I got into some commercial driving trouble in DC. This threatened my job and I was in need of good help. I contacted Price Benowitz and Koria Stanton was assigned to my case. He started off with a big smile and hello to me and my granddaughter. he came to my home. He gave me a second chance when it came to my broken heart. My firm was experiencing a major expense reduction and my position was to be eliminated. There was a meaningful discrepancy between what I believed the firm's obligations were to me and the firm believed their obligations to be relative to severance. Andrea M. Ewart, Esq. deserves the highest rating on a scale. We were in very desperate situation when our container with household belongings had been detained by US customs and our previous verbal communications with no less than three (customs, freight forwarders & inspection facility) separate groups worsened the situation. It was a real change when Andrea took our case. Andrea is extremely wise and brilliant. She managed nothing short of a miracle with our container. Our estimation of charges without her are conservative at four times the bill we ended with. It’s a frightful experience with little sleep when everything you own is in limbo (almost 40 days) and getting no answers. As Permanent Residents for over five years, my sister and I finally decided that it was time to for us apply for U.S. Citizenship by submitting Naturalization applications (N-400) to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). We filed an I130 for my mother and we received a request for additional evident from USCIS. So, we decided to contact Mr. Taylor by hiring him as our layer. What's interesting is, I was using an IP attorney that was recommended later to find out that they were more about making money than providing a sound service. However, I was trying to find out some information regarding trademark abandonment. Through my search, I stumbled onto an article that explained abandonment thoroughly which after reading I then wanted to find out who wrote it. Once I found the source I then googled Michael to find out that he also wrote some other interesting articles in regards to Trademarking/Branding. After I read more of his articles showed me that he was very knowledgeable about IP law and that he didn't mind sharing information. I realized that he could be a great candidate for representing my business for trademarking. I had some other attorneys lined up to converse with about Trademarking, however once I called Michael and we spoke I knew that I had found the right attorney. On top of being patient and a good listener, he had very good communication skills. Michael and his team are hardworking and very responsive and must say that I'm happy that I found him to represent me. I also highly recommend him to others seeking an IP attorney.

I decided to request a reasonable accommodation at my job as a result of a health issue that occurred earlier this year. However, based on interactions with my federal agency concerning a separate issue that I tried unsuccessfully to handle myself last year, I knew I needed to hire an attorney this time.
Courtney was very knowledgeable about the reasonable accommodation process and provided excellent advice regarding how I should respond to my agency's requests for information. In addition she was quick to answer my emails and phone calls which helped alleviate a large part of the stress I had waiting for my agency to render a decision.
Ultimately I was granted my reasonable accommodation request but I firmly believe that I would not have been successful if I hadn't retained Courtney as an attorney to assist me with navigating the process.

I hired Jim after a very detailed and thorough consultation, and after having consulted with other attorneys it was clear that Jim had the best level of understanding the nuances of my complex case. As a former political appointee at an old government agency, we are often conditioned that have no rights as we "work at the pleasure of the President". I received the reference for Attorney Jim Eisenmann following notice that post retirement from federal service I was being investigated. Since I had almost no information or context regarding this investigation there was little information that I could provide during my consult with Jim. Jim skillfully steered me to what I did know or suspected and based on that information he was able to extrapolate possible scenarios. Having no previous experience in matters such as this, Jim took the time to explain the law, outlined in clear language the steps in the process. Jim was never formally my attorney, but he did provide me with legal consultation when I had some questions. He was very thoughtful and interested in providing the right guidance. He felt it wasn't necessary for him to be my attorney (I just had some questions), so it was clear he was trying to provide only the most helpful consultation and nothing more. I felt Jim was genuinely looking to help without the unnecessary time, tasks, fees, etc.. I felt I could trust Jim (and I spoke with another attorney whom I did not get that sense from). In the past couple of years, I have had occasion to use Ms. Steinbach for a number of legal matters, most recently, to file a lawsuit against a builder for faulty construction and the resulting damages. She's very good at what she does -- knowledgeable about the law, driven, and very results-oriented. In addition to her knowledge and expertise, what most impresses me about Shirley is her professional demeanor and temperament. Lawyers who are all "fire and brimstone I-was-born-a-pitbull-and-will-fight-for-you (for an appropriate fee!)" are, in my experience, a dime-a-dozen (especially in DC), and often do more harm than good (polarizing/entrenching opposing sides, etc). Shirley takes the opposite approach. She's extremely level-headed and calm, even in highly contentious situations. In the litigation mentioned above, at the mediation phase, Shirley persuaded the builder to pay for over 90% of the costs of all the necessary repairs -- a far better outcome than I went into the proceedings expecting; there's no way we would have gotten to a positive outcome like this with a more contentious approach to the litigation strategy. I was initially referred to Hassan by his former colleagues at the firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. I had been apprehensive about moving forward with a lawsuit, as I was presently under much stress and lacked the time or energy to become embroiled in protracted, combative litigation. However, after several meetings with Hassan, I began to feel more confident about my case, and very comfortable with Hassan taking the lead.
As we developed our legal strategy and prepared for mediation, Hassan involved me in every aspect of the matter, keeping me apprised of each detail in a timely manner. He was willing to use every resource at his disposal to further strengthen our position. Perhaps most significantly, however, he listened to and valued my opinions, concerns and thoughts. I felt that we were very much working as a team, making decisions together.
During our mediation with the defendants, Hassan was persuasive, aggressive and creative, often resorting to non-legal arguments. Ms. Phillips was my lawyer when I was charged with some violent felonies. She looks like a nice lady (and she is) but she's a tough dedicated fighter and will protect you no matter what.
It was easy to get in touch and trust her. She reminded me of my court dates and worked with my employer to explain dates and why I had to go to therapy every week so I wouldn't lose my job.
She got a good plea but I wanted to go to trial and she supported me 100%. I was found not guilty of all the charges.
Ms. Phillips isn't cheap but she's worth every penny!
