My wife and I are parents to a special needs child. We have a long history of partnering with the administrators in the school district and the special education teachers at the school. Despite this an inexperienced teacher, with little knowledge of the history, filed a DCFS report on us over a story our child told. Although the school district and the experienced teachers supported my wife and I, as required by law, we would have to go through a full DCFS investigation. A friend with knowledge of the DCFS pointed us in the direction of Marie Taraska, whom we hired after an initial consultation. Maire walked us through the entire DCFS process and was there for us from start to finish. Marie’s knowledge of the DCFS law and her experience working in the system not only gave confidence that our case would be resolved positively but also reaffirmed our belief in ourselves as parents. With Marie’s help our case was unfounded in short order. If you find yourself in our situation and facing a DCFS investigation, I highly recommend Marie Taraska. Do not have a friend who happens to be lawyer represent you and do not hire someone who doesn’t specialize in DCFS law. The DCFS is its own entity with its own rules and only a lawyer who knows this system like Marie can work fast and effectively to clear your name and put the matter behind you.

Last April I worked for a school district in the south suburbs and was assigned as a monitor for a special needs child. To no fault of her own, the child was combative and had a flight response and would stop at nothing to get out of her seat belts while the bus was moving. While trying to keep her in her safety restraints, I was falsely accused of slapping the child. Naturally, I was terrified and felt helpless. I hired Marie to represent me through the criminal investigation. She was outstanding in her handling of the situation. Her instincts as a former prosecutor helped her to understand the minds of the people who were trying to form a case against me. She used her former experience to guide me every step of the way. After 4 long months I have been 100% exhonerated from any wrong doing. I can not say enough how much Marie's expertise got me through this nightmare.

In the course of a recent custody dispute, false accusations of emotional abuse to my son were made against me to DFCS. Marie Taraska is an outstanding and professional attorney who not only defended me at trial, but investigated the matter to find evidence to prove my innocence. Marie did an outstanding job questioning and cross examining the witnesses to show the information which was used to indicate me was false. Marie proved in court that the individual who called the hotline was dishonest. Marie won my case. Not only was my indication expunged but so was my character! I would highly recommend Marie Taraska if you have been wrongfully accused by anyone!

What began as a complicated,ugly divorce, turned into a successful, tolerable time in my life because of Greg Markwell! My lawyer Sonia.. since i got terminated from my job in July 2017. I have been looking for a lawyer who knows about ADA law. She’s the one perfection for my case! I filed eeo against my postmaster so they hired their lawyer and I got Sonia for eeo meeting. They talked through speaker. She did great job to understand whats going on and she knows a lot of ADA laws which they don’t know and decided to break the Ada laws so we got fought to get job back and I got job back! Thank you for being patient with me for 6 hours of meeting. Not only that, she can be your lawyer if you have any problem with anything with job, or anything you named it! I highly recommend you to get her! I will keep her on my list if i have any problem again.

First of all I want to thank God for guide me to immigration attorney Christine Contreras, getting the right attorney is not an easy task as you may know, specially when there are so many. Mrs. Contreras is very professional, knowledgeable and up to date with the constantly changing immigration laws and procedures, she handled my case which by the way was complicated because of my entry and stay in the U.S. I was basically banned from getting a change of status, I knew I needed to go through the provisional waiver applications process but I also knew my chances of getting approved were low, luckily Mrs. Contreras has a lot of experience in this field, she used everything she could find in my favor, always kept me informed and answer every question I had, she helped me every step of the way, I was seeing application after application being approved and prepared me for the big day, the interview with an immigration officer back in my country, everything ran smoothly. Jeremy is the lawyer for our condominium association. He fought extremely hard and long for us on a dispute with an owner that was trying to get around paying assessments by declaring bankruptcy. Jeremy kept us informed every step of the way and made sure the eventual eviction was carried out as quickly as possible. He made sure we understood all steps of the process. We now have the ability to receive assessment payments from the mortgage company and can put that debt behind us. He also keeps us up-to-date on cases that need to go to collections. Rima Kapitan represented me as a graduate student in an academic case. Rima takes the time to understand the details of your case and has an in-depth understanding of higher-education law. After an initial discussion of the problem I was relieved to find out that Rima concentrated her practice on representing faculty Rather than institutions. She was excellent at responding to attempts by university lawyers to bully and intimidate me, and in making sure that they respond to the concerns I raised. In the end, the settlemnet Rima negotiated for me was over twice the amount that the university originally offered.

I was in a very difficult situation with a triple net investment. I was lost and did not know how to get out of the situation. I was desperate. I live in California and the entity is in Collinsville, Illinois. I searched the Web for commercial attorneys in Illinois. I sent my background info to three. The minute I talked to Michelle I know she is the right attorney for me, She read everything I sent her and immediately explained to me her plan of action. We had major issues with the quality of our new roof and the customer service with the roofing contractor. We offered the contractor a discounted amount but he insisted on full price. So we contacted Michelle. She knew and understood the Illinois law to help us fight for what we deserved. Because of her tremendous knowledge, she put us at ease when the contractor threatened to put a lien on our house and explained how he was in the wrong. In addition, she was fantastic when contacting the shingles manufacturer which she succeeded in getting us a settlement from them. Highly recommend Michelle if you have any contractor issues.

I visited some friends at college in Macomb and unfortunately found myself in a situation with the police due to a situation my friend created and I then made worse with poor decision making. I was recently arrested and charged with a DUI. If I was to be found guilty and then convicted this would be my second DUI in 21 years. Needless to say I was very afraid of what was going to happen me. Lose my license, fines, jail time and loss of my job. I came across Mark Uteg's name on the internet and I was impressed with the reviews that were posted about him. I was very happy that I chose Mark to handle my case. He approached it in a very professional manner and prepared a solid case for my defense. He talked me through the entire process. After several court visits, he won my case for me. All the charges were dropped. I did not lose my license, I did not have any fines and I did not get a DUI. I have learned my lesson about driving after drinking so this will not happen to me again. When I hired Mr. Camic, I was depressed, hopeless, and scared. I was young, had already had two prior attorneys on my case, and had consulted upwards of 20, not really sure what to do to protect my rights and my future. Mr. Camic stood out in his understanding of relevant case law to my unusual situation that led to felony battery charges, and knowledge of the various parties in the system. From the initial consultation, it was clear that Mr. Camic wanted to work to help me get my life back on track, so I could pursue my life aspirations that I shared with him. On top of that, Mr. Camic was very realistic and honest about the handling of my case. He took the time to explain the pros and cons of different approaches, and broke things down in a way that I could understand and relate to. He always took the time to respond to my many questions and concerns as things progressed. Many attorneys who I talked to pushed going to trial, so they could in turn charge ridiculous rates. Mr. Camic is not one of those attorneys. His rate was extremely reasonable, and he truly had my best interests in mind. Mr. Camic has the ability to find the good in people, even when they are in bad situations; and by seeing the good in me, he was able to get me placed into a diversion program. I will soon be able to have all of the charges against me dismissed and expunged, which will be a huge weight off my shoulders, as I build my career and my life. My future is bright, thanks to his hard work. EDIT: He has saved me again, cases expunged and I am left with no record whatsoever! Not only that, but he worked to get it done as quickly as possible, so I would not have to worry about anything negative lingering. David Camic gave me so much hope. David Camic has been my “go to guy” for everything related to traffic and criminal cases. Camic has handled Felony Drug cases, minor and major traffic cases, misdemeanors and a few other criminal felony case for me. He’s always taken the time to go over all my options with every case and charge and I love how he doesn’t sugar coat anything and tells you exactly like it is. David Camic was fantastic! In illinois, a third dui is a felony. Somehow, he got it reduced to a misdemeanor!! I had to serve 45 days in the pokey but it was worth it to keep a felony off my record. I have no idea how he did it, but he did it. I sincerely thank you, Mr. Camic. My life is normal again!

I would like to say that Charles Nutley is a LAWYER with capital letters. I got pretty complicated case with multiple charges including battery, assault and trespassing. Charles met me before first court appearance and laid out the strategy that he had on his mind. When I approached the judge I knew inside me that everything is going to be ok, because of the confidence radiated by my attorney. The result is dismissal of all charges on FIRST COURT DATE! I have never seen anything like it in Rolling Meadows before. Thanks again for saving me from jail and restoring my honest name!

I hired Brandon Brown to defend me on an Animal Neglect charge. At our very first meeting I learned that Mr Brown is an honest and upfront person. He spoke with so much confidence. I hired Gene in December of 2017 to help with a slightly complicated class b criminal damage to property case. Taking the time to listen to all of my concerns and addressing them politely professionally and with compassion. (The latter a quality that can be quite hard to come by) Gene prepped me for all the things I needed to do to win my case and make the court appearances and even went out of the way to try to get it wrapped up sooner (yeah rights it was Dupage county still appreciated though). My experience/journey with Courtney Kelledes has been a pleasant and knowledgeable one. I contacted her for help with a years long ongoing situation which had been taken upon by other lawyers with no resolve. After explaining my situations and concerns she informed me that she would contact me after reviewing my info with her partners. I was contacted back shortly where she told me, while she could not make guarantees she and her partners did find merit in my cause, requests and ultimately my goal. From there Courtney laid out a precise step by step strategy with options for said steps. After that it was blast off as she went to work on my behave legally while thoroughly explaining steps, goals, expectations and timelines. She always kept an open ear to my concerns being that I had not had the best if not down right bad experience dealing with the various organizations in past attempts. Courtney always heard my voice and broke down said concerns with answers that I could understand as it applied to the law and my situation. She was always upfront as she pointed out the upside and possible downsides and always had a plan to address any and all possibilities. I appreciated Courtney’s patience with me as there were times due to the courts, law enforcement and past covid 19 fallout the results, while when realized were favorable, seemed to go beyond what would have been thought typical time wise which was frustrating but even then that’s when she showed her value and diligence as she never let department drag go without inquiry on my behalf. Today I made my final appearance at the Daley Center after nearly three years of court dates. Ava was by my side through it all, and I couldn’t recommend her with more appreciation and sincerity. She is fierce and intelligent as a lawyer, and someone you can trust. Her accomplishments speak for themselves, but beyond that is well known and admired by everyone at the courthouse, from the judges and prosecutors to the clerks and janitors.
