Seeking a divorce attorney was very challenging. I needed an attorney who could work with a complex process. My first attorney failed me - he declined to seek out a VITAL portion of my MSA! Frustrated and spent (one year of time and many dollars wasted), I declined to agree with the substandard MSA, and instead pushed myself to seek better representation.
After a long and scrutinizing search, I came across Mandy Caffee's office. I made a phone inquiry and felt very encouraged, so I drove the miles to meet her. Mandy was professional, organized, and kept me encouraged, even as I explained how my first attorney let me down. Mandy understood I lived a distance from her office, so she made sure I could communicate easily with her - she upheld this 110%!
After two years, and two attorneys (Mandy Caffee as my 2nd), my divorce was finalized. Mandy was professional, well organized, driven, and fierce. She validated my concerns, dug deep into a newer process (all while being open and honest with the progress), and made sure I wasn't walked on by my ex-spouse. I left the courtroom feeling confident in the new and well improved MSA , as well as my life moving forward. A 30-month legal nightmare of proving my innocence and residency came to an end on May 7, 2024. It was Attorney Donna Jean Kuchler and her team who believed and fought for me during this ordeal. I remember early on when Donna said, "We intend to mount a vigorous defense." I believed in her and she believed in me. There is no one I would trust more than Donna Kuchler and her law firm. They prepared for my court trial filing numerous motions to dismiss, including those that were sent to the Court of Appeals.
Together we fought the fight, ran the race, and I was found not guilty on all 7 felony charges and was fully acquitted by the judge in a court trial. I have my life back. My life is different but I am free.

I had an illegal stalking case in 2007, supposed to get probation, Redfield made an agreement with the DA, but the defendant went on the stand for about an hour & ended up screwed over & convicted.
I stopped in yesterday & spoke with Redfield, but didn't remember him making an agreement.
If she wouldn't have gone on the stand, would have gotten probation.
He is retiring at the end of this month & won't take new cases.

By far the best family law experience I have ever had. I have been battling a custody case for going on 7 years. If we're honest I didn't really have the money to hire an attorney and had been doing it on my own. Well in short I had a couple disgruntled ex gfs and a biased g.a.l. against me. Mr Redfield handled it all very well. I almost felt as if my case was the only case he was handling although I know that wasn't the case. The biggest thing for me was his compassion. He and I talked for hours and hours...all of which he didn't charge me extra money for, as has been my experience with most other lawyers. We discussed a price and he stuck to it. Which was HUGE for me, because if he wanted more money I probably would have been out of luck. In court (which ended up being a 3 day evidentiary hearing) he couldn't have examined/cross examined better. He and I had some different thoughts on the process but I put my trust in him seeing as he's the lawyer. He didn't let me or my son down. In fact he couldn't have done better. If you're dealing with a custody issue choose this guy. You won't regret it. Every man I know feels they don't have a chance in custody court, pick Jared Redfield and you won't feel that way anymore. The cards were against me going in. But he brought to light ALL the facts that really mattered and showed the court what a fathers love truly means. And against the g.a.l. recommendation the judge ruled for me to have primary placement and sole custody. Which is truly what is in my sons best interest. From me and my kids. THANK YOU Jared.

From the outset Jared was a true professional. I was entering into what became an extremely difficult divorce case which was further complicated by my loss of job and an opposing attorney that would say and do anything his client wished regardless of facts. Jared will listen and advise accordingly. His calming demeanor helped me when things were at there most difficult. Jared is compassionate and actively cared about me during the whole process. There were hard times for me personally and Jared was there to listen and give comforting expert guidance and a plan forward. After a hard fought case, Jared prevailed and won the case. I can’t say enough good things about Sean and his staff. I had a very messy divorce. I worked with another lawyer for seven months and he did very little for me except continually remind me that Wisconsin was a 50/50 state and that even though I brought significant assets into the marriage while my ex had, none, I earned about three times more during the marriage, and we were only married for a short time, I was going to have split everything 50/50 with him. He pressured me to agree to a very bad mediation deal.
Luckily, before having the judge finalize the mediation agreement, I came across Sean‘s reviews on Google. I wasn’t just looking at how many stars he was given but I read what people wrote about him. People repeatedly commented on his commitment, his dedication, and going the extra mile. I made an appointment for a consultation with Sean. Within the first five minutes of our meeting, he said, “Let me show you what the law actually says, I have had to educate other counsel and judges about this.” He printed off the actual law where it states that Wisconsin is a 50/50 state after consideration is made for the following items, which included length of marriage, what each brought into the marriage, and the length of the marriage.
After talking a little more, he asked why I didn’t have a restraining order and I told him that my previous lawyer told me it was 50/50 whether I would get it and that it would be inflammatory and work against me even though I felt very unsafe and threatened. Sean appeared very upset after hearing this, and disagreed, but continued to be professional and not bad mouth the other lawyer.
Sean was very brave about taking on my case this late in the game with a fast approaching court date and so much information to take in. Also, my ex hired a lawyer who I had heard said is the best divorce lawyer in La Crosse. I wholeheartedly disagree, because Sean definitely is the best.
I am still in awe of the commitment Sean made to helping me get a fair trial and a great outcome. I would see emails from him sent on weekends and in the middle of the nightat times. It was so reassuring to know he was on my side and so determined. He blocked out several days of his calendar so that he could familiarize himself with my huge stack of documents. As soon as I retained Sean as my attorney, I finally felt like I could relax and let him take care of it. I knew that no matter what happened with the results of the trial, I would be satisfied, because I had the best representation I could possibly have.
My hearing went on for two days. Sean was relentless in his effort to get me a fair trial and justice. In the end, the judge decided to divide the assets 80/20 in my favor. I did not get everything I wanted, but that never happens in court. It was about $70,000 that Sean saved me based on what my previous attorney was forecasting with a trial outcome.
In some ways, more importantly, Sean gave me the opportunity to tell my story and have it validated by the judge. He was so committed to making it clear that I tried so hard during the marriage and that my ex was dishonest and completely took advantage of me. It seemed that Sean felt a moral obligation to not let my ex take more from me and to have his greediness and dishonesty exposed.
I will also say that his staff was very friendly and hard-working. Sean went out of his way to try to save me money when he could by having me do some of the legwork if I wanted. He kept me consistently updated on status and promptly responded to all of my messages. Hopefully I will never need counsel again, but if I did, I would definitely retain Sean again. If it were possible to give him 10 stars, I would.

My ex boyfriend who had lived with me for 10 years wanted half of everything I had after he had already agreed on and cashed the $20,000 cashier check that I had given him for half of the home improvements he helped with. OUTSTANDING! is the One word that sums up working with Attorney Joseph Troy and the Habush, Habush and Rottier office in Appleton WI. My personal injury case involved a man in a hurry backing out of his driveway right in front of me as I’m riding on my bike. Needless to say this was a complicated case that involved two insurance companies, Medicare, and other parties. Joe and his team took care of every detail and were always available when needed. I originally went searching for a lawyer that would bring a voice to my wife's pain from her accident. A voice to my anger having to take off of work to talk to the manager of Enterprise because the insurance company pulled out of their agreement for our car rental. Or the piling medical bills we began to be faced with on top of our income. I found a video bio on Anthony Skemp whom among being a lawyer was a college coach on the side. His confidence and dedication is what suggested to me a man of morals and conviction. Our journey with Anthony took more than months and the only thing I can say is you get so much more than a lawyer with Tony. Hes truly educated but also passionate of the law. Many times myself and Tony clashed over principles and philosophies however each time Anthony took the time to break down how the law actually works something as someone outside the law would not understand like myself. Attorney Basler was recommended to me and shepherded me through a divroce. My divorce was lengthy and my ex wife tried to throw about everything she could at me. Attorney Basler was excellent in assisting in response and always stressed the long game. He was right, and in the end, his advice proved very correct and I ended up getting the better of my ex wife.
We never got to trial, thanks largely to Attorney Basler's work, thank heavens. Attorney Basler navigated the opposing attorney's legal onslaught excellently and through his and his assistant's professionalism, made opposing counsel and her firm look bush league.
In summary, extreme professionalism, mastery navigaton of tactics, and though it thankfully never came to it, I think Attorney Basler would have owned opposing council in a trial. Highly recommended.

Fair pricing. Excellent results. Hired them to represent me for a traffic violation with points. It was reduced down to a non moving violation with no points. I drive for a living so this is important to me. If I had taken off of work I would have lost wages and probably would not have gotten the same results. After my brother-In_law sat in MCJ for 18 months going through one incompetent PD after another I retained Mr. McClure. After all of the divorce dust has settled, I can't imagine having gone through this process without Sheila Romell. She provided me with excellent guidance and representation, and was always there to be my voice of reason amidst all of the emotions that often times occur during the divorce process. I am 100% certain that I faired better in this process having hired Sheila to represent me! The property division laws in Wisconsin can be unfair compared to some "at fault" states, in my opinion, and I truly believe Sheila protected me and my assets from an unfair or disproportionate division.
Some attorneys will stir the pot, or willingly fight over things, it seems. Not Sheila! On countless occasions, she reminded me that the "things" I wanted weren't always worth the cost of going after them, which I appreciated. Her goal always seemed to be the protection of my best interests, vs unnecessarily bantering with the opposing counsel in order to drive up a bill. That isn't to say that Sheila isn't a well respected attorney, or a fighter, if need be! She seemed to be very well known, and carried herself incredibly well.
Going into my "surprise" divorce, I was wondering how I could afford the legal fees, and whether I would come out in one piece. After the dust has settled, I now know that I couldn't afford NOT to hire Sheila, and am incredibly happy that I did!

Mr Walsh advised and assisted in the somewhat complex MEDICAID application process for my 88 year old Mother. I contacted Mr. Prusinski after being accused of a very serious crime. He walked me through an otherwise unfamiliar legal process that took nearly 3 years, ending in a trial where I was acquitted. One (of many) things I can appreciate about his guidance is his honesty. He didn’t sugarcoat anything. He also was extremely well at making sure I made the decisions in the case.

Almost 5 years ago, I went on FMLA and took a short medical leave from my job. My doctor told me that my job was protected and not to worry about missing work. To my surprise, when I returned to work, my employer abruptly changed my job duties and acted mad I had been gone. This was too much and I was an emotional mess. I tried fighting to get my job back to no avail. My sister suggested I call a lawyer. I called the only lawyer I knew in Wisconsin. I begged her for help and she gave me 2 lawyer's names her law firm referred individuals to for employment disputes. Both lawyers I called were awful! They wouldn't listen to my story for more than 5 minutes without cutting me off to say they would charge me to come in and meet with them. That's when I turned to Google and found Attorney Mihelich. I spoke with his secretary first (intake) and then received a call back that same week from Attorney Michelich. He gave me free advice for a meeting with HR and my boss. He also told me he hoped I didn't have to hire him. At the HR/boss meeting, company management ganged up on me and told me I was not a "team player" for complaining. I circled back to Attorney Michelich and within two weeks, my boss got fired, the HR manager resigned and I got a speedy confidential resolution to my problem without having to go to court. I was so impressed that as I moved onto other jobs, I refused to accept unfair treatment knowing that the Employer does not always win. If you're a Wisconsin employee with a dispute, let Attorney Mihelich take it on. You will most likely have to pay by the hour, but it's worth it for peace of mind from the idiots who run some of these companies.

I hired Bob as my attorney after working with him prior on what turned out to be a wrongful termination claim against my employer. For those who want to know, I was inspected at JFK Airport in New York City 20 years ago. When I finally decided to apply for my green card, I knew I needed the help of a lawyer because immigration laws and paper filings can be a daunting and stressful experience for most of us.
