I went to Walter Shurden’s office to get help with knowing what to do because my husband was in a nursing home and I and the family were no longer able to care for him. Walt as he likes to be called, was VERY efficient in putting me at easy and helping me down the path that I needed to go. His efficient office girls Neelam (paralegal) and Jennifer Ake took my calls to bring me up to date on the ongoing case. Since I am a worry wart, the office girls were assuring and informative. My husband and I worked with Walter Shurden to establish a plan for distribution of our assets and future health care. After a detailed review of our complicated family situation, asking pertinent questions about our priorities and goals and offering options he prepared a revocable trust, wills and medical directives for us.
Once the estate plan was established he offered any future services that might be necessary to update or change the plan or to meet with family members to give an overview of the plan.
Mr. Shurden is an insightful, detail oriented estate planning attorney who we felt had our best interest at heart.

I went to anne scared and nervous, I just didn't want to hire any lawyer. I've hired a lawyer before that was just about the money and did not care about my case. The first thing that I noticed about anne is that she listened. she put her phone away and closed her laptop and listen to my story. After I was done she explain the steps that she would take to solve my case, then asked if I would like to hire her to represent me. my case she was always honest with me even if it was good or bad. She kept me informed on all the little details, and most of all she did not make me feel pressured.she is more than just a lawyer she is a caretaker and I will go to her for all my legal advice.

A number of years ago, when the sheriff's department in Pinellas Co. was arresting people for things like having overdue library books, I fell afoul of "the law." (My son had a life threatening injury and, as I had no insurance -- I'm the pay as you go type -- Mease Dunedin attempted to "dump" him. I raised hell and got arrested for "disorderly conduct." Two days later I was arrested for "obstructing a criminal child abuse investigation" because I wouldn't leave my kids alone with some strange woman from the "state."
Mr. Howie advised me on this, competently, of course, but most importantly, it was a time of great stress and he demonstrated himself to be a good human being. Not too many lawyers like that.

I had an excellent experience working with the Covert firm for my mother’s estate probate. I initially found him online, I called him and a few others. I had the pleasure of talking with Chris, and decided to go with them. They were helpful, kept me informed about all procedures and needing any new information from me. It turned out to be a longer process because of Covid-19 , mostly hurry up and wait for the courts. I then had issues with a relative that further delayed things, so I had a probate case for 4.5 years. Neil’s son Chris is excellent in the office, I enjoyed dealing with him by phone or email. The Covert Team came highly recommended. From start to finish, they were professional and responsive. Being a continent and 3 time zones apart should have been challenging, but it wasn't an issue. I hired Mr. Lykes to handle a personal injury case that was a result of a car accident. I was fairly young when it happened so I was pretty over my head when it came to legal matters. The whole process took about two years and throughout the entire process, I was informed about what was going on. Whenever I had questions I called his office and if he wasn't available at the moment, his secretary would relay the message and he would quickly get back to me. If you are looking for an honest and trustworthy Attorney that has your back no matter what the charge, stop looking and hire Mr. Wise to represent you. I've never been in trouble in my past but due to a situation I had officers decided to come to my home and arrest me. This was a scary time of my life and I had no idea what to do. When I was booked in at the local county jail, I made my one phone call to my father asking him to find me representation while I'm in jail. My father did his research and immediately started looking for the best representation. He called quite a few 10 rated criminal attorneys and all were nice but wanted to discuss fees immediately. When my father got in touch with Mr. Wise, their was no discussion of the fees, instead Mr. Wise offered to go see me while in jail. While in Jail Mr. Wise came to see me and stated that he'd be happy to represent me for my case and even helped me find a local bondsman to get out. Once I arrived home I did my research and even interviewed other attorneys by phone just to make sure I was getting the best representation. Mr. Murtha helped me with my DUI case. I got a DUI in August 2015 and he just settled it in January 2017. Matthew, took an my highly complicated case. (I had previously hired, several other attorneys from T.V)., and they failed to get me any results.

I had a long running - 4 years - problem with a business partner involving intellectual property issues and I consulted Alan about this. He was knowledgeable but it was not his area of expertise so he roped in a colleague who specialized in the area. What impressed me is how Alan shepherded the process and kept it on track. He was always on top of actions that needed to be taken and worked actively to keep the billing hours as low as possible. Eventually the strategy he devised with his partner resolved my issue in ninety days.
Subsequently I have retained Alan as my attorney for all my business and personal affairs including wills and estate planning and have been very happy with the service I get.
An earlier reviewer reported that Alan did not return phone calls and his staff were discourteous. I cannot believe this because my experience has been the exact opposite. I have frequently received a response from Alan to my emails within seconds. His staff is most courteous and eager to help. On one occasion I pointed out an error to his assistant and she felt so bad that Alan called me to find out exactly what had happened. His staff take pride in work well done and he sets the tone himself.
I am not competent to evaluate a lawyer's expertise. But I have been around long enough to judge a professional and I am highly confident that Alan is a super attorney - confident in what he knows in the areas in which he specializes, and well connected enough to assemble a competent legal team for whatever problem you are confronting. On one occasion I had a friend who needed legal help in the not-for-profit arena. Alan gave me a recommendation that my friend was thoroughly happy with.
Finally, Alan is an attorney and will bill you for his time. But he has also helped many clients in different ways that go way past legal issues. I have met many of these clients personally and their testimonials are the reason I use him as my own attorney.

Alan Gassman was recomended when my wife and I were looking to update our wills. He worked very closely with us on setting up a trust. This was several years ago. We have continued working with him on updating the trust.
Alan and his staff got us through an inheritance situation when a relative died and the original will could not be found.
We also used his offices for some insurance problems regarding my wife,s mother. He got results when we were getting nowhere with the insurance company.
