Unfortunately, several times throughout my life I've needed a good attorney. The most recent instances were for traffic infractions in SC. David has far exceeded all my expectations. He's extremely professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He's quick to return phone calls and stays in contact regarding your case/situation. He got the first case resolved for a very low court cost and his reasonable fees which was a huge weight off my mind. In fact, I was so satisfied with his resolution to my first case that he was my first phone call when I got a speeding ticket on New Year's Eve. I hired Mr. Farrell to handle a ticket my daughter (Out of State student at USC) received after she had paid the ticket. She had not realized that paying the ticket is an admission of guilt (neither had I), and would result in her license being suspended in her home state (Georgia). Mr. Farrell had to file to reopen the case (successful) and get the ticketing officer to lower the speed (by more than 8mph) in order for her not to be considered a "super speeder" in her home state and have her license not suspended (a law applicable to only under 21 years of age). Mr. Farrell was very thorough and responsive and professional. He had a very good raport with the presiding judge (over in Aiken County).

It is my opinion that this law firm has very aggressive billing practices and rates. When dealing with Chris Archer I mustered together $7,500 that I did not have at the time due to the circumstances of my case and literally being left with nothing but a car and clothes on my back. I did this to try to see my toddler child whom was taken from me and transported across country.
The majority of that $7,500 retainer was used up in what seemed to be a matter of days with absolutely nothing accomplished. I have since used other attorneys and it has taken them months to reach that same $7,500 quota while they did more work and attended multiple hearings.
In hindsight, it’s my opinion, that Chris Archer should have never even taken my case with the legal knowledge that he should possess. Due to the circumstances of my case he was unable to accomplish anything on my behalf and he (in hindsight and in my opinion) should have known as much before accepting the retainer.
When choosing an attorney do not forget that they are not your friends. They are operating a business. The goal is for them to make money and take care of their family (not yours). Someone has to pay for that office in Downtown Columbia. Do your own research and make the best decision for you. You won’t get a second chance.

Attorney Lourie is by far THE most Honest, Loyal, Tenacious, Caring and Honorable person one could wish to have handle legal issues. I'm originally from South Carolina, but I currently live in Georgia. I was in town for my 10 year class reunion and got pulled over for a .08 alcohol level. I called 5 different lawyers and they all quoted me $4000 to $5000 to take on my case. I received a letter from the Laubshire in mail, gave them a call and they jumped right on it. Alyssa is very responsive and kept me informed through the entire process. I also did not have to show up to court because i live out of state which was very convenient being that i have a busy schedule. After 6 long months of waiting, my case was dismissed for lace of evidence. I recommend you call this firm first!

I hired Charley Krawczyk at Finkel Law Firm to try and save a case that my previous attorney had blundered. Jessica took my family case without hesitation because she knew that I was being wronged by my ex-wife and her attorney despite me having a run in with the law during the course of the divorce. She was aggressive throughout the entire case and is extremely knowledgeable In family law and criminal law. My case is now over and I’m so happy with the results. I’m the custodial parent of my two daughters and I couldn’t have done it without Jessica. It’s extremely rare that the father becomes the custodial parent in South Carolina. Gerald and his team were so organized and his expert witnesses were so good that he won the biggest verdict ever in Hall County, GA., according to Jakob Medley's grandmother. Jakob needed a breathing tube when he was born, but it took eight minutes for the hospital to supply one, and he was born terribly brain injured. The $8.5 million the jury awarded showed they agreed the hospital was at fault. Jakob's grandmother now will have the financial means to give him the best life possible. She has nothing but praise for Gerald and would recommend him to anyone.

My son was sentenced 50 years in SCDC at 19 years old and devastated the whole family, because he never should have been sentenced that harshly. Mrs. Best came to prison and spoke to him and gave him hope and life to fight for an appeal! All he remembers as we continue to fight is Mrs. Elizabeth Franklin-Best!
