I’m so glad I chose Josephia Law. I’ve been in divorce proceedings for over a year now. And every step of the way the people at Josephia Law have been prompt, professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable. The attorney on my case is Massa Massaquoi-King. I’m lucky to have her on my case. She is very knowledgeable and experienced. She’s also very attentive, I don’t have to explain things more than once and she will let me know the best way we should proceed.
Not only is she great at her job, she really cares. Up until recently, my wife was not allowing me to take my son to see my family without her. Recently at the merits hearing for my divorce case, Massa displayed her knowledge and experience in that courtroom. The judge gave an order so that I can spend more time with my son on a schedule. Coincidentally, outside the courtroom my 3 year old son was waiting for us to finish. I picked him up and my son and I both thanked Massa because it was going to be the first time he was going to be able to spend with me and my side of the family for the weekend. It was an emotional moment for all 3 of us outside that courtroom.

DON'T GET SCAMMED!
Before I signed on with this firm I talked to Ms Rouse and explained my financial situation. She assured me that I wouldn't have to constantly dump money into my trust (which was a lie). After giving them 10k with no results, they droped me because I couldn't afford to give them $2500 for an upcoming court date. I went with another lawyer who handled my case for $1500 with excellent results. When my new lawyer reviewed what was previously done, he found several documents were filed incorrectly and I was charged each time they had to resubmit them. Mass King is a joke! She showed up to a virtual hearing looking very unkept (with 6 month old box braids). I was embarrassed. There were several reviews about how this firm takes people money and literally drop them right before court. I wonder why you can't see them anymore......

Thank you Jenner Law for working expeditiously in presenting my late father's cause of death as a possible Camp Lejeune water contamination death. Turns out it was exactly that. Although the government worked slowly, Jenner stayed on top of it until we received our settlement. They made it easy for us, even though the topic was emotional. I appreciate not having to worry about funds until everything was over. It made this possible. Chelsea was so on top of things and answer every question, addressed any concerns, and did so in a very timely manner.

I was pretty hurt, scared and confused when it came to my case and the process of it. I had many questions and never felt like a burden. The team was always there to answer my questions and made me feel important and valued as a person. They always answered the phone or at least got back to me as quickly as possible. My wife and I had a very atypical CH7 case with multiple properties and other complications that, at first glance, made it look like our case wouldn't pass the presumption of abuse test. In fact, it failed when we used the supplied calculator. So going in I thought we might have to file a CH13.
Doug reviewed our situation and felt confident we could file a successful CH7. He expertly navigated the issues and helped us throughout the process, including amending the paperwork more than once as the case evolved, due to a very picky Trustee.
Ultimately we received our CH7 discharge and did not have to pay anything to the Trustee. We were as thrilled as two bankrupt people could be!
My advice: Be prepared. Help Doug help you. Have all of your financial information together, including how much is owed to which creditor, your assets, etc. and put your income and expenses in writing (we used a spreadsheet -- like I said, complicated case).

Douglas Gorius helped me in a very difficult time. Doug's knowledge of the laws coupled with his personality and compassion for those he helps was what gave me and my family the peace of mind we finally needed. Doug took over our case at the request of the courts since our previous attorney disappeared without any notice. Doug happen to be in court the day we were scheduled for a very difficult hearing in our case. We had no representation and no contact from the attorney we had hired. Doug was in court that day for his other clients, he was known not only by the judge, but by the trustee and many within the court room. Doug saw how distraught we were and when asked by the judge, he accepted the responsibility to represent us going forward. It is hard to explain what a relief it was to have Doug on our side. Doug met with us soon after that court appearance, he quickly came up to speed with our case which was almost 4 years old and in no time had our minds at ease, all of the proper paperwork filed on our behalf and walked us through the steps to ensure our case made it through to the final discharge.
Doug's knowledge of the law's pertaining to bankruptcy, his knowledge of the trustees and the court system make him one of the best in his field, in our opinion. Add to that his ability to relate to everyone and explain complex matters in such a way that you can understand them makes working with Doug very easy, even during a difficult time in your life.
I recommend Douglas Gorius without hesitation or reservation.
If I ever need legal guidance Douglas will be my first call.

The firm demonstrated a consistent lack of professionalism, failing to address client concerns with appropriate empathy or urgency. The attorney's abrupt termination of a client call was unacceptable. This firm's disregard for client input is egregious. I will not recommend this firm to anyone.

Mr.Rob is by far the best lawyer I’ve had to use for legal services! This family crisis was a big one for me & my family to get through but he professionally talked and lead our family every step of the way even when we were anxious and unsure he exuded in confidence what to expect and what the journey was going to look like! I will forever praise Mike Mastracci. Not only because of his ability as an attorney, but because he is an all-around amazing person. Let me explain....
I stumbled across Mike on Google 16 months ago. I am from Anne Arundel County, but I needed to find an attorney who could represent me in a (very) complicated custody matter in Worcester County. I had other consultations but once I spoke with Mike, I was no longer interested in using anyone else. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about the law, but his calm demeanor and laid-back personality immediately puts you at ease.
During my case, I learned that Mike has a unique ability to adapt to situations quickly and under stress. He has a very friendly demeanor that allows him to put others at ease while he works his magic, but do not let that fool you because when he needs to come out swinging, he is not afraid to.
My custody case was a unique one, but that didn't discourage Mike. Others I had spoken with thought the outcome I was seeking was impossible. Mike did not. From the very beginning, Mike believed in what I wanted and even though he made sure I had realistic short-term expectations, he stayed in the fight and was able to obtain an even better outcome than I had originally expected... one that ensured I can always prioritize my daughter's best interest. I truly believe that hiring Mike was the key factor in the success of my case.
I will also add that Mike and I were presented with a situation where I was able to see his integrity shine through. In a situation where many other attorneys would have gone back on their word, Mike did not. I won’t speak to the specifics of the situation, but even after I explained to him that I understood if he needed to go back on it, he refused to. His word meant more than anything, including money.

we had initial disagreement with Mr. Patel's office regarding the scheduling. Mr. Patel personally took the matter in hand, and now we just finished the consultation. If I have any immigration need or case to be filed future, it will be with Mr. Patel. I did lot of internet research about my immigration case and there were so many elements that were confusing, but Mr. Patel has reasonable explanation for how it works. First off let me say if you are looking for an attorney you have found him!
I’ve hired many attorneys in Maryland of the years and NOT ONE can compare to Ian Valkenet. He is honest, straight forward, and the most educated attorney in his field we’ve ever spoken to. Which was over a dozen for this particular case. Most of them even told my husband and I that there was nothing we could do that we were in the wrong. Deep down we knew that couldn’t possible be true. After speaking with Ian it was confirmed. There was something we could do. A lot actually and Ian was knocking them out like Muhammad Ali in the ring.
You don’t get that a lot anymore with attorneys. They tell you things and don’t follow through . Not Ian! If he says he’s doing something it’s done. This man knew our rights and was honest with us. We have been in a lawsuit since Feb 2023. From the day we met Ian for a consultation we knew that this man was who we needed. He knew the law in every aspect you can imagine. It was incredible we were actually looking forward to seeing him in trial. For pure satisfaction of seeing the defendants faces. 😂 This man won without having a trial which saved us money but it would’ve been epic to watch him in this case. If you hire him and get to see him in that courtroom it will be pure satisfaction. Even in our case for motions to dismiss he was incredible. When he speaks you listen he makes you feel safe like you can really sit back and not stress because you know he is protecting you. Because let’s face it anything that involves going to court can be stressful. Everything he told us happened without hesitation. His phone calls were prompt always on time, didn’t send someone else from his office to court. We’ve had that happen on many occasions with other firms. He understands the importance of his clients needs and wants. Breaks everything down for you and ensures you understand step by step. We really appreciated that too. extremely rude and condescending toward potential clients, cannot provide referrals. want to provide some clarification since the owner was bothered enough to reply. was looking for a firm to help under tenants rights this firm is listed under the second search result. contacted them and was met with a supposed arrogant lawyer who was extremely rude. have found a much friendlier firm since. i dont know what services this firm can offer definetly not customer service atleast.
