This place is such a disgrace to humanity. They are not willing to work with you on anything and are quick to get a court date. I’m a full time student and have 0 time for a job because of the specialty degree I am obtaining. I have lost faith in the good of people because of places like this. Remember, karma is real.

Asked them to hold off on trying to collect on a debt that I owe due to medical issues and also finding out I have stage 3a CKD (Kidney Disease) they said they won’t put it on hold! All they want is $800 well they ain’t getting it because I’m on social security for a reason. Looks like I’ll talk to an attorney to get them off my back because I don’t need the stress right now. If there was a zero star rating they would get it!

I've explained to Lincare I do not have their equipment. The house I was living in while I had the equipment was full of black mold back in 2020. They continued to bill my insurance company Medicaid knowing I could not use the equipment. I am disabled and I'm tired of being harassed by this attorney group and Lincare. The Lincare company here in my city has been told and came to my home. I do not have the concentrator or small concentrator. I have COPD, they questioned my medical condition. This is an incompetent company that's been sued due to over billing clients insurance company. I'm am contacting Medicaid today again, to let them know they kept billing Medicaid knowing I didn't have the equipment. You should be investigating Lincare billing Medicaid for equipment I couldn't use, even after reporting the situation to the Billing office. I will be contacting my state AG. I'll also be filing a complaint with the BBB and my family attorney. I've seen your reviews which the harassment needs to stop. Stop harassing and threatening elderly people who are disabled.

Spoke to a Stanly rivers. I didn't not know I had a loan from 6 years ago. When I tried to get more information from it, he was rude and took it as a refusal. When I asked to speak to a manager he said they were all busy and it was taken as a refusal again. I just wanted more information because I didn't know if it was a scam or if someone stole my identity. Called back spoke to Ashley and she was helpful.

He started off pretty good with my divorce, but things went down quickly. He was very unprofessional, did not do his job, and took it upon himself to belittle me on the stand. He didn’t fight for me or finish paperwork for divorce, he was very lazy. He dropped me as a client without any notice and immediately sued me. He was not willing to work with a payment plan. I had to hire a new attorney to finish the job. Would not recommend him at all.

I would not recommend Ross. He was never in the office when I called multiple times throughout the day. His secretary knows nothing about what's going on: like your phone number, what your bill is, and she doesn't make appointments. He seemed to want to do what he wanted and did not listen to me as a client. I had to fire him but still got stuck with a bill for which if it isn't paid in a timely manner a letter is sent to you that they will sue you if you don't pay. Better off retired.

He allowed me to believe that I shouldn't even try for primary custody. He had absolutely no concern for my rights, and gave me ZERO idea of what to expect. He told me to make a list of potential witnesses for court. He failed to mention that I was supposed to tell all those people to show up; I figured he'd tell me if I was. After all, I was paying him an obscene amount of money to work for ME. I found out the day before the hearing. I could only get one witness. My ex's attorney *insinuated* that my witness and I were in a romantic relationship (untrue!), and the judge threw out my witness's testimony. Ross did NOTHING. After I lost residential custody, he looked at me and said, "Well, that's how it goes." before walking away from me. That was it!!

2014 I hired with cash money to help me get my daughter back. I was falsely accused of dmv by my daughters mother. Which she had done one month earlier and 4 other times in another state. My entire life left my life just like that my mental health was never taken into account. Nor were the false accusations she told me take a plea and you can see your daughter quickly. So I did all I heard was see your daughter. Each day that passed was another first I missed with my child. She would continue a set court date back another 3-4 weeks I didn’t know at the time. As time passed I lost it all I started drinking lost my house so I claim my responsibility. I had out that she was on a state board about preventing dmv which is cool but don’t take my case unless you believed me. You allowed her to take a place in a woman’s shelter pretending she could relate with those women. How many didn’t get in because my accuser was taking there spot. She could of done some good out of this situation. Once I found out I called her office and on the last day of the everything she withdrew leaving me there to defend myself. My daughter is being raised by a sadistic crazy person. And I don’t get to see my child except when her mom wants to use her to mess with my head then pull her back for years. I hope you read this ya I messed up failing ua’s but you never thought about what I was going through I lost the woman I thought I knew and I lost my world my daughter. The Alchol was the only one that would help me at that time. I needed you to believe in me more than anyone ever. I didn’t do it and my baby is gone. You quit on me you will never know the damage you helped cause. I hope maybe it might make you take another look at people and see it from their point of view

Miss Trimble was a court appointed attorney in 2002. She entered into a plea bargain with the county attorney in Wilson County Kansas without authorization. I was left incarcerated while they entered into a plea agreement in the judge's Chambers that I was not made aware of. The journal entry falsely states that I was present, in person, and through my attorney which I was not. She knew not to accept any deal that I would not accept anything. She unlawfully went behind my back and entered into a plea bargain. This lady is a crook. I will turn her into the BAR. Chickens coming home to roost.

My husband and I hired Ron when we were going through a custody issue with my step son. As I read the other comment reviews I was so shocked that I experienced the same thing and I am in 100% agreement with them. Ron comes with a great story, however, he is arrogant and prideful which unfortunately shows through his billing. He tried to bill us 10 yrs ago $350 for a 15 minute consultation. Reading his other reviews it looks like that his arrogance and pride has gone up to $500. Overall, he's not worth the money or the belittlement. Yes, he makes you feel stupid.

After paying the consult fee I hired Ron and went forward. After two months he had charged me outrageous fees for simply responding to the minimal emails of my case. I hired him for a focused, specific hearing but yet he charged me fees for being copied on emails relative to their parts of my case that were not relevant. I expressed concern multiple times to no avail, and then when I stood firm that I needed to cut him out of the irrelevant legal emails he told me he was withdrawing for "ethical" grounds. His story is good, but there's no merit or truth to it. Further, he tried to withdraw without a hearing and my approval, basically trying to skate out of appearing before the judge who eventually called him out for it. Lastly, he withdrew shortly before the hearing I hired him for and after I had spent enormous fees for him to prep for the hearing, leaving me without an attorney and starting over. He ran before the hearing because again, Ron sells an impression of knowledge but went yellow and ran before the hearing. He also directed me not to be on a call with the judge when I found out later i should have been, plus his advice was exactly the opposite of the judge's decision when I finally had the custody hearing. However, Ron walks away with $6,000 o fly money, mostly in "logistical fees", and left me with horrendously bad legal advice. If he responds to this it will simply be more spin. However, I am a very honest and fairly intelligent person that is stating the exact truth. You have been warned.

I hired Ronald to provide a consultation. $500 for one hour of his time. His paralegal required that I submit extensive background information in advance of our telephone consultation. My family law case involves an ex-spouse who abducted our child. When I asked Ronald about a strategic tact for handling the abduction he said that would be illegal and he said that by the tone of my question that I intended to carry forth the plan. This of course was not true. When I tried to ask him other questions about the case he was reluctant to answer any of the questions. Essentially, he shut down our consultation interview. I was not prepared to pay $500 for 20 minutes of Ronald's time and receive so little information. I had additional questions I wanted to ask later based on the information he provided in our brief consultation and I had at least 35 minutes of time left. When I tried to contact Ronald's law firm they ignored my requests but they certainly kept my money which they required to be paid in advance by credit card. I review Ronald with low marks and I question whether he should have taken $500 for approximately 20 minutes worth of questions. Ronald comes across as a judgemental, elitist, arrogant and unresponsive attorney based on my consultation with him. Ronald may, or may not, be a skilled attorney but by no means is he easy to work with and I found he is indulgent in how he assesses his fees based on my experience with him. In sum, I would not hire him to work for me.

Her knowledge of the law is so-so and she tends to drag cases out to get more money by continually claiming she needs more information. If you are looking for a lawyer with no Ethics that you just want to give money too then Amy is the lawyer for you. If you want a lawyer that has Ethics, will accomplish settling matters in the quickest most efficient way look somewhere else. I was embarrassed to have hired a lawyer who often acted like she was a teenager back in high school talking back to the teacher. No class and not professional.

Didn't help one bit or fight anything! She just agreed to what ever the other lawyer wanted! We would have been better off doing this without a lawyer. She said alimony in kansas is mandatory but I found a bunch of articles saying it is not and saying the guidelines for the other to not receive alimony. Amy then changed her story after we e mailed her the articles and said we have to pay because the court ordered it! Didn't try to fight it what so ever! Defiantly finding a new lawyer and starting all over again. Waste of time and money!!

This guy was appointed to be a lawyer for a client a year ago in Sedgwick County Case No 23 CV 321. Just a few weeks ago the appeal was dismissed, by the District Court, because Wells didn't docket the case in the Kansas Court of Appeals. What makes matters worse is his client had a new evidence/innocence claim that required appellate review. The other review about him on this page is spot on. This guy was licensed back in the late 60's. Why he has not been forced to retire is beyond me. Now his client will have to file an ineffective assistance of appellate counsel complaint against him. And hopefully a complaint to the office of the Disciplinary Administrator. If I could give him zero stars I would. Garbage.

Mr Wells was court appointed to represent me for an appeal. His "Communicating with Client" rating is one of the worst I've ever seen - so bad that I had to contact him to introduce myself, almost 4 weeks after he was appointed to handle my appeal. His only response came a week later, insisting that he will only communicate via regular mail and wanting me to explain why I thought my case should be appealed. I mailed him a list of 11 reasons and waited for him to reply so we could discuss the case. And I waited... Waited... And waited, but he never did reply. Instead I found out several months later that he filed the appeal, but I no idea what grounds he based the appeal on and he never answered any of my letters asking about my case or about any developments. The only other communications I received from him were 2 notices that the court granted motions from him to postpone deadlines because he was too busy with other cases to meet court deadlines for my appeal. He totally failed to give me any chance to review what he filed as grounds for the appeal, never let me see what his final brief or closing arguments were, and never gave me any more info about it. He didn't even bother to inform me that the court ruled against me; I only found out almost 2 MONTHS after the ruling because I saw a note about it on my county's district court website, published on their public access site several weeks after they made their ruling. I only know what grounds he filed for the appeal because I read the Appellate Court's final ruling rejecting the appeal, and he entirely half-assed it to the point where one could be forgiven for believing he intentionally botched the case. Due to his negligence, he caused me to completely miss my chance to challenge their ruling and continue my fight for justice. And to this day, over 18 MONTHS after the speakers case ruled against me, he still hasn't bothered to to tell me they ruled against me. In other words, he not only botched my case, but he also ruined my last chance to continue Fighting to clear my name. I don't know if he's just a very terrible lawyer, or a "legal assassin" appointed to intentionally wreck me case, but either way I would recommend not wasting any time or money with this lawyer.

Does not answer phone calls, or even return them. Poor communication, does not pursue anything you ask. Never once showed and itemized statement of where my money went. I saw the other review on Shawn and his firm Cordell and Cordell and it is spot on to my terrible experience. I kept hearing the ads on radio and TV about how Cordell and Cordell fought for the rights of the fathers---so thought I was "stepping up" from my previous attorney to hire this "credible" firm and was given Shawn as my attorney. He is NOT a trial lawyer---I needed someone to fight for me---not try to make friends with the court. He was worried about how things would be perceived and to not upset the Judge in my case and didn't advise me properly. He let my ex wife's attorney who was a basic Ambulance Chaser complete make a mockery of me and my situation. For prior attorney had it easy---I gave them all of the ammunition and knew what my ex would want and try to do ahead of time! We were always ready contemplating the next move. We didn't win---nobody wins in a divorce, but at least I came out with a judgment of Joint Physical custody. After hiring Shawn---I slowly lost everything including being able to see my kids based on a phony bunch or circumstances my ex dreamed up. Instead of taking it to them and bringing up some criminal past of the other person---he failed to submit the evidence saying that the judge would dismiss it and then we would be silently punished. I hope he can't sleep at night for what he failed to do. I couldn't stomach knowing that I failed to keep a custody situation with a good father in check with what the courts really want----joint custody. Instead now many years later we still have family issues because of how he didn't handle business. Cordell and Cordell should also be ashamed of themselves for how they milk people for all of their hard earned money and in return reduce what they once had with their family. It makes me sick as I type this out thinking back upon the darkest days of my family life. I plead with anyone reading this to make sure that neither Cordell and Cordell or specifically Shawn Riley are never entrusted with anything important in anyones life to defend ever again!

Simple fact I had 50/50 before and still had it when they where done. I am not a grug addict or abusive, they love to drag it out and get nothing decided . They did not defend me but told me we can not make the mother look bad all the while the ex's lawyers drug me through the mud and made me look like a monster and Mr Riley just kept it from looking like I was a murderer

The hiring procedures, were the usual letters and meetings with the ambiguous "I’ll put a call into the county attorney and see what I can figure out." If only the county attorney could have helped handling those matters then. All that time we could have cut to the chase; and saved lawyer Dan's negotiating forte, the lecture to, us HAYSEEDS by an appraiser and our own personal civics course dealing with county commissioners and planners etc. And maybe it was our (the clients) fault, to want an argument for a better purchase price, or delay for a skilled arbitrator and concessions on a 5th generation legacy property. We eventually informed lawyer Dan his services were no longer needed, payments in full were satisfied, and a lengthy period of time passed. After all was said and done the county had their way with us and our counselor. They did not raise one $ off counter offers from original estimate or other good consideration. What little if any remaining good will between the county planners, elected officials, us, the citizens, would have been better served saving our $ and not having representation.

Gregory Bell did not work very hard in my case. He had a rude attitude and acted like he did not like us from early on in our case. I would not ever recommend this attorney because he did not do anything to help our case (and actually did things to hurt it yet told us things were going well and we should get our children back) even though we were dealing with false allegations of abuse and due to his lack of working for us and doing nothing to help us we lost our children. If you want to pay someone a lot of money that will not go out of his way and you want to lose your case or your children then hire this attorney!

One of the worst experiences I've ever had dealing with another "professional." I hired Mr. Cassell and his firm Eron Law for what seemed like a simple task of sending a certified letter to another party to initiate a docket call. The call was scheduled for March 30th. When March 30th arrives and I hear nothing from the firm, I check in. Mr. Cassell seems caught totally off guard. He tells me the call didn't happen because the other party didn't get the certified letter "for some reason." This seemed extremely fishy. How often does a certified letter not get delivered locally? Why didn't he check in on this before now? Why didn't he let me know something might have been wrong. I ask to see the receipt for the letter that was allegedly mailed. Some time passes and I get an email reply telling me he can't show me a receipt. He tells me the runner lost it. This was followed by lots of excuses. He took no responsibility. When I spoke to the head of the firm, he told me the lawyers on his site are really just renting space and he couldn't do anything but he would discipline the runner. Assuming all this isn't just made up, why is the runner being disciplined when Joe Cassell, the guy getting paid $200/hr didn't bother to do even the minimal amount of supervision, management or follow up. They took my money and delivered no results. I feel scammed. Please avoid.

Hired to work through my divorce , was recommended by my counselor. Awful experience with him. When meeting with him he was rude and talked over me. My concerns and issues that I had were not considered. I saw a large number of cases on his desk and he looked overworked. When working through my divorce he openly bashed me to my ex's attorney which my kids heard. He refused to defend me and discriminated against me until I could not take it any longer and left him. In desperation, I asked him to stop my ex from moving my kids to another county. He did absolutely nothing to stop her from moving my children from their residence. She continued to let her walk all over me and would not defend me, but he was very quick to charge additional fees and time against me. I got hammered on my maintenance agreement because I used him. I finally ended up getting another attorney elsewhere to defend me and left him. If you learn anything, DO NOT HIRE HIM. You are asking for trouble.

I saw him for a parental termination case. Gave him $1000 retainer. He didn't know much about the law, took 2.5 hours to type up paper work most of which was what I gave him word for word. There was no extra research involved as to what would count for my case. Nor did he try to verify things that I told him I didn't know for sure. Just put them in the paperwork as facts. He didn't return calls or file when he said he would then sent me letter stating that my retainer was exhausted and wanted more before he would file.

Do not have Amy Coopman represent you. She represented me for my employment case and did no research into it beyond the information I provided her. When the time came for my deposition, she was completely unprepared. She was “surprised” by the questions the defense had given me. She then pressured me to settle for much less. In hindsight I wish I dropped her and found a new lawyer. Being involved in a court case is extremely stressful. Don’t be caught in my situation and find a different lawyer.

If you are in an abusive relationship in edwards County unfortunately you need to figure it out on your own because he doesn't consider the victims.
