Mrs. Alicia Hall was the Amicus Attorney/Guardian Adlitem for my daughter in a highly contentious custody battle. From day 1 she shot straight with me and emphasized the fact she does not represent me nor the opposing party, for her representation is via the court and my daughter's best interest and safety, which she also stressed was her sole primary concern. Mrs. Hall is extremely knowledgeable of the law and responds to missed calls and etc in a timely fashion without remiss. I received a prompt response after E-mailing Barbara Craig, through AVVO. I was offered a free consultation immediately. Upon arriving at her office, my daughter and I were greeted very warmly, both by Barbara and her pet dog, Rosie. I was sent a notice to vacate my apartment, after nineteen years of residency. I believe the property agent who issued this notice, made a wrong decision as it was all based on slander. The agent refused to listen to my side and would not renege on this notice. Barbara listened carefully and reviewed the matter and explained why it would be difficult to fight. She was decisive and called this agent. She was very professional on the phone. The agent refused to withdraw the notice. Whilst I did not hire Barbara, I was overwhelmed with her generosity - what should have been a one hour free consultation (generous in itself), turned into a two and a half hour one! How many attorneys do that and expect nothing in return? She is a wonderful person and totally committed to her work and to helping people. I would definitely recommend her and would consult with her in the future, if I need a lawyer. She also has an extraordinary and interesting background, which I admire.

Going through a divorce is difficult. Having Regina on my side and her truly wanting the best for me and my kids was invaluable. She gave honest, sound legal advice. She would listen if I was upset and offer words of wisdom. I never felt alone because I knew she was there to make sure I got a good settlement. As a family-based practice she has assisted and acted for me in a number of diverse roles. These have included resolving underpaid child care funds, sorting though suggested untimely termination, and very difficult and contentious mediations that did not result in court time, but with a desired resolution achieved, amicably. Shannon Hammond did an excellent job for my parents. Her expertise was/is so impressive. Originally, we went to a lawyer in Rockville who didn't do anything and yet charged my parents $3,500. I witnessed the initial experience with both lawyers. On our first meeting Shannon Hammond spent over 2 hours asking questions and with the information created an excel spreadsheet - the information was unique to my parents' situation. One month prior to meeting Shannon Hammond we met with a Rockville lawyer who spent 1/2 hour with us; we knew nothing when we left her office. The Rockville lawyer directed me to provide all information to her; her paralegal filled in an already issued template from the information I provided which took me over a week to gather. The Rockville lawyer did not create anything original (it was a template) whereas Shannon Hammond created the unique excel spreadsheet that pertained directly to my parents' situation. The Rockville lawyer rushed through whatever information she was trying to provide us whereas Shannon Hammond took so much time that even my mother understood what she was presenting to us. My parents will continue to use Shannon Hammond as will the rest of my family. I have already recommended Shannon to friends who will be using her in the future. She's the best and I cannot say enough great things about her especially since I had experienced a horrible lawyer prior to meeting Shannon. Shannon Hammond respects all who speak to her unlike the Rockville lawyer who was always too busy to take calls, etc. I highly recommend using Shannon Hammond for any elder care services but especially if applying for Medicaid.

I suffered a shoulder injury in 2018 at a dive bar. The injury left me with a broken clavicle. I was unable to work for a while. The incident left my life completely derailed. I spoke to Ms. Brown and her paralegal, Carol, a couple of months ago regarding the conservatorship of my daughter, who is in a longterm care facility. I talked to Carol several times before speaking to Ms. Brown. Based upon my experience with a previous attorney, I was taken by the compassion, understanding and kindness that Carol showed me in those initial encounters. She offered me some ideas for handling a particularly difficult situation before setting up an appointment with Ms. Brown. When the need became more pressing, I finally talked to Christine, who took a practical approach to the predicament in which I found myself and in the end, saved me from a prolonged court fight and significant fees. I can't recommend this firm highly enough. In my experience, there aren't many attorneys who will take on conservatorship matters as they can be fraught with emotion and contentiousness. These women have kind hearts and that is rare in the legal profession, whether due to training or personality. I found in this firm that it is possible to have compassion and still be professional.

Christine Brown and her staff made what we thought would be a very difficult process very easy. She has a wonderful sense of humor which is important in tense situations.
She is very attentive to details and makes sure everything is included in the trust as well as all supportive documents.

Lillian Miller was recommended by a friend to do estate planning for me. She did a great job. She met with me and my two children, where we discussed our situation and our needs. She listened very well, and took the time to understand us. She asked many questions, so she could get a clearer picture of what I would like to accomplish and avoid in the event of my death or incapacitation.
She spent a great deal of time explaining to us what our options were, and what advantages or disadvantages there would be depending on the choices that were made.
She was prompt in returning phone calls or emails. Her fees were reasonable.

I hired Beti to represent me in a family dispute that had been brewing and knew would become extremely contentious. To save costs, Beti directed the associate lawyer who later left but then was replaced by another associate attorney, Lorne who was very detail oriented, responsive and capable. I was always advised honestly of what would happen. Beti and Lorne did not escalate any matter in order to pad their bill. Beti is a tough lawyer and not afraid to fight. But she and her associate always gave me the landscape of options and what would happen if I chose one option over the other. And when I did chose an option, they played a strong hand. It was supposed to be an amicable divorce initiated by my ex-wife. It became clear that she wanted to set the financial terms based on what she thought was right. David was always calm and took some of the emotional elements out of the mix and focused me on the real terms. He was nonetheless a good listener and showed empathy while guiding me through the legal process.
He shared with me some of facts he would have presented to a judge had the amicable process gone awry. But all in all David worked hard at moving a difficult process through to its conclusion with minimal acrimony.
If you are looking to grind an axe I don't think he is the guy for you!
Otherwise I would highly recommend him to anyone going through the inherently difficult and emotional challenging process of ending a union while minimizing the collateral damages. He will make the tough journey that much easier. He is really a good guy and a good attorney!
