Julia is very unprofessional. Julia’s lack of knowledge and understanding of the US immigration law unfortunately cost me my green card. The document of denial from immigration cited her mistake as being the reason for the loss of my case. When I asked her to refund my money ($8,000) due to her error she said “I can only open a new case which we can request a visa for political reasons”. This is therefore advice to open a fake case because I am not running from the politics on my country, I therefore denied this advice.
Julia is unreliable. When I had my first interview with US immigration, Julia was late by 1.5 hours!!! We had an appointment at 7 am and she didn’t turn up until 8.30 am. She also frequently missed important deadlines for requests for information by US immigration. In one instance, she was overdue to respond by 2 months, with US immigration sending a letter to say that they would cancel my case without an immediate response. Her staff will never answer your emails. You will have to send multiple emails and call multiple times a day for her to respond and talk to you.

My mother is 95 years old and the city of NY incorrectly assumed it’s ok to remove her 12 hour a day home attendant services to 8 hours. I was greatly upset and was referred to Sofiya’s law practice from a family friend. Sofiya was very detail oriented in checking on all specific day and times of correspondences with Integra and in her due diligence found mistakes they made and immediately returned the 12 hour home attendants for 7 days a week again. I greatly recommend her to anyone looking for help in this area.

I served as a guardian for a family member and retained Ms. Nozhnik when the time came to finalize the guardianship. Ms. Nozhnik diligently reviewed all pertinent documents, confirmed the underlying facts, and patiently explained the entire process to me, which included an overview of legal documents she would need to draft and file with the court. She then drafted the required motion with great accuracy and attention to detail and submitted it within the time frame that she committed to. I retained Mr. Wims services and was very satisfied with his work.
Initially, I went in concerned about one problem and he found additional wrong doings my previous employer had committed. I was explained in detail how I was being treated unfairly not getting paid all the wages I was really supposed to be getting. Long story short, within a couple of months I was given some papers to sign and had my employer pay me the unpaid wages that I was required to be compensated for. After so many cold nights working outside, I am glad I came to see Mr. Wims. If it weren't for him my employer would still be stealing from its employees and underpaying its staff.
He was very professional, courteous, funny, and very attentive to my case. I always had direct contact with him via email or phone. He always answered my phone calls and had updates about my case.
I would definitely recommend him to everyone.

He is well versed in many different aspects of the law, does a lot of research to make sure he covers all angles of the matter he is handling for you, and has years of experience working in the courthouse system. For over five years he has counseled me on a variety of issues, including helping me with the formation of my LLC; he expertly drafted and filed all the papers and walked me through the entire process with ease. Mr Shimko then helped my friend form his company. He also does some work helping out the board of my mother’s company. I have been a client of Pasternak and Tiller since 2018, and my experience has been profoundly disappointing. This is my second review, as my previous one was inexplicably deleted, which raises concerns about their integrity and transparency. For years, my communications were disregarded, and I was unaware that I could transfer my case to another firm—a fact not commonly taught in schools and one my family is unfamiliar with regarding workers' compensation.
Despite my requests for preparation before meetings, I was never prepped, which significantly impacted my case. The judge dropped my disability rate and penalized me for pursuing my education, even though I have been bearing the costs of my education on my own. The judge was waiting for my lawyer to provide rebuttals, but my attorney was unprepared, repeatedly stating that he had only recently received my case, despite having been with the firm for over five years.
The situation has deteriorated to the point where I have suffered financial losses due to their negligence. Despite a court ruling entitling me to certain funds, they have yet to disburse these funds two months later, whereas the legal requirement is a 21-day timeframe. Additionally, my requests for updates via email have gone unanswered. This level of service is unacceptable and constitutes a clear case of legal malpractice.
