After putting it off for years, my husband and I worked with Katherine to create our will. From start to finish, our experience was excellent. Kat was great when it came to all the questions we had and helped explain many of the confusing legal jargon in easy to understand terms. She was patient with our timing, as it took us a little longer than expected to get all of the pieces together and when it was time to finalize everything, the additional staff we interacted with were kind and professional. I was very impressed with Mr. Tormey's professionalism and knowledge. I met with Mr. Tormey for a Free 30 min. consult about a possible patent idea. Come to find out, he is an Electrical Engineer, has his MBA and an attorney. My idea did not pan out but if I go through the steps he suggested, I will be going back to him with the background work I need to do. I would have wasted a lot of money with another attorney if I had not spoken with him first. He has great business savvy and know how to get things done!

Mr. Tormey worked with me to write a contract for distribution of products in the US that were manufactured outside of the US. The complexity of this situation was not a issue for Mr. Tormey. He broke down the complex parts of the contract and explained each one to me. This allowed me to make an informed decision as to how I wanted each part to be written. In a complex world having an advocate is very important. Mr. Tormey was that advocate. I believe I got the most favorable contract for my situation.

Someone called me and said that a person I know had a plan to cheat me and others. They said someone who was in a position to do something was too intimidated to do anything to stop it. I said I would take action.
I needed a lawyer in NYC, and through Avvo I found Laura Lattman. I looked at her website, and liked her progressive values.
I called Laura, she listened. She explained why it was unlikely that the person who wanted to cheat would be able to carry out their scheme. It turned out she knew someone at another law firm, a trustworthy person who would have information about the situation. She talked to them, they told her nothing like what I heard was going on, and gave her a relevant document their firm had. She also got them to agree to send me updated versions in the future. Laura looked up another document from public records, and saw that things were being handled in a normal manner.
Laura explained to me how things work, which was very helpful. Then she said I didn't need her anymore. Now I can ask for the updated report directly. Great service.

We feel it is important to not only have someone who is great professionally, but also to have someone who will be able to understand you as an individual. Every meeting with Laura was informative and we were kept up-to-date with every stage of our case. She was available for us when we needed her and helped us understand everything we needed to provide as well as to expect. The most important factor was that for our case, Laura ensured we were always over-prepared and one-step ahead so that we were ready for any situation. That is what you want from your lawyer. Ms. Lattman agreed to handle the petition for my husband's green card after we had been told by another lawyer that our case lacked sufficient evidence of co-habitation, and was too complicated to handle. Ms. Lattman was confident that we could demonstrate our bona fide marriage by alternate forms of documentation and was confident from the start that she could handle our case.
She personally drafted letters and affadavits in order to strengthen our petition, oversaw the compiling of seeming endless papers we presented as personal evidence such as photos, bills, letters, etc. She handled all of the "dirty work" herself, making copies, filling in our applications, handling our USCIS payments, preparing our case, in an incredibly efficient manner. Phone calls were answered promptly, and she dedicated time to each call, detail to each e-mail, and dispelled for us much of the myth and misinformation surrounding the immigration process.
We were able to reach Laura whenever we had a question, or whenever I felt overwhelmed by the process. The most outstanding quality of her service was her immediate response to my calls and e-mails; She handled each problem and question with a great degree of confidence and compassion.
Needless to say, our petition resulted in my husband's receiving his green card with no problem, almost four months after she submitted the application to USCIS. The complications of our case were related to our job, where we move two to three times a year, therefore changing USCIS jurisdictions. Laura handled the paperwork relating to transfering the case, which we had been informed by another attorney was too complicated.
We had been overwhelmed by other lawyer's prices, and Laura's fees were almost half of what we had been quoted when we were "shopping" for an immigration attorney.
In short, we have Laura Lattman to thank for my husband's green card, and will not hesitate to recommend her to our friends and co-workers, and to call her in the future.

Many business owners rely on third parties to take care of everything, which I did, and Mr. Andolino was very forthright and pointed out all the things I had done wrong or had not done over the years.
For example, his firm prepared paperwork for a Joint tenancy with rights of survivorship to protect my wife. Set up the paperwork to transfer property upon death without going through probate. His firm also completed the paperwork to reduce future estate taxes through exclusions. That was only the work for my personal estate; his firm also handed all the paperwork that needed to be filed for my business and partnership.
Sometimes it pays to get a second set of eyes to go over your financial documents and see what was missed and Joseph Andolino and Associates did an outstanding job.

I hired Mr. Hollinger to secure Guardianship for my special needs son. From start to finish he was extremely professional, capable, and thorough. While the attorney ad litem was in agreement, our case was met with resistance from the court investigator. That opposition was swiftly snuffed out during the proceedings. Mr. Hollinger was able to obtain powerful affidavits from my son's high school STARS teacher and the Senior Attorney at his medical facility (hospital) that, along with other compelling evidence, made it very clear that a full Guardianship was the only viable verdict.

I couldn't be happier with the experience of putting my trust together with Duffy Palmer’s firm. I found the firm to be knowledgeable, responsive, professional, and thorough. His firm answered all of my questions promptly and anticipated most of them. Although trusts can be complicated the firm process and knowledge crisply led me through the steps while addressing my specific needs. I never felt rushed as I determined our best options. Duffy Palmer was the attorney but the support staff all contributed to the effort. The trust process doesn't end with writing documents. The funding phase where your legal entities are transferred to the trust was also clearly defined. I was provided a package with detailed instructions, forms, and a discussion to answer any questions. I engaged Duffy Palmer to prepare my estate plan after attending his estate planning seminar held at Manning’s Restaurant in April 2019. I was very impressed by his professionalism, breadth of knowledge, ability to answer the attendees’ questions, and pleasant and friendly demeanor. During our initial conference, he explained all aspects of the plan which was tailored to my specific financial needs, and made plenty of time available for addressing my questions and concerns. Everything we discussed was in clear, easy to understand language. He drafted the documents promptly, and after incorporating some minor changes, we met again for review and sign-off. In our final meeting, he turned over the completed official plan in a binder, and went over the additional steps I would need to take to complete the process, all of which were clearly documented in a checklist included in the package.
I also reached out to Duffy recently for advice on purchasing a long-term care policy. He researched and provided me with very thorough responses to my questions about how tax-qualified and partnership long- term care benefits are addressed in North Carolina estate and Medicaid law, and his advice was instrumental in my decision on which type of policy to obtain.
Duffy has impressive expertise in estate law and is extremely pleasant to work with. I highly recommend his services.

Contacted Scott Eggleston to prepare documents necessary for estate planning for my wife and myself. These included will, health care power of attorney, durable power of attorney and living will. Mr. Eggleston conducted a thorough interview, explained the purpose and need for the various documents and what they accomplish. My wife and I never felt rushed or that our questions were foolish.
The time from our meeting to being provided with our documents was extremely short. Charges for services were very reasonable.

I was going in for surgery in a week, and I asked Jennifer if she could complete it before the surgery...and she delivered! Within days, she had the first drafts ready for me to review. When my sister who lived in the Seattle area was diagnosed with terminal cancer, I called a friend who recommended Jennifer to do the estate planning that was needed as soon as possible. As a member of the Brunswick County Board of Education we had to do a search and hire for the School Board lawyer in the mid 90's. I engaged Jim after a major investment firm froze all of my father’s assets, and subsequently the assets that I had with the firm as well. At 100 years of age my father had finally begun to succumb to a number of health issues. With diminished capacity as well as significant memory issues, he was declared incompetent. It was a very tough time for the family as you can imagine. My father had a revocable trust in place, and had removed the major investment firm as successor trustee the year before. The investment firm chose to ignore the provisions of the trust, and was not only cavalier about their actions but became virtually non-responsive. Jim engaged directly with the firm’s General Counsel and very appropriately got straight to the matter. Jim also engaged other members of his firm to assist, Christian Perrin specifically, and together they provided our family with excellent counsel and resolved all matters. The investment firm made things very complicated, but Jim resolved matters within 45 days. Jim’s approach was measured and extremely professional. His firm operates as a team, and we felt extremely well represented. Another member of the family is now likely to use their services for estate planning as well. I highly recommend Jim and the firm.

My family and I called on Jim 5 years ago to assist us in entering into a Guardianship for our brother, who was deemed medically and legally an Incompetent. At the time of her employment with Wells Fargo, Shaida Horner was assigned to work with me as co-executors of a family member's estate.
