judge who, thanks to Tom's capable representation, determined that we had, in fact, complied with the strict requirements of the law. Furthermore, the state Medicaid agency affirmed the decision and confirmed benefits as of the date of the application.

Being single with no children, I decided it was time to get my affairs in order and sought the advice of Tom Minetree who specializes in elder law and estate planning. During my estate planning it became very evident that Tom knows his speciality and provided some very helpful legal insight into my affairs. After my first consultation, I thought my mother should look at her estate planning. My brother and I first met with Tom and came away again with the feeling Tom really knows what he is talking about.
During the establishment of our mother's estate and that of mine, I can truly say it was a pleasant experience, unlike others I have had, to deal with Tom and his staff. Tom sees the big picture and looks down the road to the future.
I called several times and asked numerous questions and not one time was I talked down to nor felt my questions were unwarranted.

Mr. Hafley was appointed to represent my son, Brian. When I spoke with him, his knowledge of the law was astounding. His knowledge of who my son was caught me off guard. I had the privilege of having John Hafley handle a Felony Evading case I was previously charged with. He exercised his knowledge of the law along with his professionalism to ensure that my civil rights were not violated and that the law was upheld. The arresting officer was rogue and unlawful with his detainment of my person. As a result of his actions ,the charge was dismissed during an Examining Trial due to Mr. Hafley hearing my side and presenting the facts that the officer would not. John Hafley's efforts, in my opinion, are second to none.

Mr. Bell was so greatly appreciated for his work that he did for my husband & I. He was very prompt in completing the job in hand and when it came time to sign papers, he made himself available for our convenience. When we did meet, Mr. Bell was very explanatory in what he had done for us and it was in simple laymen's terms and not a lot of complicated legal jargon.
