The worst experience ever. I settled my civil case 5 months ago and still haven't got paid. It's so much bullshit with these guys idk how there still in business. I assume they just rob there clients. I'm about to file a formal complaint at this point. I had them for a criminal case before I got tricked into this civil case. They did literally nothing for the 10k I put up. So I demanded a receipt for everything they did on my case to justify 10k and when they couldn't itemize everything to that amount I ended up getting half my money back.

When I read the negative reviews I said no way, I was completely wrong!! Run away as fast as you can, incompetent does not describe these thieves. They want money before even speaking to you. If you ever heard an attorney joke it was written about this law firm, not sure you can even call them a law firm. If you read any of these reviews and still call them you have been warned. It can’t get worse. It’s sad that they are allowed to prey on people.

**TO THE GENTLEMAN BELOW ME, YOU SOUND LIKE YOU NEVER HAD A LAWYER BEFORE. IVE HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE MY FIRST TIME HAVING A LAWYER TOO**
This is my 3rd case with Neil. Neil is my first lawyer ever. I had the same experience my first time with him too. I’ve found that lawyers need to be left alone when working. If they need anything they will let you know. In the meantime, lawyers are processing your paperwork. This process of paperwork takes time because they’re court paperwork (takes time), insurance paperwork (takes time) and many many forms to fill out and give to numerous companies for authorizations to get information about the incident. Lawyers wait until said companies get back to them and their doing their own back and forth with other companies while trying to keep everything timely.
I just give Neil all of my info and sit back and wait 6 to 8 to sometimes 18 months until he tells me he has won my case. I check on him every 6 months with an email and get a quick reply with updated status. But for the most part Neil is like the Ronco Showtime Rotisserie Oven: JUST SET IT AND FORGET IT!!
Lol Neil is a great lawyer. I hope this helps future clients understand him. Let the man work. He only contacts you to give important info $$$$$$

This attorney was recommended to me by a friends mother. I later found out she received payment for the referral. I thought Neil was wonderful in our initial meeting. My vehicle was totaled and I was unable to work because of it. I really needed his help. I went to the doctors he sent me to and was told he knew them and they would be great for my case. After a substantial amount of time, I tried contacting him to see what the status of my case was. After numerous attempts, he called and berated me. I felt hopeless and needed help. I waited another six months. I called again, his staff kept telling me he was away. He simply wouldn't call me back or even send me a letter explaining what was happening. I finally sought another attorney and fired Neil. In the end he still received a good amount of money from my settlement. Needless to say, I was very unhappy with his performance and attitude.

I have required the services years ago to get custody of my young son at that time and recently for a divorce. I cannot recommend Alexandra Leichter and her offices more highly. Everyone in the office is great and did great work on my matter. Besides Ms. Leichter, her son Ariel Leichter-Maroko and her associates Jenna Charlotte Spatz and Preston Green all do fabulous work and as a client, you are privileged to be represented by any or all. In my case, Jenna really did a ton of work specifically on my behalf to be certain I was properly protected along with Ms Leichter herself.Their knowledge of the law and attention to detail are excellent.
I might add, that Ms. Leichter helped me get custody of my son at a young agenda was truly outstanding as a trial lawyer.

Don't go here unless you've got a pile of cash to blow through and don't care what it costs, and want it to take forever and be overly complicated. I'd give zero stars if I could.
I was (unfortunately) recommended this firm by my UCLA law school Family Law professor (I was in law school at the time; I'm now an attorney), to help me file for divorce.
My ex and I split amicably and didn't have any assets or kids, so it should have been easy. This firm waaaaay overcomplicated things and charged me thousands of dollars. I ended up retaining a different firm who got it done in less than 2 hours of attorney time, and for way way way less.
On top of that, this firm tried to charge me for work they did for a completely different client, and then even tried charging me interest on that work. I kept requesting a copy of my invoice, which they ignored and were rude about - only to finally notice the erroneous charges way later.
It's been a nightmare dealing with them and I wish I'd never been recommended. Go somewhere--anywhere--else.

This "attorney" really does not deserve any stars at all. He doesn't care about what you have to say or provide, as an attorney that should be the first thing you do for your clients. He lacks motivation and has no pride in what he does to represent you. He's too old to fight. Not aggressive "attorney" at all whatsoever. He just cared about his money and doesn't even bother to keep you updated nor informed on what's going on. He's always late to every court hearing and waits the last minute to tell you when court is, and goes into court like he just crawled out of bed. This guy fell asleep during court on multiple occasions, and incriminated the case more than what it was. He talks really loud, with no filter. I honestly think he needs to be looked at VERY VERY closely by the state bar. He should NOT represent ANYONE AT ALL.

Mr Strauss is a top notch defense attorney. During trial my thoughts were "wow this man is like a seasoned prize fighter". He threw so many punches I lost count. His determination and preserverance awed me. The jury came back with a guilty verdict but new evidence was revealed and now the tables have turned and the judge is working with Mr Strauss to help set my ex husband free. I can tell you this with certainty that Mr. Srauss is a brawler and will fight to the end to set you free.

I hired Kelly Kilgore to represent me in court, he would never keep an appointment to see me always with an excuse or another and when I fired him, he kept 90% of the money for doing nothing, then I took him to arbitration and again he kept canceling and making excuses, now I am taking him to small claim court and reporting his fraud acts to the California Bar association.

Mr. Kilgore handled my sister's case. I love this Attorney because he showed so much love and compassion for his work as well as his clients. Many attorney's are in it for the money only and could really care less about the clients just as long as they win, but not Mr. Kilgore. He does this because he just love helping people. He is a real go getter and puts his all into what he do. And because I loved his work ethics so much I've even referred a close friend of the family to him and now he's handling her case. Thanks to Mr. Kilgore, my sister is Mary Thompson is out of prison after serving 17 years for which she was given 25 years but due to the fight in Mr. Kilgore and his determination and hard work, my sister is now free. Shortly after becoming a surviving spouse I retained Randy Leff at Erwin, Cohen & Jessup, (“ECJ”) as my legal counsel after a lengthy consultation.
There were negotiations Randy spearheaded that involved my accounting firm. Randy was representing me and my best interests.—So I thought when I wrote the previous review.
Fast forward to today. I learn that my accounting firm
was ALSO a client of Randy’s at Erwin, Cohen & Jessup during our high stakes negotiations. ECJ continues to represent what is now my former accounting firm. The accounting firm grosses 500 million dollars in yearly revenue.
I feel angry and sad.
Randy had a fiduciary duty to me as his client to disclose that there was a conflict of interest. Instead the most basic legal tenet was violated. Randy never made this required disclosure at the time I retained ECJ, one of the oldest and most experienced law firms in Beverly Hills. They know better.
I had doubts when the terms of the agreement were being negotiated involving the accounting firm. I had questions. Randy assured me that this was the best case scenario. It turns out that it was the best outcome for his client to have the issues “resolved”, to have me stop asking questions and move on.
I recently reviewed my invoices from ECJ. I was charged and billed for hours that Randy talked to my accounting firm. I was charged for Randy to talk to his other client.
Since the conflict of interest was recently brought to my attention I have reached out to Randy in writing. Silence. No response to acknowledge or remedy this situation has been obtained. I am a single mom. Randy prided himself in caring about the future of my family.
If this was the case he would respond to my communications and attempt to remedy this professional error and misjudgment. I look forward to working towards that resolution.

My case was referred to him through another attorney. $80,000.00 in medical bills, surgery, life-long pain and this lawyer holds my case for 20 months doing NOTHING and then without notice, tosses it back to the original attorney. Worse...the office is closed, the firm shut down, his website down and phones turned off. I track him down at another firm and he STILL acts like everything is on track. However, the original attorney, whom I had already left a message with, calls me while I am on the phone with him and tells me that in fact HE HAS DROPPED THE CASE!! What a cowardly way to handle a client!!!

Mr. Lampel was the kindest and most responsive lawyer id ever had. He got me granted full time custody of my daughter when I originally only had half of the time with her, and kept me up to date every step of the way. He was prompt, supportive, and very knowledgeable. He got the judge to side in my favor fairly quickly. I don't know what would have happened if I didn't hire him as my lawyer!

Mr. Lampel took a $3000 retainer and then became completely unresponsive to contact. His phone did not work. He was unaware of a court date coming up. He did not read court documents or correspondence. (As evidenced by what he wrote to me in emails ) When I was able to contact him by phone, his voice would fade in and out. "It's an old phone..." He said but he did not purchase a new one. Often, there was no one to answer his phone. There was no voice mail. The phone would just ring and ring. He was extremely friendly with the other party. This made me feel uncomfortable. You would think she had been paying him instead of me. He would not do as I asked. I asked to see the signature on a document as I am legally entitled to, he did not tell me it required a court order (or he did not know. "You can do that yourself at the courthouse", he said) and I wasted several hundred dollars coming to Los Angeles, getting a hotel for the night and being refused at the court house the next day. With an impending court date coming up and Mr. Lampel having no knowledge of my case, I was forced to get another attorney. Lampel did not file one piece of paper on my behalf for my $3000. When I changed attorneys, he had still not even informed the court that he was my attorney of record. I would receive documents on my case in the mail and be forced to fax them (at my further expense) to Lampels office. Although the opposing council sent copies to him as a courtesy, he apparently did not open or read them. Lampel wanted me to accept a dubious document as fact, would not facilitate the review of it and hung up on me when I asked him to do this. He wanted to take the course of least resistance (and work) on his part by accepting a questionable will without question when he had been hired for the precise reason of questioning that document.
I do not feel I could recommend him to anyone. He has not returned my fee. He has been the most disappointing hired person I have ever come in contact with.

Nearly 18 months into my case, a judge told him that he was shocked as to how he had mismanaged my case. He made mistakes on several different RFOs which he filed. In my opinion, he made agreements throughout the case that turned out to be not to my benefit. He made a major blunder in my final settlement agreement. Nearly 18 months into my case, he admitted that he never read my "Pre-nup Agreement". In my opinion, based on his negotiations, I'm pretty sure he also never read my "House Agreement". He tried to blame his mismanagement on everyone else but himself. One day, he even tried to blame me until his associate shut him down. In my opinion, due to his mismanagement, mistakes and inability to get the important things accomplished, I lost a tremendous amount of money in addition to the tremendous amount of fees he billed me. I got rid of him and had another firm finish my case. In my opinion he is the worst attorney I have ever worked with.

Mr. Friedman and his staff have dealt on my behalf without waiver, dealing with multiple frivolous and egregious filings from a malicious party and his disreputable representation. He not only protected my interests, he has obtained favorable decisions and even sanctions against the attorneys. Mr. Friedman is an attorney who fought hard for me and I have complete confidence in this firm.

Consulted with and hired Mr Keleti to help our company in a legal dispute. He gave me the overview, what was needed and timeline. Sent paperwork to him as requested. He agreed to start and said 8-10 hours unless it moves to court. He knew the timeline was super important to respond to the court yet he failed to get back to me and hurt our business. Big mistake to trust him. Very unprofessional for a lawyer and disappointing behavior.

If you’re facing a divorce with someone you believe may go to any lengths to unjustly destroy you in court, take everything from you, and/or do you feel the cards are stacked against you for any reason? Then Danielle Salice is who you want going to war for you, because she will give everything, she has into protecting you and getting you justice.
When I first met Ms. Salice, I was terrified, I felt so alone, afraid of what the future was going to hold. I was in a bad marriage, had recently been diagnosed with a health condition, and was in the beginning phases of my divorce. Without sharing too much detail, I shared a bit of my story with an online platform of a group of moms seeking advice. Ms. Salice was one of the fellow moms who reached out to me to offer support, but in no way did she appear to be seeking a client, but rather, she was simply being kind and compassionate. The mere fact that she was a Family Law Attorney didn’t even come into play until much later. When it became clear that I needed a lawyer, I didn’t even know she could represent me in my county, but on one of the scariest days of my life, I reached out to Ms. Salice in a panic unsure of what to do. This lawyer took our case and held on to it for 11 months. He NEVER followed up with us and every time we called to check on the case. He'd say he was working on it, It's on his desk... Every excuse in the book. Always asking rhetorical questions when I'd call. He'd alway end the call with I'll update you in a week. BS lawyer. He did NOTHING with our case. I went to another lawyer and in less then 6 months the case was done. One would think all BH lawyers are trust worthy. Think again! Please Stay away for Michael Kosloff!!

Michael Kosloff didn't file any paper work on my case for over a year, didn't keep me updated, didn't return my phone calls. The guy was a disaster. After I fried him, another attorney finished my divorce in less than two months.
Never, ever use this guy. He'll drag your case out. I suspect he just wants to increase the billable hours.
