I consulted with, and hired Eric Long to defend a tort claim (defamation) filed against my son. Eric was patient and professional throughout the course of this claim. He was also kind which helps when you are going through huge anxiety attacks because of what appeared to me to be a hostile and unfounded claim. Eric Long assisted myself and two other students in a student affairs case with my university. Myself and two other close friends who attend the same university were accused of breaking a COVID-19 safety agreement. Eric was always within reach over the phone during the case and was always very quick to find answers for any questions we had. Eric put my mind at ease in a time when I was very frustrated and panicked. The work that Eric put in and the truth that he was able to find was very successful in dropping all accusations and allegations that were mounted against myself and other students in the eyes of the university officials conducting the investigation.

John was my saving grace in filing and managing a workers comp. case for me. As a Federal Government employee, I became the target of an Office of Inspector General (O.I.G.) criminal investigation. I found Ian Friedman after doing research on several sites for a Federal Criminal Defense attorneys in Cleveland, Ohio. One thing that I was impressed with was his success rate at jury trial. I looked at other attorneys but was shocked when I read reviews about them "dumping" clients in the middle of their case. Ian had a lot of client reviews who stated that he supported them throughout the entire case. I could not find one derogatory remark about his skills and abilities. After doing a Google search I came across some of his interviews on popular television shows such as The O'Reilly Factor and Piers Morgan.
Next, I set up an initial consultation with Ian and his team. He made me feel very comfortable and confident that I had met with the right person. The thing that separated Ian from other attorneys that I spoke to was his honesty about his retainer fee. Most attorneys will give you a low figure to "hook" you into retaining them, then, they will bilk their client with fees. My co-defendant was given a low retainer fee but our out of pocket costs ended up exactly the same. After the initial sticker shock, I spoke to my family and we decided that Ian and his team were my best option. He was absolutely worth every cent!!!
Ian and Mark Devan started the pre-indictment work and engaged the AUSA. After meeting with the AUSA they devised the best strategy to address the case. They found a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and had an independent opinion written based on the known facts of the case which was supported by case law and policy. The AUSA called three (3) grand juries for testimony and had over a dozen witnesses testify. The final verdict was a "No Bill." There were times, when I thought that I could no longer handle the stress of the situation. Ian always told me, “Don’t worry about it. I’ll handle it.” Or “let me worry about that.” I truly believe that the outcome would have been very different if I would not have been blessed with Ian, Mark Devan, and Brad Wolfe on my side.

My case was with a major credit collection agency. At first I thought that I could take the case myself to court, but I can say that it was not the best decision at all. After leaving the first court hearing, I did a google search and found this website. My decision to hire Michael Fine was do to the great reviews. The results were extraordinary, he was able to get a great deal and the case dismissed. I did not expect such an amazing deal to this case, but it was all done in a matter of a few weeks, with no reason to show up in court even once or at his office for that matter. Mr. Fine really believes in the concept of justice for the maligned. A debt collection agency knew they were breaking the law when they served me but still tried to collect on a deceptively high amount. They would not back down but neither did Mr. Fine. He filed suit in federal court and got me the maximum allowed.

Where other attorneys wouldn't even listen Michael not only listened but had the debt collector settle with me in my case (yes pay me) and drop their suit and erase the debt from my credit report due to all of their mistakes and lack of legitimate back up. Christian Patno was my attorney in a wrongful death suit settled in Nov 2018. My dear brother, age 50, was fatally injured in a June 2012 workplace accident in Willoughby Ohio. I don't typically do the whole review thing but in this case I feel it's necessary. Mark was referred to me by a friend of mine in January 2014. During this time, I was at a very rough point in my life and needed some help cleaning a few matters up. I went to my initial consolation and knew within the first 5 minutes that I needed to hire him. At the time I was 26, and unfortunately this was not the first time I had been in legal trouble. Prior to hiring Mark, I had used 3 other defense attorneys in the Cleveland area. In my experience, the attorneys would sell me a dream, take thousands of dollars from me, and not deliver on their promises. This was not the case at all with Mark. He was very straight forward and honest from the very beginning. He was very compassionate and genuinely cared about all that I was going through.
