Ms. Bassis is very responsive and super knowledgeable about the appeals process. I had some technical questions and she knew the codes and cases inside out. I spoke with several attorneys before her and she was the first to know the process in detail and who could answer my questions easily and with confidence. I've learned there are lots of details in an appeal that can make a significant difference in success and she knew those details. She worked hard on my case, and even when I thought we had lost she continued to fight. Ultimately, she left no stone unturned. Not only did she want to win as much as I did, she cared and it truly made a difference. You are in great hands with Ms. Bassis. What's more, she's just an overall nice person. Thanks!

I could not have asked for a more caring and knowledgeable Attorney. Ms. Bassis was trustworthy, knowledgeable and caring. Would highly recommend. She answered all questions from both me and my family and if she didn't know the answer she looked it up. She sent us copies of everything. She took our calls or called back immediately and wrote the most beautiful arguments that it made me want to cry. I wasn't in court for oral argument but I understand she stood up the the Judges and made a beautiful, impassioned argument. She knew the law, she knew the facts and she told them why I should not have been convicted. I truly believe she was successful because she was thorough and caring and that the outcome could have far different if my case been handled by a different lawyer. I was falsely accused of a crime that carried a life sentence. As a member of the military who served overseas, being falsely accused of a crime was something that I never expected to happen. It tore apart my beliefs in the system that I had fought so ardently to defend. I found Ms. Bassis through this site and ever since then my life has changed. Ms. Bassis is extremely good at what she does. She was supremely competent and knowledgeable. It allowed me to be confident and realistic about what was happening to me. My case was dismissed after Ms. Bassis appealed, something almost unheard of in Los Angeles County. The important thing to know here is that Ms. Bassis has single handedly given me my life back and showed me that the system does work and proven that she is an amazing person and an incredible lawyer. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their counsel.

I had a life altering accident, I interviewed many attorneys and ended up with the firm of Kiesel law. The staff has been amazing, my trial ended in November of 2019 and they are still hard at work for me today, as a matter of fact I spoke to Bryan yesterday about aspects of my trial that I never thought would be a part of this process. Bryan told me after the trial had ended "I will be working on this until you are completely satisfied" I have to say, he has exceeded my expectations and is still working on the fine details of my case.
I met Bryan first of the team and he was my point of contact leading up to the trial, I cannot thank Bryan enough for the countless hours working on my case, I know for a fact he had many nights away from his family, working on my case.

Back in 2006 I was charged for, first degree murder, second degree murder, and voluntary manslaughter. Winston Mckesson was my attorney on this case. In 2009 my trial was in action. I had a 5 months trial do to these charges.
When the jury went in for deliberations of 5 days. They came back with a hung jury. It took 2 weeks for the DA to refile on my case. This time the DA brought up first degree murder and second degree murder. 3 years later in February 2012 trial was on the way. A 5 month trial again.
Winston Mckesson, shown the lies of the cops, DNA evidence showed that I was stabbed and that I took a life in self defense. But the DA was able to bring back mansaulter. So, yes I did have to serve time.
Winston Mckesson, closing arguments was outstanding. I truly feel that Winston Mckesson did a great job. If not the system po c the DA would have given me life.
Winston Mckesson, was also able to take a capital case off the table.
One thing we all must know, the DA ane cops, plus the DA's will do anything to get a conviction.
But Winston Mckesson, was able to prove lies and inconsistencies to the jury.
I recommend Winston Mckesson, too those who are facing the same situation.

Mr Kevin Mckesson comes highly recommended. You think that the law is here to protect and serve you until you have a run in with the police, then the whole "innocent until proven guilty" is thrown out of the window. Once you feel the cold cuffs around your wrist , you kind of just feel hopeless. It's not like they tell you how long you're going in for. It was my first run in with the law and my good buddy called Kevin. Kevin went to work right away reducing my bail amount, and getting me out of jail. He got my case dismissed without having to go to trial. I highly recommend Kevin, thank you for your help.

I am 20 years old in legal trouble for the first time. It was one of the scariest moments of my life, an experience I will never forget or be able to take back. Unfortunately I found myself in need of an attorney, I had never been in trouble before, and was totally new to the whole process. So I asked around, and looked up attorneys. One of my coworkers had recently been arrested for a DUI and shockingly enough, that was what i was being charged with, so I asked him what he had done to take care of his problem. He went on to refer me to his attorney, Gary Brotman, he explained how great Gary had been during the whole process, how caring and how knowledgeable he was. To be honest, I wasnt really expecting all of it to be true, but to my surprise my coworker was dead on. Gary had my DUI dropped to a wet wreckless and during the whole process he was more than my attorney, he was there to answer all my questions and concerns. I did not have to appear to any of my court dates, he took care of everything!!!! I could not be happier, I hope I will never need him again, but if I do, I will definately be using him!!! Todd Bonder has served as my outside counsel for more than 10 years. We have worked on an extensive number of diverse matters together, and I (and the companies I have worked for) have always been thoroughly satisfied. Based on my experience, there are a number of large law firm litigators who are quick to run up hours and file cookie-cutter claims when they receive a new matter. Thankfully, that is not how Todd works.

Jason is an exceptional lawyer. His knowledge and attention to detail helped my case immensely. He used his past experience as a District Attorney to prepare me for the cross-examination in my trial. I called upon Raza of Margolin and Lawrence when things looked very grim for me coming up on trial for a felony DUI. I was referred by a close friend who had hired them. From the very first meeting I knew that I had found a great attorney. "I think the best way to rate is to detail my experience. I hope this review helps.
I'm an independent producer who, due to differences of opinions, had been inexcusably ousted from a project. I went above and beyond (the EP's words, not mine) in all areas; was on set where and when I could be, offered industry insight, assisted them with another production (for which I was made promises and they never followed through), introduced them to connections (for which they wouldn't have had otherwise), distribution (to which they snubbed their noses at), obtained pertinent info on an historic criminal case, info they never could have obtained on their own. That old adage "no good deed goes unpunished" well, does that ever ring true in my case.
Bottom lining it, I was in for a percentage of the proceeds. The EP's decided they were not going to honor our initial verbal agreement. I knew that if I wanted to see a dime, I needed an attorney.
I had spoken with various entertainment lawyers in L.A. and Michael came to me highly recommended by a manager who knows the business of "show" inside and out. He knows who's good, who's bad.
Michael and his team were, in a word, exceptional. Knowledgeable, skilled, always responsive (it's rare for an attorney to always be responsive!), always took the time to make sure I understood the intricate details, and why the case had to take the turn it did. My case was simplistic yet complicated; both defendants were, well, beyond words. I'll stop there.
So during discovery it came out that proceeds were so much lower than I had anticipated. Because the project turned out as it did technically (my opinions didn't matter despite being hired because of my expertise), and due to the inexperienced jacks of all trades/masters of nothing, there was hardly any return to speak of.
Or so the EP's have said. Ask me if I really buy that, I'll tell you no. Problem is proving it. But in the off-chance what they have claimed they made is true, then they were an utter failure.
I digressed; Michael and Paul were patient. They cared about the outcome. They guided me through the first trial; there was mediation at first and the proposed settlement was beyond a slap in the face. I'd have rather lost every penny at the judges hands than to settle with those two ignoramus'. Michael left me a voicemail while I was in court, he cared about what was happening. When I called him back, I told him what transpired. Additionally there was some paperwork that needed immediate attention. Although that trial was over, and we were then awaiting a verdict, Michael cared enough to take care of what needed taking care of. And we won!
So I guess one time in court wasn't humiliating enough to these two inept wanna-bees; yep, you guessed it! They filed an appeal. I then had the Kernan firm by my side in court; they were allowed to accompany me this time. And, we won again!
The satisfaction of having stellar representation, who is not only knowledgeable but professional, and can kill in court, that's sublime. For all I went through with an inexperienced, inadequate, irrational and highly unprofessional first-time "producers"- and I've worked with many over my 22 years in the industry- these two were the worst... and just to know that I had a competent, trustworthy, reliable and responsive team in the Kernan Law Firm- there are not enough great adjectives in our vocabulary to describe Michael, Paul and the whole team. If this thing went up to thousands of stars, the Kernan Law Firm would have that rating from me. I would use Mike and his team again in a heart beat.... and only Mike and his team. They're the best, (literally) bar none."

Initially, I started handling my worker's compensation case myself. Although I have almost two decades of case management in my professional background, this case was too close and personal and quite frankly, too exhausting to handle on my own. After loads of legal paperwork, as well as, the frustration of not receiving the appropriate rehabilitative care, I gave up trying to handle the case myself.

Dan spent 19 months aggressively and strategically working on my behalf. I was charged with felony hit and run and he utilized every angle to gain leverage to our advantage. His diligence in my case got the DA to finally offer up a plea deal I was happy with. In the end my felony hit and run charge was reduced to a misdemeanor with small fine, 90 (45) days’ work release, and 3 years of summary probation. As a result, I was not only able to keep my security clearance, but also keep my job with a leading military defense contractor. In addition I have a very good possibility of getting the misdemeanor charge expunged from my record entirely after only 1 year of probation.
