We had been dealing with some back taxes for some time. We thought we had been taking care of it. Just before Christmas a IRS collection officer showed up at our door. We also had 2 years that had not been filed that we did not know about. After a few days of worry over Christmas weekend, I contacted the office of Robert Grossman, who Mr. Hatch works with. Mr Grossman called me back on Christmas day. He immediately started to put me fears at ease. Asked me to come to his office on the Tuesday after Christmas. The wife and I met with Mr. Hatch who went right to work on the problem within the first ten minutes of our meeting. A week later Mr Hatch had our issues wrapped up with the IRS. Did we owe the money to the IRS yes, but Mr Hatch made sure the amounts were correct and true. He also let the collections office know the stress they put on us because of the horrible holiday timing they had. As it turns out we were a training case for a newly hired collections employee. We have never hired a attorney before for anything but I would never hesitate a second to send anyone to these two men. They took the time to answer phone calls and let us pop in for quick 10 minute comfort or help sessions.

We recently updated our estate documents with Laury Macauley, Esq. We have had trusts for over four decades and have worked with a number of attorneys over the years. After moving to Reno Nevada, a community property state, we needed an update. We contacted a number of estate attorneys. Almost all had 60+ page boiler plate trust templates into which they inserted relevant individualized information but most of these bloated documents had information that does not and never will be relevant to us. Such large trusts are cumbersome and inefficient since during settlement, parties must read everything to be sure something important is not missed. We wanted a more personalized straightforward trust which eliminated all the bloat, unnecessary legal jargon, generation skipping wording, minor dependents, dependent trusts, etc. etc.
Laury agreed to work with us to accomplish what we wanted…estate documents relevant to our situation written in a straightforward manner. In the end our very comprehensive trust is 22 pages long. We found her to be bright, helpful, knowledgeable and ethical. She was among a very few lawyers willing to help us create what WE wanted rather than something off the shelf. This took extra time so the process did extend over 2 months but we are extremely pleased. We would definitely recommend Ms. Macauley without reservation to others.

My high-conflict Ex had Filed for Divorce just as the Pandemic started and we went on Lock-down. I had questions because I didn't know if I even needed a lawyer. First of all, I'm not a big fan of lawyers. When I got into a car accident coming home from California seeking out a lawyer was not even a considerstion. When I first saw a doctor April was whom my doctor referred me too. I was still skeptical.
Fast forward 9 months and having April Bonifatto on my side was absolutely the right decision. She is professional, caring, and has integrity in all she does. I would say we need more lawyers like April. But, if they were all like her I'd have to give up all of my lawyer jokes.
April put me at ease after our first call. She kept me updated throughout the process and always had what was best for me in her mind. Alex was dogged in her pursuit of my Green Card during the "Name Check" stall period 2006/7. During this time the INS were sitting on over 250,000 applications for Permanent Residence that had passed all the hurdles except the post 9/11 background check, "Name Check". The Federal Government "system" at that time was totally inadequate to deal with the volume and was causing delays and hardship to many. We were on the verge of taking the Federal Government to court when they relented and granted not only my Green Card, but also Permanent Resident status to thousands of others in the broken system. I know that Alex had been successful in court with other cases before mine and I had confidence that she would be successful for me, too. She will be dealing with my citizenship application shortly.

I had talked to three or four attorneys before being lucky enough to find Jherna. The first three or four were more interested in "fighting" to prolong the issue. I wanted to resolve it. Jherna tapped the brakes and told me to send her my rental lease. We had an issue with a commercial lease and she went above and beyond what I expected. It didn't end as I would have liked because the landlord was deliberately depositing our rent after the 5th to nullify the lease. They also had written what she called "the nastiest rental contract she'd ever seen". Later, she reviewed a "business interruption" insurance policy and said there were sections that were too vague that gave them a loophole. She advised I write an addendum closing these loopholes. I did and every insurance company after that refused to agree to those terms, meaning they were going to take my money but not cover any damages for "acts of god" "viruses" and "government shutdowns (9/11)".
