I was a client of Randy for a child custody case. He assured us we had a shot, but when push came to shove he was not able to help us. He allowed the court to prolong our case for over a year and then made my husband agree to something that makes no sense. I would NOT recommend him for any child custody matters.

My grandmother passed away on February 23, 2021. Myself and my cousins are co-owners of her condo and hired him on March 10, 2021 to help with the sale of the condo.
It was listed and sold almost immediately for an all cash offer, however the courts were closed due to covid until June 2021. After this we received many excuses like his paralegal was out, his kids were home because of covid, etc.
He spoke to my mother primarily and has not once called myself/any siblings or cousins to discuss this with us. He repeatedly ignored calls asking for status. Then there was an issue with the title of the home and he stated he applied for a new one at the end of July.
We heard nothing until September 15, which was supposed to be the original closing date. The title was given again as an excuse to delay, and we were not notified of any delay until we spoke to our realtor on September 17th.
Months go by with no update. Finally on January 25, 2022 we went to his office to sign papers and were told this was the closing date. I inquired when we would receive our money and he was very evasive on what else he needed to do and when a check would come. I just kept hearing “pretty soon everything will be all set”.
We found out from our realtor a few weeks later that the condo still hadn’t closed, and it eventually did on February 24, 2022. My mother called the week after and he returned her call 3 days later saying he needed my grandmothers will, which was given to him in April 2021.
I called him on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. He said he had been working on paperwork for 3 days and it would be “a couple more days”. I pressed him to advise what else he needed to do specifically, and he was evasive again. He stated he needed 2 more business days and I told him I would call him Monday. I heard nothing.
Tuesday, March 22nd my mother spoke to him and he said we would need to come in and review/sign more things before we could receive checks. She said we would all come in right away, and he said it was better for us to come on Friday, March 25th. He did not call any of us to schedule anything.
I called today around 5 pm and left a voicemail asking when we would get our checks.
Today has been a month since closing. I have no idea when we will receive checks, or what else he actually needs to do before we can pick them up.
We have caught him in lies so many times, and I have never met someone so unprofessional or evasive. I would never recommend him to anyone, and am going to report him to the Bar Association, but hope that others who may hire him will see this and find someone better.

Do not waste your time on this man. He will blow smoke up your rear end the entire time he is dragging is feet in his disgusting office. Littered with files as far as the eye can see, it's no wonder he isn't able to finish a transaction on time. He doesn't know where anything is.
If you are looking for a lawyer who will communicate with you and anyone else involved in your case, do not bother with Richard. He is too high and mighty to speak to anyone lower than him (in our case realtors, mortgage brokers and their lawyers) therefore making it the clients job to do his job. He will still charge you though!! And then continue to make other other tragic and costly mistakes, prolonging the entire process and therefore making more money.
Richard is inept, uncommunicative, disorganized and will go out of his way to gaslight everyone he comes in contact with during his time with you to make it seem like its everyone else's fault. He does not take any responsibility for himself or the woman who works for him. He is full of excuses, lies and worst of all, a compete lack of understanding of the world of law.

Ms. Pezzino is the lawyer who met me at the lowest point of my life. She gave me the time in the day when nobody else would, she listened, she read previous denials in my case, she contacted my doctors, reviewed the records, spent hours and hours working on my appeal. We did not have much time left but she cared enough to spend time despite her own problems and issues and made sure to file an appeal on time. It took several years to fight back and forth but we were able to prevail. I can thank Ms. Melissa A. Pezzino enough for everything she sacrificed for my case. Thank you, MP, you are one of a kind. Highly recommend this lawyer to anyone looking for a good one.

Mr Gaughan was hired to represent me in court for recovery of rent & damages from a delinquent tenant. I was confident of my case, since all documents confirmed my position. The Rental Agreement, which the tenant signed, states that in the matter of any legal action, the prevailing party would be awarded all court fees, filing fees and attorney fees. The ruling was in my favor - Gaughan said "Say nothing! I'll get you your money!" He did not demand the monetary award I wanted, but deliberately orchestrated a LIEN. In addition, he garnished my bank account for his fees, which again were clearly and legally owed by the defeated defendant. I'm out more than $8000 in a matter of 3 hours! Now NY Erie County is foreclosing on this property - I won't see any of my $$$. For legal advice, Mr Gaughan is GONE!!
