Ware has now represented/advised me on 4 different legal matters, and two of them were not a formal engagement, but just reflective of his hidden compassion, whereas he never asked for a penny for his attentive help to educate my engaged attorney’s that only focused on billing! Ware has responded to messages during the early hours to quell my fears! Or his generosity of his off hours, by taking time on a Sunday, or while vacationing in the keys with limited cell service to address my concerns, that no attorney of his caliber would ever do, especially after 40+ years of private practice! He will try to and states that he keeps the emotions out of his process, and that he cant take an emotional stake in my cases, and he adamantly sticks to the rule of law, but his generosity of his time and help in cases that he has no financial interest in suggests otherwise. I have unfortunately had to engage 8 lawyers over the last 6 years, and his professionalism and his understated genuine hidden nature to protect and nurture his clients is a quality that reveals itself over the years. He genuinely cares to the accuracy and legal adherence to the rule of law and is beyond generous with his time! His assistant “Brittne” is so sweet, compassionate and reflects Wares’s core values.. in my opinion” integrity, honesty, caring compassionate advocate of my rights” I have not been 100% successful in all the matters that was represented for me. But if you want to have an attorney that is so brilliant and detailed and attentive, then Mr Cornell is the only lawyer you should consider. His is unlike any attorney I have ever engaged and if you want representation by the “shark” whereas all other attorneys swim in his pond!

We met regarding a labor case involving my employer and an ongoing Disablity discrimination and retaliatory harassment case. Even though we have not formally filed any charges because of special reasons, he already knows what he has to do to reduce expenses and get the end result we would like to see. He has measured the cons against the pros and gave his opinion based on what he knows about my employer and the type of courts we have here in Florida. My impression is that He is very knowledgeable and a matter of fact which I value in a lawyer. I appreciated his honesty even if it was not information I wants to hear. He offered his expertise opinion on how to deal with the case which was a wait and see after I am fired. Even though I’m not happy with having to continue to be harassed and the hostile working conditions I am being subjected to, I know that he will be the best to represent me because he has a plan in place. Immediately after my consultation, I provided over 700 pages of my evidence to him and with a small consultant fee he reviewed it over several weeks. He then scheduled me a few weeks later to discuss the plan and the pros and cons of my case. He did not charge a second consult fee and advised me of the approximate amount it would cost me to hire him for arbitration. He already knows the direction my case will have and what he needs to do. Based on this I feel he is competent and trustworthy. I am confident that he will deliver when the time comes. If you want to consult with an expert labor attorney please do not hesitate to meet with him and get the opinion of a true specialty attorney.

I met with Ware when he was recommended by a friend. I liked him right away, and I hired him. It was my first time hiring an attorney, and I should have asked him more questions to understand his work style. But I liked him and trusted my friend's recommendation. I would have been happier working with an organized, strategic planner. If I had received a phone call or email every couple of months with an update on my case, that would have been better. Had Ware spelled out the specifics of my financial obligations to him up front instead of sending me seemingly random and sporadic invoices, I would have trusted him more. But what really bothered me is that Ware took away ownership of my case. I told him I wanted to be at all the depositions for my case, but instead he held them without my knowledge. He did not consult with me to learn details that these depositions could have brought to light. I never heard from him after depositions with a summary of what took place. As I see it, this was my case, and Ware was there to help me, but he seemed to think I had little role in it. In the end, the real value of my case was over 200K less than his original estimate. When did he break this news to me? On the morning before the final mediation. It's been two years since my case concluded, and I waited to write this review because I wanted to see if time would soften my perspective. In the past two years, I've gotten to know dozens of attorneys through my current job, and have a clearer picture of attorneys can potentially operate. They can be organized. They can be transparent communicators. They can keep their clients in the loop. But Ware doesn't.

A paralegal (S. M.) working w. Mr. Winfrey asked me to send her my numerous documents & recordings to review for an employment issue - she strung me along for 4 months before sending me a letter 4 days before my first meeting w. the EEOC & Defendant that they were not taking my case. This may constitute malpractice & is the worst responsive I have ever received. Reputable attorneys respond within 1-2 days or a week whether they will take a case. In the declination letter (copied Mr. Winfrey) the paralegal made a bold untrue statement: "after a thorough review of your case...." They did not conduct any, let alone a thorough review that they purported to have condcuted - I verified this because I sent my docs. via Dropbox which sends a notice when my files have been accessed. Shame on you for costing me nearly $100,000 in severance and leaving me in a lurch w. no time to search find a lawyer. I will seek the lost funds from Morgan & Morgan. This has caused great distress and financial hardship to me at a time when I cannot recover. I also left voicemails for Mr. Winfrey and he never returned any of them, also, poor practice. For the largest purported firm (M&M), do they not have other paralegals to respond.

Mr. Smaili took care of my case very personal and processed so efficiently that it got closed with getting my investment back along with a portion of my damages & profit share without wasting any time within 90 days. Thank you so much again for all that you have done and especially for being so supportive and understanding with me & generous.

I can not adequately put into words how amazing Doug Kane is as a lawyer. I was dealing with a very difficult employer and Doug was able to navigate the inane and idiotic attempts by my former employer at dismissing my case. Doug was phenomenal at informing me of each step of the process, and offering me multiple options as to how we could proceed. Doug explained each piece of documentation, as well as all correspondence with the other parties attorney and the courts. He was almost always available to talk about the case, and if he was not he always scheduled a time to discuss the case. I am deeply appreciative for his kindness and his expertise. (Just don't ask him to speculate on the case! He only deals with the facts!) Ultimately I was VERY satisfied with the outcome and I would not hesitate to recommend Doug to anyone seeking counsel on employer/employee issues. 10/10 would recommend anytime.

Mr. Pitts-Wiley accepted my case despite the fact that he only had two weeks to prepare and go before AJ. I thought my case was a sure win, because of the facts and evidence presented during EEO investigation. So I didn't think I needed a lawyer. Due to experience and expertise in Federal law, more specifically whistleblower retaliation and wrongful termination, Mr. Pitts-Wiley advised against an EEO appeal. He has genuine concern and care for me as his client. He has been my voice of reason and logic and prevented me from making decisions and choices based on my emotional state that would have resulted in a significant amount of additional unnecessary lawyer fees. I was mad at first because I wanted what I wanted. He was quite clear and a matter of fact that what I WANTED was not in my best interests at that time.... It validates my rating of excellent because he was doing what was in my best interest emotionally as well as financially. He could have filed an initial appeal and padded his pockets based on my emotional state. But he went above and beyond to fully explain why an appeal would not be advantageous at THAT TIME. While waiting for my Agency to make a decision on my proposed removal Mr. Pitts-Wiley would check in to see how I was doing. This speaks volumes and further validates my 5 star rating. Two years later.... Mr. Pitts-Wiley's knowledge, professionalism, experience and dedication is beyond reproach. I've never felt so confident about my case than I do Now... two years later. It is more than evident that he was a God send and that having him and his team represent was the best decision ever. He has been extremely transparent regarding the possible outcomes, however just based on his actions in what I would consider minute details is proving to monumental in my case. His level of transparency, professionalism, dedication and compassion, makes me want to go back to school so I can help others as he and his team has guided me through this process! I'm excited for the outcome.

While representing me an unfair Labor practice against the Union and companies of the Union she failed to do simple legal research of unfair labor practices. After I discovered a multitude of unfair Labor practice laws that prohibited the companies and the Union of the treatment that they have done to me she refused to amend my complaint. As I constantly try to speak with her about the issue she became closed off and very combative. Unfair Labor practice laws the only took me less than 5 minutes to discover was laws that she never discovered on her own which leads me to believe she did absolutely zero research on my case. Not only that but it's unfair Labor practice laws that in my case cannot be debated by the defendant side. Unfair Labor practice laws like the violation of the Beck Act, Weingardener Act, Total Security under NLRB, and many more. Which we would have been able to prove without a reasonable doubt I did not receive as a union member and my case would be one. It also would prove the violation of the duty of representation of the Union itself in the union participation in the discriminatory practices that constitutes as unfair Labor practice it automatically entitles me to full back pay, front pay and punitive damages. Instead this lawyer refused to amend the original complaint which spoke nothing on the violation of unfair labor practices which was the exact reason that we were in court. Then this lawyer turned around and motion to be removed from my case because she was absolutely combative with a man in the complaint and adding the right case laws that was undeniable in the matter. And then she demands thousands of dollars in retribution after she failed to represent me correctly and properly research angles to win my case. This lawyer is a scam artist that makes poor financially disabled people sign a bogus contract agreement to secure her representation that's access for a high interest on the case when won. Knowing that the people calling is in desperate need she acts as a wolf and sheep clothing only communicating to rob the disenfranchised. Do you like knowledge of cases that she agree to join, well at least in my case. Then she does not put in the effort to properly defend the vulnerable worker that suffered the Injustice from their employer. I would not recommend this lawyer to my worst enemy. The laws that I've mentioned within this review I had to find on my own and once I tried to present the laws and help her out because she told me if I want my complaint amended I will have to find a different attorney. If you are someone with a strong case and financially disabled I would warn you not to take this road because in my experience it would not lead to the success in the case that would be deemed appropriate. It was absolutely a terrible experience and journey. So this attorney gets zero Stars and anyone that is bold enough to challenge my review here and seek to find out for themselves all I can do is pray for you and your family. My sincere's testimony from only my personal standpoint from my personal experience with this attorney. She will expect for you to pay her thousands of dollars even when she asked the courts to remove her from your case because she refuses to make corrections which is necessary for the greater good to your claims. Again I say this only for my personal experience, you have been warned.

When I had a work-related problem, and suffered significant stress-related issues because of it, I turned to Alicia Anderson for guidance. She had been recommended to me by a highly trusted source. From the prompt return of my initial call until the satisfactory culmination of my situation, Alicia could not have been more professional, knowledgeable and supportive. Ms. Anderson listens, hearing not only the facts, but the emotional turmoil that some situations engender, and she handles both the legal and emotional sides equally well. I could not have asked for better representation or more clear explanations of the applicable law. The value of her advice and attention to detail, combined with her ability to ascertain an effective resolution cannot be overstated. I would recommend Ms. Anderson for anyone. She will be straightforward, hugely competent and resolute in her pursuit of a fair outcome for you.

Michelle Phillips had the experience to quickly ascertain the dynamics of our case and the deep knowledge of the law to provide both initial guidance and to prepare our legal strategy. She was able to navigate the twists and turns of the case, quickly and effectively addressing all issues and arguments. If it had not been for Ms. Phillips counsel I believe that our case would have taken much longer to resolve with higher risk, greater expense and potentially negative business consequences. I'm confident in her mastery of the law, ability to apply her experience and knowledge in an efficient and effective manner, and by her responsiveness and relentless efforts to resolve our dispute. We continue to work with Ms. Phillips and count on her strong counsel to address any issues we may face in the future.

She'll tell you if you can save money in legal fees. She would be a great judge. Her code of conduct is impeccable. She commands respect and is good to have on your side. I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the service provided by your firm regarding my recent legal case. Initially, I was optimistic about the level of expertise and support I expected to receive. However, the events that transpired have left me with no choice but to communicate my dissatisfaction. One of your lawyers, whom I entrusted with my case, abruptly informed me a couple weeks before my trial that they would no longer be able to represent me due to accepting a position elsewhere. This last-minute notification put me in an extremely precarious position, leaving me without adequate time to secure alternative representation. What compounded my frustration was the lack of initiative from your firm to rectify the situation or offer assistance in finding a suitable replacement. This lack of support during such a critical time is not only unprofessional but also reflects poorly on the commitment you profess to your clients. The absence of a contingency plan or even an attempt to make amends for this oversight is bewildering. It is reasonable to expect a law firm of your stature to handle such transitions smoothly and with the client's best interest in mind. Unfortunately, this was not my experience, and it has significantly impacted my view of your firm. I had hoped for a partnership that valued professionalism and client welfare, but instead, I was met with negligence and a disregard for the gravity of my situation. It is with regret that I must state that I cannot recommend your services based on my experience.

I would like to express sincere and heartfelt gratitude for the work of Jesse Franklin-Murdock and the Center for American Liberty's extraordinary support in my case. From the outset, when I had that initial call with Eric Sell, and with Josh Dixon – they immediately pulled in strong resources and subsequently Mr. Franklin-Murdock. All these actions and the associated conversations demonstrated dedication, professionalism, superior competency, knowledge, and application of relevant case law by everyone who touched my case but most of all you, Jesse, so thank you! You yourself Jesse, went well above expectation by fielding calls and executing on some key action items, even while on international vacation. Jesse, to you and the entire Center for American Liberty and the entire Dhillon Law Group – THANK YOU for defending my rights with vigor, professionalism, superior application of law, a successful outcome, and for the intangibles like diligence, listening, empathy and that unique feeling that I, as a client, actually matter. I was referred to Archer and Greiner from a real estate attorney in Pennsylvania, I made the initial call, had a pleasant conversation, was asked to forward some documentation, which I did immediately. I was awaiting a call back and did not get one, so a few weeks having gone by, I called the office, was told the attorney that I was working with was busy, I never got a call back. I waited a few more weeks and called again, once again the receptionist told me that the attorney was not available. I informed the receptionist that this will be the second time I am doing this dance and that I am more than willing to pay for any services. I also informed her that I am a successfully retired business owner and had also served as a fighter pilot in the US Air Force, worthy of the attorney's phone call. I have not received a phone call back. I also registered this same complaint directly with Archer and Greiner via a contact form on their website, I have not heard anything from that communication either. I can only guess as to why. It would have to be one of 3 reasons, 1) The lawfirm is so disorganized that they cannot keep track of contacts and calls, 2) The attorney does not want the business 3) The firm is so busy that they are not taking on new clients. I would imagine and expect that a professional organization such as Archer and Greiner look to be, would in case 2 or 3 have the common decency to just tell me that, however, since they haven't I must conclude that the answer is either 1 or that they do not conduct themselves in a professional manner.

We need arbitration reform and arbitrator regulations. There are no valid checks and balances with truly getting a fair, impartial and unbiased process. Arbitrators have more power than a judge. Little to no appeal options with binding arbitration. With no valid checks and balances the arbitration process can portray as a scam. I had asked one arbitrator (a retired judge at this firm) to clarify a potential conflict and concerns of bias. Instead, the arbitrator dismissed the case without a hearing. I would not recommend the American Arbitration Association as the process is not fair, unbiased and impartial as they advertise. I had reached out to vice presidents to get involved with the process and they never even responded. The unfairness is so blatant, the area I was assigned, the AAA administrators do not even provide their own names. It's an ethics and moral issue if you can't put your name on your work.

Around mid July of 2023, I had met with Gene Adkins from Hitchcock Law PLLC to formally sign the appropriate papers to be filed with the courts to establish my deceased grandmothers estate. Up until this point, all interactions with Gene and Hitchcock Law were timely and professional with no cause for concern. Approximately one week later 6/26/2023 Hitchcock Law deposited the $2,000 retainer check as requested and discussed during our initial in person meeting. Since sending payment to Hitchcock Law, the estate papers were filed with the court but quickly rejected due to an oversight from Gene which took place on 7/12/2023. It was not until 8/12/2023 that I had reached out for an update to be informed that there was an issue and new papers needed to be submitted; no communication on behalf of Gene or Hitchcock Law. Since then, I was told new e-sign documents would be sent over to make the requested corrections, and two months have since passed and there has been absolutely no progress. ZERO communication has been initiated by Hitchcock Law in regards to these concerns. $2,000 dollars and almost 6 moths later I am still at ground zero; a complete waste of time.

Second, Kathleen is not only very experienced and knowledgeable about the law, but most importantly, she's consultative and able to advice each step along the way. What's the strategy? I used attorney Graham Contatser for a real estate transaction and could not have been happier. He was responsive, professional, and at the end of the day, ensured that a fairly complicated deal got done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

There is a high turnover of attorneys at this firm. They went through three family law attorneys in a short time. You may blink and your attorney is no longer there. David Steerman is still there, he is an awesome attorney. If you go here for family law, I recommend him.

These people are some of the world’s best. They helped me every step of the way start and grow my advertising and communications business into a global powerhouse. Their advice, their practical advice, their genuine concern for our firm and its principals, their knowledge of the industry and our clients proved invaluable at every stage. And they continued to provide invaluable services when we sold our company and to its new owners. They are doing the same for the firm I work for now. Work with them. You won’t be disappointed. I’d bet you’d be as delighted as I was. They get it. As their website says, “legal mastery is essential but insufficient. Even the best lawyering must work in tandem with business realities.” They demonstrate genuine care for you, your goals and success. Most lawyers I’ve worked see all the problems, they will help you find the path thru them!!

Top Questions to Ask a Lawyer

When meeting with a lawyer for the first time, it's important to ask the right questions to understand their expertise and determine if they're the right fit for your legal needs. Here are some top questions to consider:

  1. What experience do you have with cases similar to mine?
Ensure the lawyer has relevant experience in the specific area of law pertaining to your case.
  2. How do you charge for your services, and what are the estimated costs?
Understand the fee structure, including hourly rates, flat fees, retainer fees, and any additional expenses.
  3. What potential outcomes can I expect from my case?
While no lawyer can guarantee results, they can provide an assessment of possible scenarios based on their experience.
  4. What is your approach to handling cases like mine?
Learn about their strategy, whether they prefer negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
  5. Who will be working on my case?
Find out if the lawyer will handle your case personally or delegate tasks to other attorneys or paralegals.
  6. How will you communicate with me throughout the process?
Establish expectations for updates, preferred communication methods, and response times.
  7. What is the likely timeline for resolving my case?
Get an estimate of how long the process may take from start to finish.
  8. Do you have references from past clients?
Testimonials or references can provide insight into the lawyer's professionalism and effectiveness.
  9. What are the strengths and weaknesses of my case?
Understanding potential challenges helps you prepare and sets realistic expectations.
  10. Are there alternative ways to solve my legal problem?
Discuss options like mediation, arbitration, or settlement to resolve the issue efficiently.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  1. Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing.
  2. Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case.
  3. Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association.
  4. Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to gauge client satisfaction.
  5. Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field.
  6. Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation.
  7. Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  8. Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  1. Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as contracts, correspondence, legal notices, court papers, or evidence.
  2. Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and involved parties.
  3. List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, or the lawyer's experience.
  4. Financial Information:
If applicable, bring financial documents like pay stubs, tax returns, or bank statements.
  5. Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case.
  6. Personal Identification:
Bring a valid ID for verification purposes.
  7. Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points.
  8. Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations.

How Much Does a Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a lawyer varies widely based on several factors:

  • Fee Structures:
    • Hourly Rate:
Lawyers may charge anywhere from $150 to $500 or more per hour, depending on experience and location.
    • Flat Fee:
For routine legal services like drafting a will or handling an uncontested divorce, lawyers might offer a flat fee.
    • Retainer Fee:
An upfront payment against which the lawyer bills hourly fees.
    • Contingency Fee:
Common in personal injury cases; the lawyer receives a percentage (typically 25% to 40%) of any settlement or award.
    • Monthly Retainer:
For ongoing services, businesses might pay a monthly fee for a set number of hours or services.
  • Factors Affecting Cost:
    • Complexity of the Case:
More complex cases require more time and resources, increasing costs.
    • Lawyer's Experience:
Highly experienced lawyers may charge higher fees.
    • Geographic Location:
Legal fees can vary significantly by region or city.
    • Additional Expenses:
Court filing fees, expert witness fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs may be extra.
  • Estimating Total Costs:
Request a detailed fee agreement outlining all potential costs.
Discuss any additional expenses that may arise during the case.
  • Negotiating Fees:
Some lawyers may be willing to negotiate fees or offer payment plans, especially for clients with financial constraints.
  • Pro Bono Services:
For those who cannot afford legal services, some lawyers or legal aid organizations offer services at reduced rates or for free.
