In April 2013 my wife called cops on me and I landed in jail on a Friday night. Kevin was contacted by my brother and he came to see me in jail and made me feel comfortable. He also secured my release on P.R. and I had an attorney at first appearance. Initially the redmond city prosecutor did not offer me plea deal because my wife was fully cooperating with them. However, Kevin stuck to his guns. After 6-8 months of protracted negotiations, he advised me to enter SOC. I thought we could be prosecutions case and prosecution thought they could prove their case, however; Kevin advised me to take a risk free approach and enter SOC. During this time my wife filed for divorce. I insisted that I be allowed to seek early dismissal after completion of SOC. After 8 months of protracted negotiations, even prosecutors didn't fight that. I completed my SOC in exactly 1 yr and 2 days. All throughout this time, prosecutor maintained a no contact order, hoping to catch me violating it. My divorce trial was barely 3-4 weeks away at the time of my SOC completion. I was able to convince the DV counselor at ABHC that i was not a threat to my wife, infact, I should never have been charged or made to go through DV class, then Kevin, Kevin moved lightening fast to seek dismissal of my case owing to early dismissal clause in SOC. He and I had to lean on the prosecutor and finally when it almost came to borderline of misconduct, the prosecutor after 1 week of service of proof of SOC completion, agreed to dismiss my case. About 2 weeks ahead of my divorce case, I got the dismissal order in my hand. All thanks and Kudos to Kevin. He is a true gentleman. He generally has good/civil relations with judges and prosecutors which certainly helped my case. In addition, he is extremely skilled at canvassing a witness and has tremendous people skills. Although we did not go to trial, I feel he gets a grasp of witness really quickly and will be a skilled cross examiner. He had really good idea of what my wife might say at trial and I had provided him with input on how to confront her. There was no other evidence against me except for her testimony, police statements and her cooperation with police and prosecutors. Kevin's conduct is also very ethical. There were other people whom he was defending had same court dates with me. Since I went to court almost 8-10 times, I saw Kevin's clients get much better deals than I had seen clients of other attorneys. I can assure you Kevin will get you a plea deal that will be in your best interest. I had told him, no conviction at any cost without a trial, not even on disorderly conduct and he accomplished just that an SOC, although everyone prefers complete dismissal. I believe this outcome was satisfactory and best achievable without a trial.

Kevin D. Tarvin was hired to defend me against the false charges of felony harassment filed by the known scam artist JC. His easy grace and inimitable integrity of character gave me confidence and insured the outcome of innocence on all counts. Tarvin kept me on track during an extremely stressful time after I was attacked by JC who filed her specious charges against me in an effort to cover for her alleged crime of fraud against me when it was discovered and consequently she was denied a legal document concerning my high end property, which she was attempting to rent in lieu of purchase. Tarvin also exposed the duplicitous nature of former attorneys Richard Llewellyn Jones and James W. Kovac who were both fired for gross negligence, incompetence and underhanded tactics. Through my investigations of JC I provided Tarvin with a five inch thick file indicating that JC had been involved with false accusations and criminal activity for numerous years against many other victims; the weight of this file alone was enough to make the compromised assistant district attorney, Julie Ann Mohr, drop her highly suspicious prosecution of me and the false charges were subsequently dismissed. Kevin informed me on two occasions that Jones/Kovac had compromised me; the first of which was when he had a conversation with Julie Mohr concerning the advances of Kovac /Jones to have me delivered up on a lesser charge of disorderly conduct instead of the felony harassment charge and again when he was approached by Jones who requested that Tarvin assist him in an upcoming mal-practice suit I'd filed against Jones; Tarvin refused Jones' entreaties. I was further charged, again falsely, for a violation of a no contact order by JC, but this time she had the willing efforts of two Kirkland Police Officers Jacob Thune and Christopher Packard who lifted language from an NCIC document rather than use the actual court order, of which I was falsely charged with violating. On this occasion the Prosecuting Attorney from Kirkland knowingly prosecuted me based on the fabricated evidence provided by the offending officers. The trial was heard by Judge Michael Lambo. I was pronounced innocent and exonerated on the false charge. The falsification of evidence by these two officers is a felony. The charges I brought against them were investigated by Lt. John Haslip of Kirkland Internal Affairs Division; in his opinion my charges were "unfounded" because the officers "believed" that the language they used was in the court order, but that neither officer had obtained the actual court order in direct conflict with standard procedure. The fact is that these officers did fabricate this evidence as researched by Tarvin and ironically verified by Haslip in his report needs to be addressed. This latter action was brilliantly researched and executed with intricate accuracy by Kevin D. Tarvin. Tarvin was paid a sum total of $12,750 for his efforts on my behalf. I am now ruined due to the specious and fraudulent efforts of a legal system gone mad and the easily discernible, but alleged false charges of a seemingly adroit sociopath, JC, who is now herself the subject of this same system due to my efforts to analyze her crimes and author the criminal complaint, which after a two year investigation by Hugo Torres the King County Prosecutor's Office has handed down a twelve count indictment for multiple fraud, first/second degree theft resulting in the recent arrest of JC in Kalispell, Montana. She is fighting extradition. JC had resisted arrest. I am the progenitor of the May 11th, 2011 Seattle Weekly front page feature titled "Home Wrecker", which was the first such public exposure to JC in the Seattle area shaming Assistant DA Julie Ann Mohr into backing down from her suspicious prosecution on behalf of JC.

Kevin represented me on a DUI case. I was given Kevin's information by referral, and after meeting with several different attorney's, I knew Kevin was the right attorney, immediately. I didn't have the easiest case in the world, as there was an accident involved, yet somehow Kevin talked his way into a reduced charge- Reckless Driving. It was a horrible experience, but Kevin eased through the process & made it as worry-free as possible. He is familiar with the courts and the judges, which helps. His fees were reasonable & he didn't make me feel like it was about the money, as many other attorney's did, he genuinely wanted to help. I highly recommend hiring Kevin for any matter.

Hire Natalie and her team! She is absolutely wonderful and you will not regret it for a second. She is thoughtful and communicative. Natalie took over my case from another attorney. My former attorney did not do a very good job communicating with me or giving my case the needed attention it deserved. Natalie was the polar opposite. She made sure I stayed update and did an excellent job getting my case caught up to speed.
For example, when I first came to Natalie, I had not been paid my monthly support payment in months. I was struggling to make ends meet. Natalie immediately filed a motion and dragged my ex into court. She got prompt payment from him and I was finally back on a path toward stability. Natalie was a real shark and made sure I was protected from the moment I hired her.
My case went to trial, and it was the same story from the moment I hired her. We triumphed at trial and got a great ruling from the judge.

I got an excellent divorce settlement. The attorney responsible was retired when the ex-husband began short-paying, late-paying and then not-paying spousal maintenance. My eml reminders and requests for pmt got creative excuses, unkept promises of pmt and then silence. NEEDED, an experienced, saavyattorney. A consultation with Kiona Gallup went well and I hired her. She listens to understand, appreciates the dearth of legal and backup documentation that I can/have provided, explains options, follows through and keeps me apprised. She has deployed a Judgment Agreed Order, negotiated Joint Escrow Instructions [for sale of home jointly-owned with the ex] and filed a Motion to Enforce with the court. And then a day before the hearing, she's conflicted herself out of the case. We had no one represent is during our hearing. Simple because it's impossible to find another laywer within one day. TRASH COMPANY, STAY AWAY!!! After initial consultation everything looked great and I was ready to move forward. They said they would reach out with engagement letter. Took them three weeks to get back to me so I decided to read the reviews and man I was wrong. Apparently they work like a turtle very slow with nothing to show for. Just a BIG SCAM. After hearing from them 3 weeks later I told them I am not moving forward. Now 6 months after that email they send me an invoice for the consultation for $330 and expect me to pay even through they did not disclose the cost of the consultation or make it clear that there was a fee even. Won’t be paying it of course. If it takes them weeks to send a engagement letter for a customer moving forward imagine what it would look like them doing any work for you.

I had consulted Nick George for a dui. He seemed friendly at first and eager to help me beat my case. He quoted me $3,000 for the whole case and I obliged. I’ve never gotten a DUI before and I had no idea what any of it would entail. As I was asking questions, he never thoroughly answered any of them but ensured me that he would help me out. By my first initial court date right before I would see the judge he told me we would be going for a deferred prosecution. He told me what to say and everything would be fine. I did what he said. He told me with a deferred prosecution I would have to take classes and do some meetings for a little while. Didn’t seem so bad. Unfortunately due to my nativity, I later found out that a deferred prosecution meant a five year probation program that was very strenuous, expensive and ultimately not worth it. Two years of treatment, two years of 12 step meetings, no alcohol for two years while being tested, monthly probation officer visits, ignition interlock, and five total years of active probation. I also found out that many DUI lawyers will do a deferred prosecution for much much much much much less than the $3,000 I paid nick george. By my next court date, he did not inform me that he would not be there to represent me, instead a colleague showed in his place. I understand though, sometimes you just can’t make it, but he didn’t even let me know beforehand. In between all this I would call Nick to ask questions and he was always short with me and acted frustrated that I had the audacity to call him in the first place. I would seek counsel elsewhere. Clearly, having me ask for a deferred prosecution was much easier than putting in the work to try and beat my case or at least get it amended. Would not recommend in any case.

In my opinion Nick George is only after money, I am what by law is called a Guaranior and I hired him for a criminal case against another party. After being paid very quickly Mr. George had stereotyped his own client by his race. He was fired as soon as possible, . I could not believe a defense lawyer would say that about his own client. I would not trust him as a criminal, civil and especially not an immigration lawyer. My advice is to learn as much as you can on a lawyer before hiring him.

If you are simply looking to make a plea bargain with the Prosecuting Attorney, than Mr. Wonder is a decent option. However, if you need an attorney to defend your innocence, challenge false allegations, nuance or simply be dependable, I’d highly recommend you look elsewhere. It’s not much better making a plea deal only to lose the benefit of the doubt for the rest of your life.

I contacted the BBB to submit a formal complaint regarding Mr. Wonder. He failed to notify me of the court hearing. He then tried to, and failed, to secure a 'make-up' hearing. I called his office several times, sent a couple of emails, only to be ghosted by him. My case was dismissed and the retainer, $5200, was lost. Such a disappointment.

Going through a divorce or any family court proceeding is difficult enough. Adding Pacific Northwest Family Law made it worse.
Had to ask for a continuance on our own motion because documents were not properly served to the other party. Even when the other party said IN COURT they received them and we could have moved forward that day, they failed to have the other party served with the strict reply that they had in their possession for 3 weeks prior and did not review (charged me for "reviewing" it anyway).
Received invoices for work that was either not completed or double billed. Still waiting on a refund 3 weeks after we agreed on charges to be refunded.
Poor communication from my lawyer, her first paralegal who was fired, her second paralegal, and even their main office. Take your business elsewhere.
$700/hr is ridiculous for this level of professionalism. Especially considering $500/hr is what my companies corporate lawyer charges and he's one of the top 5 in the state.

When people said it was a waste of time and money they’re not lying. They didn’t even do anything at all besides nickel and dime me for everything I had. Wasted 5 months and 2k just for what. For them to tell me “our Attroney and legal assistant are leaving the firm” honestly I wouldn’t recommend just a place looking for a sucker to pay them for a quick buck.
Edit: No misunderstanding I was robbed of almost $2000 just for a case that didn’t even go anywhere. Where there was no effort being made from the people who I hired to help me. They’ve double charge on the same date. And I have kept a recorded time stamp of my calls timing them. Just for the Attroney to give themself extra time to put money in their pockets… I have tried many of times to contact my “Attroney” and they haven’t once made a progress in my case and all they had to do was set up a court date because I had everything completed by myself. But yet the could send me a bill saying yeah we are charging you just for having us and not make a dent.. I want my money back.

Update: Business changed their response, again showing their true colors. See photo for original response. Initially, they reaponded with a rude and snide comment, but once faced with how terrible they are, they changed to this "confused" response, which doesnt even make sense and was clearly thrown together to cover up for their true attitude. They talk about free stuff, which i never mentioned either. Truth js, these people simply lie and maje things up, presumably the same way they practice law. Terrible people and very unethical.
Original review: Snide replies from the business to an honest review only shows their true colors. At no point did I ever ask for free legal advice. Again, the focus was only their fees and not my case, as is clearly evident in their childish response.
Only wants to discuss fees and what they need for 30 minute consultation. That's not a consultation. That's a fee scale.

Jeannette was hired to represent us in a dysfunctional and retaliatory school district, but her performance left my student without support and services and worse off before her awful legal advice. While she remained calm in the meeting, she proved ineffective in achieving our goals. Her follow-up recommendations had severely negative impacts on our child's education and mental health, surprising even the lawyer and advocate we consulted for damage control.
She lacked filter, making inappropriate and judgmental comments that blamed us for administrative failures. Her advice often seemed disconnected from the realities parents face in our district, and she discouraged us from pursuing necessary changes. Additionally, her part-time status led to slow responses, taking days to reply.
Jeannette works solo, lacking backup or oversight, which became problematic when her advice worsened our situation without any subsequent follow-up. Ultimately, we had to seek help elsewhere to mitigate the damage she caused.
While she may have been effective in the past, our experience with Jeannette has been overwhelmingly negative. Her outdated knowledge of current special education laws was evident, contributing to her detrimental legal advice, like not knowing or caring the burden of proof shifting to districts. We hoped for better support from a seasoned lawyer, but she failed to meet our expectations or demonstrate empathy toward our challenges.
Jeannette's inability to adapt, coupled with her damaging counsel, led to more problems than solutions for our family. We caution others to consider her recent track record and preparedness before seeking her services.

I met Jeannette 25 years ago when she helped y mother advocate for me when I was diagnosed with ADHD and the edmonds school district didnt want to do anything to help me be sucessful. If it hadnt been for her I would have never received services and never would have found success. Then 25 years later we hired her to help my son in the mukilteo school district with obtaining an IEP after the scholl refused to put him on one. We exhausted every effort we could trying to get the school to jell him and they refused. I even have a special education degree and could get nowhere with them. Found Jeannette again and our attorney this time to help son. She remembered me and my mother from 25 years ago and was willing to help. Let me tell you, if you want an attorney who the local school districts know her me and know she will not back down to their crap, well you meed Jeanette Cohen for your attorney. The minute they knew she was on board they scrambled like little ants to do what she asked for. It was a wonderful feeling and our family will appreciate her forever. Wouldn't recomend anyone else for an educational attorney but her!

I was referred to Jeanette by a generalist in a crisis situation. Some confusion and not optimal communication (plus the initial hand off) probably did not get the best result or leave me with a choice. That said, she was a bull dog 90% of the time on the resulting follow up. When she took my case, she said if it progressed beyond X date, she would refer me out. That referral did no go smoothly, but I am not at all clear it is on her. The referral was to finish the first matter which no one finished. The new firm that I hired dropped the ball on that and seemed to not understand or follow a path that led to my end goal in the second matter, which ended poorly. I am hoping Jeanette will come back and help close the first matter where she has already gotten some remarkable results in terms of getting OPSI to look hard at issues at highly unregulated private school. Hire Jeanette in a minute if she has time and attention to focus on your case for as long as needed

My case is very complicated. To sum it up a bit. I was buying my home but during the process they took my money but resold my home to a man who was running for city counsel in Benton city Washington. To say the least I was out gunned in this fight. But when Richard Pope began working on my case I finally felt like I had a fighting chance. I'm a single mom who could never have had a chance without Richard. He is so knowledgeable and he has impressed me at every turn. My elderly parents hired Rick for estate planning with myself as Trustee for the estate trust. After my mothers passing I discovered that Rick had set up numerous LLC's and a labyrinth trust web that was so complex for their meager estate it was laughable. also he had interjected himself into the trusts complexity so there was really no way out other than to keep him on through closing out the Estate. through out the process Rick appeared arrogant, overbearing, blustery and uncooperative. all there were many errors - one such instance was in his attempt to clear up a title matter related to my parents house he inadvertent recorded documents transferring the neighbors house into my parents name. the first words out of his month was I didn't feel comfortable doing that but that was what the title company told me to do .............. Rick Gregorek was almost prophetic in his care of my elderly father. He prepared everything, and I mean everything, ahead of time so Dad was completely prepared when the "Fly-Bys" showed up (distant relatives who contribute nothing, complain about everything, and swoop in at the end for the cash). Rick saw the red flags long before Dad or I did and he prepared Dad meticulously. There is no doubt that Dad would have ended up in a nursing home had Rick not been so diligent. We spent a lot of time selecting the right lawyer and it payed off. It was not just his knowledge of the law, but his understanding of human nature in all its forms that sets him apart. Rick over the last 4-5 years has been and continues to be instrumental in our estate planning process including establishing multiple Trust(s) and being a Trustee. He also helped us move a Trust to Washington State from a previous location within the US.
Rick is extremely knowledgeable and we have never felt uncomfortable with his suggestions and insight into the legal and moral values during the process. This is especially true regarding family and the special circumstances which at times may arise. He listens well taking into account each aspect one may bring to the table and will make every effort to explore and find a solution. Rick also brings expertise in the field of estate taxes and how to best address specific issues. If Rick does not know the answer he and his staff will make every effort to find one.
Rick is good with being responsive and keeping us informed. If we need to send a follow up inquiry to a question he will get back to us within the next 12 to 24 hours. I know he is busy!

TRASH COMPANY, STAY AWAY!!! After initial consultation everything looked great and I was ready to move forward. They said they would reach out with engagement letter. Took them three weeks to get back to me so I decided to read the reviews and man I was wrong. Apparently they work like a turtle very slow with nothing to show for. Just a BIG SCAM. After hearing from them 3 weeks later I told them I am not moving forward. Now 6 months after that email they send me an invoice for the consultation for $330 and expect me to pay even through they did not disclose the cost of the consultation or make it clear that there was a fee even. Won’t be paying it of course. If it takes them weeks to send a engagement letter for a customer moving forward imagine what it would look like them doing any work for you.

TRASH law firm , STAY AWAY!!! They are not professional , they just send bill for money, they did nothing for us, they are scam , we paid almost more than $10,000, but got nothing back. They never told us our case still active or closed either by mail (email) or phone. we regret to choose MDK Law in Bellevue. We wouldn't recommend this law firm to anyone else.
