I faced a serious criminal charge arising from an argument with a close family member. I was worried that it would ruin my record and my employment. I have a great job in another state. I spoke to Bret about my problem, and he explained how the local Chattanooga court system worked so I would know what would happen in court. My family and I live in New England and recently had a relative residing in Tennessee pass away with a small estate and no beneficiary, so we contacted the Tennessee Bar Association and they referred three Probate Lawyers. The second Attorney that we called and the one that we chose was Amanda Jelks. The consultation that we had was extremely informative and covered everything from our options, Tennessee Law, and legal fees. She, as well as her staff, were very professional and made the Small Estate Probate process seem effortless.
I don't normally review products or services, however, Amanda and her staff definitely deserve 5 stars and we would highly recommend this Attorney to anyone.

I am a sole business owner yet registered as an LLC due to contractual reasons. I first went to a different Attorney and was advised that he wasn't sure about filing a chapter 7 because he said that they could take my business. Im a service business with no assets involved. He thought it would be best to file a chapter 13 with the possibility of the monthly payment increasing if I started making more money. I decided to hold off and do some more research and seek other counsel. I was fortunate enough to call Amanda Stofan. Best decision I ever made. Not only was she super down to earth and easy to talk too, She knew her business and she knew it well! 60 days later 70k discharged.....She gave me some great advice as to how to move forward from this point and even recommended some outlets I could use. Worst experience. Lawyer showed up 40 minutes late to courtroom, joked/fist bumped with the cops and prosecutor and did exactly nothing for me. I got to watch defendants for speeding tickets before me get the same options as I did, while he made away with my money. Stay away

As soon as we consulted with Mr. Lester, my wife and I knew that he understood our situation and would be able to help us. We promptly hired Mr. Lester to take my case and he has been extremely patient with me and all my questions. He explains everything clearly and doesn't sugarcoat anything. Lester Law helped me through all the steps along the way. Started working with them back in 2016 to obtain my LPR. Very thankful they walked me through the overwhelming process. After obtaining my Greencard they then helped me with my extension and eventually my Naturalization.
The entire process was stressful at times and overwhelming, as a lot of unexpected things happened along the way, but they were always only a phonecall away and super responsive. I never felt like I was left on my own.
I highly recommend this firm as they do not treat you as a number, and actually care about you individual needs.

We all make mistakes. Upon hearing about Houston & Alexander PLLC, I consulted them regarding DUI charges among others. Mr. Underwood got court postponed for me on more than one occasion, until I was able to pay for their services in full. On my final court date they did their negotiations with the district attorney’s representatives, and got my charges reduced to reckless driving. I am fully satisfied as I can get on with my life and career with this all behind me. The biggest thing for me is that they are willing to work with you, they do a fantastic job working for you, and they are affordable. Looking for a divorce lawyer? Then look no further! Don't let his young age fool you! Ryan always had my best interest in mind, and I felt like he charged a fair fee. During my initial consultation, I felt as though he listened to me, and my martial dissolution agreement was drawn up very quickly. At my request, most of my case was able to be handled via e-mail, so I did not have to spend a lot of time on the phone or at his office. When I did go to the office, Ryan and his staff were always smiling and friendly. Because Ryan had all of my paperwork in order for my uncontested divorce, I spent a very minimal amount of time in front of the judge during my hearing. He prepped me for the questions that I would be asked, and I felt very comfortable knowing that he was going to walk me through this process. I hope that I never need a divorce attorney again, but if I did, I would definitely use Ryan again!

My Mom was rear-ended by a tractor trailer. The insurance company said they would take care of us and nothing happened. I hired Emma Flynn to review a contract that covered my purchase of the business assets of my former boss. Since I was technically starting a new business, the main thing I needed was protection from any claims against the former business by the IRS or other parties. The contract had to be ready to sign in a short amount of time and Mrs. Flynn delivered. She ironed out what was basically a rough draft, adding language and clauses that would protect me and removing anything that was superfluous. Her communication was timely and professional. I was able to meet with her to discus the details of my contract and follow up emails were answered immediately. I got arrested for sleeping in my work van at an Applesbees. I had drank a little too much at the bar and didn't want to drive across the street to my hotel. After leaving Amanda a voicemail about my case, she called me back fast and had already looked up my case number and knew all about my case. She saved me time by postponing my first court date (my b.a.c hadn't came back yet), so it would of been a waste of time. My son was arrested on a weekend on a mistaken identity, and Janie's first comment was "I've got this." She went to court on Monday morning, had the warrant and extradition recalled that morning, and worked non-stop to have him released in another state - all two days prior to July 4, with everyone else headed out of town. At the follow-up court hearing, all was dismissed. Janie was incredibly knowledgeable and prepared, which contributed greatly to the speed of handling the case. There are not enough stars for her.

Janie is a truly wonderful attorney. She is smart, strong and will not back down from a challenge. My case was bleak. It seemed inevitable I would be convicted and subsequently go to jail and no longer be able to work in my field. She wasn't going to let that happen. She fought hard for me and saved my career! I was arrested on November 12th 2015 in Oregon on an outstanding warrant for Probation Violation from Chattanooga, TN. I was extradited back to TN.
