Teresa, Bella, Christina, and Nagelberg were very responsive to all my questions and concerns. They charge a less percentage compared to other attourneys . They hold your hand through the process but respect you by providing accurate information on your case and touching base. I would definitely reccomemd them to a family member or friend !

My family and I were very lucky that Michael was able to help us. I never experience any lawsuit but Michael made us feel at eased. Before meeting Michael, I had a couple consultations with other attorneys and their priority was money. Michael was not like that, he showed us he wanted to help. Mr. Glickman is a professional, he practices ethics violations in CA; he acted super invested in me, the client, even over himself, and honed in on case law that was imperative to my case. He was honest about the difficulties of my case due to a complexity issue unique of my case and didn’t try to bluff or gauge me for $ even though many another lawyers wouldn’t have been Ehtical like he is. A+ and I highly recommend his as competent and helpful. I have tried to call numerous lawyers that rudely don’t call back even after I take the time to call. Steve has great manners, is articulate, and if I could use him for trial I think compared to other attorneys out there he would be articulate, work hard, and be an amazing advocate for his client.

We (my son & I) can’t express the gratitude We have towards Jonathan in words (but, I’ll try)... He is kind and understanding. Goes above and beyond for his clients. Always there to take your call and address any and all concerns. Completely professional and ethical. I’ve had bad experiences with sleazy attorneys that do a 180 on you after your first encounter with them. Attorneys that don’t return your calls, inform you on your case, miss meetings. But, Jonathan is nothing like that, He takes the time to make you feel at ease, explain every step of the way, keeps you in the loop (even with the minor of things) which we appreciated so much! He’s knowledgeable, and looks out for the best interest of his clients. With optimal results and a good recovery. But, most importantly TRUSTWORTHY! We hired Jamra and Jamra for a volatile divorce and were super happy to have Michael Hanasab handle our case. There were lots of scary issues to contend with regarding child custody and allegations about unfairness in the divorce proceedings. Michael gave the best advice, although I wasn’t the best at following it, I did end up getting full custody of my children. I wish that all of this never happened but am very grateful to Michael for being the voice of reason. He was able to defend a lot of the unjust accusations and kept a calm demeanor throughout all of the drama. I was in a very stressful and critical phase of my divorce where I was being accused of some pretty untrue, but lethal things that could have caused me to not get the custody of my children I wanted and deserved. I hired Mike and he came in there and made the "clutch free-throws" when it counted. He responded perfectly to the opposing council. We ended up going to court and he walked in their looking highly polished and confident, not arrogant and made the opposing council so nervous, they had no choice but to back down and give me what was fair and reasonable.

I hired Michael (along with Grace Jamra) in 2011. I came over from another big firm as I had been disappointed with the direction of my ongoing custody case. At the time I hired Michael I was facing more litigation and hearings and an evaluation. Michael was able to talk to opposing counsel and made every attempt to calm the situation. He knew my case inside and out, was reachable when I needed him and guided me through some very tough times. When it came to the evaluation Michael was instrumental in helping to pick the right evaluator (something that took quite a while) and met with me on several occasions to answer any and all questions I had about the process. Needless to say, my case turned around and in the end Michael was able to get opposing party to settle (even though opposing party was adamant about fighting and going to trial).
As for cost, I had to laugh at the negative review here. I was charged triple that amount at my previous firm in a matter of months. The billing with Michael @ Jamra & Jamra was incredibly fair and hugely different billing practices than some of the bigger firms. I never once felt I was being over billed or double/triple billed like I did at my previous big firm. Anyone who is going into custody litigation needs to do research and realize that it is an expensive area of law and the more litigation involved the higher the costs. I wouldn't think twice before recommending Michael to others if they needed a good and competent custody/divorce lawyer.

I am a litigator/trial lawyer with a law practice similar to James Vickman’s. I have come to know and admire him as a colleague up close. So when I needed to retain an attorney to represent me in my own lawsuit (as a plaintiff), I knew he was the right lawyer for me. We are now in the thick of litigation, and I have kept close tabs on the case. I can confidently say that I retained an advocate who is smart, conscientious, and very knowledgeable in the law. After I recently sat in on a deposition that he took of the defendant, I reported to my co-plaintiffs: "I attended almost the entire depo. Our lawyer did a masterful, thorough, hard-hitting job, getting great admissions. Could be the basis for a substantial punitive damages award. Three cheers for Jim!" Mr. Vickman is also highly ethical; it is clear he puts his clients' needs ahead of his own. Also notable is that he welcomes his clients’ input and collaboration, and is modest, never putting on airs. You won’t go wrong retaining Mr. Vickman.

Jim Vickman is a hero. In early 2014, a few years after my husband died, I found myself called upon to help my father-in-law alone and unable to care for himself. To me it was mess. I didn't know what to do until a five-minute phone conversation with an assisted living facility administrator led to the following exchange. "She: Do you have power of attorney? Me: No. She: Then you need to get that in place first. I suggest you call an attorney by the name of Jim Vickman." I never spoke with that administrator again. She was just the link to Jim who assured me he could help me. This all led to my becoming Dad's court-appointed conservator and allowed me to take care of him in the best possible way through the end of his life in 2015. Usman was stupendous, professional, courteous, honest, and cognizant from the start!
Given the many variables and complexity involved in forming a business entity, registering a trademark, registering a copyright, registering an EIN, determining whether a terms of usage and privacy policy agreement is required, and reviewing health disclaimers for an eBook, Usman was highly cooperative and responsive making me feel at ease.
He answered my comprehensive emails succinctly and thoroughly. He recommended a service called Markify for conducting additional trademark searches outside of USPTO's database.
He even went so far in responding very efficiently over the weekend, outside of business hours. That innate gesture is definitely praiseworthy and exceptional given time was not on my side nor was it for Usman. I needed answers quickly, even though I didn't explicitly mention these sentiments to him because that would be too impractical and idiotic. He understood my situation with all the nuances and did everything in my best interests to secure all the legal knots in a timely fashion without any hiccups.
When it came to billing, he was cognizant of keeping me abreast of the total hours he spent on specific tasks. Using LawTrades, he took the time out of his hectic schedule to list the estimated project fees including all fixed upfront costs for registering the business and his hourly review rate. His financial transparency gave me a pretty good cost picture of his services with no surprises!
Additionally, Usman telephonically walked me through the step-by-step instructions for obtaining an EIN for an LLC. That made the entire process seamless, saving me much valuable time.
All and all, I would highly recommend Usman if you're looking for an intellectual property lawyer, creating a legal entity for your business, reasonable legal fees, and state-of-the-art service.

A few months ago I was introduced to Mr. Mossavar-Rahmani when I needed legal advice after my first arrest. I was clueless and felt so alone. Attorney Mark Straface handled a legal malpractice case for me. Legal malpractice is not an easy case to take on because usually it means you are sueing an attorney who knows how to cover his butt. I hired Tess Cozine to represent me in my divorce case. In my case, we had no children but a 12 year marriage with significant assets and I am the breadwinner. So, I had a lot to lose from a financial perspective -- I was on the hook for spousal support, and was going to lose half of my investments and two LA properties to my spouse who had none and contributed little during our marriage. I was also on the hook to pay not only my own attorney costs, but to pay my spouse's costs. I was facing an enormous financial cost and was very concerned that my divorce outcome would cause financial ruin or worst case, bankrupt me and I would lose all the properties and savings that I worked so hard to achieve.
When I was evaluating different attorneys, I chose Tess because of her credentials and experience -- UCLA Law school grad with 13 solid years of Family Law experience. And I liked that her firm, Levin Margolin, was specialized in Family Law but wasn't too large or small. If I ever needed other more senior counsel, Tess could draw upon her partners to provide that. For the "day to day" work, I was able to get a very skillful and knowledgeable attorney but at a better value (Tess is an Associate Partner) than if I hired a Partner. And if I did need a Partner's counsel, Tess's firm was able to provide that.
Getting divorced is one of the most traumatic and scary experiences I've had to endure. You're at your lowest point emotionally and at a scary financial juncture that could ruin your financial future for many years to come. It's a crappy and ridiculously expensive system here in the US but there's no other way out of a marriage. So, finding a lawyer that is not only skillful, and experienced -- while not taking financial advantage of me, was my utmost concern. Tess Cozine has operated with fairness and integrity throughout the 3 year process. Furthermore, she has a rare ability to understand short-term tactical strategy while keeping her eye on the long term strategy and goal. She's incredibly smart, savvy and personable. I enjoyed working with her. A divorce case is very much about making "cost-benefit" decisions -- i.e., analyzing what costs to incur with the intent that those investments would pay off and save me money in the long term. I've learned that it was critically important to not only hire Tess but to hire a couple experts that she recommended (forensic accountant and vocational examiner) that proved to be extremely worthwhile investments. With my positive outcome, I look back at the recommendations Tess made along the way after careful consideration as to whether or not it was a wise investment -- and she was always right. She knew who to hire and who not to hire -and she knew when it made sense to spend money and when it didn't. She always carefully considered the cost of each tactical move and would discuss with me before proceeding. She knew I was extremely cost-conscious and was able to put herself in my shoes with every decision.
Due to my ex-husband's reluctance to settle or cooperate in the process - and because he was living in my house at my expense -- our case dragged out and was unusually long (over 3 years).
This 3 year process gave me a lot of insight into the keys to a successful client-attorney experience and I'm so thankful that I hired Tess and Levin Margolin. With Tess's skillful tactical and long term strategy, I was prevailed on all issues of my case. Tess has given me renewed confidence in the Family Law profession -- as she and her firm are not only super savvy, smart and strategic -- but she and her firm operate with integrity. I hired Tess almost 8 years ago to represent me as a single new father in a custody battle case. I knew going in that I didnt have much of a chance of anything going up against the legal system and the Mother of my child.
