Due to increased travel restrictions for COVID-19, my wife and I had to cancel our wedding at a resort in Mexico. We believed, per the contract, that we qualified for a refund; the resort did not agree and was giving us the run around.
Insert Alex, who analyzed the contract and clearly articulated our case in Spanish directly to the executive leadership team at the resort. Within a few days we had confirmation that we would be receiving a refund!

I am an archaeologist with an international profile (see my profile in the London Times website entitled "The Real-life Indiana Jones and the Mansion of Doom"). I have been keenly interested in Homer and his great epic poems, The Iliad and The Odyssey, and I created a multifaceted project to celebrate and research Homer, called The Homeric Project (homericproject.com). A part of that effort was to conduct archaeological fieldwork on a Greek island, searching for the lost Palace of Odysseus from the Odyssey. As part of my overall research on Homer, I believe I have discovered a lost code involving sacred symbolic numbers that Homer, I believe, intentionally incorporated into both his epic poems. I wrote up my research, with my new discoveries, in a research paper entitled, "The Mystery of Homer's Numbers," which I copyrighted with the US Copyright Office in 2013.
The reason I retained Mr. Lauson was due to the following. I was conducting my field work in Greece with a colleague, with whom I also spent time writing on a projected book about the project. I had a falling-out with that colleague and terminated the joint project (including the book). In a subsequent letter from the colleague, a claim was made that she had filed a joint co-authorship of my "Homer's Numbers" paper with the US Copyright Office and it was implied that it had not only been applied for, but had actually been accepted and was in force. Therefore, my former colleague made those claims, which were not true. Since I could not stand to have such claims made on my original research, my discoveries and my paper -- and especially after my ex-colleague had an attorney send me a letter re-affirming the false claims -- I was forced to seek a professional attorney to defend me, my work and my reputation. I'm glad I found Mr. Robert Lauson because he did an outstanding job in straightening the mess out. He reviewed the facts I gave him, including a copy of my 2013 copyright which pre-dates the alleged copyright of 2014 by a year. His due diligence also disclosed that my ex-colleague did not submit my paper for copyright as stated. In fact, the copyright was not submitted until May 6 of this year (2015). Mr. Lauson completely agreed with my position on the whole matter and, unlike my ex-colleague's attorney who wrote an inaccurate and disparaging letter to me, Mr. Lauson wrote him back a very professional letter factually pointing out all the "misrepresentations" that my ex-colleague's attorney had stated based on the wrong information he had received from his client. Mr. Lauson also quoted in the same letter the legal precedents which supported my rightful legal interpretation of the case. Furthermore, and subsequent to that letter, Mr. Lauson was proactive with the US Copyright Office and got them to reject my ex-colleague's attempt to make a claim on my exclusive intellectual property. Hopefully that good action will have the effect of being a final termination to the attempt to make any claims on my original research and written research paper.
In short, Attorney Robert Lauson was cordial, very professional and knowledgeable about how to handle my case. Moreover, he did an outstanding job of dealing with my adversary's attorney and with straightening out the situation with the US Copyright Office, that resulted in a decision by it in my favor. I can't thank him enough for his good work, which has not only set the record straight but has gone a long way to restoring my peace of mind about my original work and my career.

I was intimidated to speak with a lawyer about an area of the law that was totally foreign to me but I needed a professional opinion of my idea and the likelihood of obtaining a patent. It was as important to me to get an assessment, as it was to learn as much as could about the process. I did not want to drop my idea on a desk and wait for results.
A friend of mine referred me to Bob. I knew at the end of our first appointment that he fit my requirements. He explained that his job is to
interpret the Patent Law and apply it to my idea, so that if necessary, modifications can me made to be successful with the Patent Office. He made suggestions that gave me food for thought, including that I should consider a trademark for the name.
I was very comfortable speaking with him and liked that he took the time to
teach me. I left his office feeling good and knowing what I needed to do to
keep rolling, what to expect, and that I made contact with a friendly lawyer
that will guide me without me being intimidated.
Since that appointment, he has communicated with me often to make sure
we are progressing.
I would recommend him to anyone seeking a patent.

A great experience setting up my Living Trust with Dmitriy recently. He is a talented as a communicator , and very prompt to respond, and I felt he guided me along a way of my best interests, while listening to my goals and needs. This whole process can be scary, daunting and imtimidating ,but he walked me through thr process, step by step, with succint explanations. I don't usually do reviews but I had to come on here because I am so happy with the service I got! My husband and I had to file a chapter 13 recently and we were referred by a friend. Attorney Woodson was very competent and gracious and she really made this process so easy. She was very understanding of our situation and put us at ease in what would normally be an overwhelming or stressful situation. I felt like I had a friend who just happened to be a good lawyer and we never felt alone in this situation. If we had a question she didn't make us feel silly for asking and she always would answer us right away. She is also FAST and INEXPENSIVE with no extra fees! After being named in a California defective product lawsuit, my counsel contacted one of the bigger law firms we have very good experience with and we were given a $85,000 estimate to move to dismiss the lawsuit. My colleague also suggested calling his former partner from Preston Gates,John Petrullo in LA, for additional referrals as we anticipated this would be an expensive lawsuit. When I contacted John for suggestions on who he'd recommend, he asked me to send him the Complaint. After reviewing the Complaint, John asked me to give him a couple of days to review the action. I remember expressing a great deal on anxiety as we were to respond to the Complaint and specifically remember John assuring us that he'd take care of it. My colleague told us to trust Mr. Petrullo.
Three days later I received an email from John along with a dismissal of the case. My entire dept. was shocked by this result and at a loss when he didn't send a bill for his services. One of the biggest firms wanted 85,000 to file a motion to dismiss. John went to plaintiffs attorneys for a conversation and left with a dismissal. He's refused to bill us.

just check Mr. Petrullo out on his website. I was a juror in a recent trial and my co jurors, except 1, talked more about how prepared he was everyday and how he cross examined experts. He tore them apart!
But he wasn't disrespectful. The judge yelled at him a lot it seems to me, and he kept moving anyway. nothing bothered him, only thing he would not spend much time with us after trial, said he likes to take a walk by himself after trials. hope this helps hi. good lawyer.

I simply do not have words adequate, kind, and appreciative enough to capture how grateful I am for Jamie Keeton and her entire legal team at Schlichter and Shonack, including the wonderful Kevin Wheeler, Jamie Fountain, and Kellie Baker.
I found Ms. Keeton through my employer legal insurance plan and her entire legal team helped me when I was so desperate for help in a legal situation when the opposing party was trying to abuse the legal system to harass, intimidate, and financially harm my family.
I spoke to Ms. Keeton in my moments of utter desperation after numerous phone calls with other attorneys and from the moment I spoke with her, I knew that she was brilliant, articulate, fearless, yet kind and personable. She gave me her phone number and told me I could reach out to her any time which was particularly comforting. I waited what seemed to be a very long weekend, hoping and praying that she would take my case, and when she did, I knew there was no greater advocate I could have in my corner.
Kevin Wheeler was my point of contact and he advocated tirelessly for me. His words were always so patient, kind, and comforting. Being a type-A professional myself, I far too often did way too much legal research instead of leaving that up to my attorneys and then would email Kevin probably the silliest of questions in my moments of weakness and unease but he would just politely, patiently, and kindly answer my questions and always put me at ease. By the end of the ordeal, I trusted them so much that I stopped reading the opposing party's papers, stopped doing legal research, and just focused on my every day life, knowing well that my attorneys would blow them out of the water with whatever response they were preparing. This was probably the best part of having them represent me because being able to disinvolve myself from something that is particularly emotional is totally against my personality and it can be particularly destructive, especially since the whole point of hiring an attorney is so you can relax. For me, I can really only disinvolve myself if I know I am in good hands, and it only took the reading of one of their legal papers for me to know they've got it totally under control. As a professional myself, it takes a certain amount of skill to be able to handle situations in which people from outside your profession come to your office and present you with data that you know better than they do. Whenever I would be guilty of doing that, Kevin would handle it with such patience and grace, and put me at ease, letting me know they've got it handled.
Jamie Fountain was also a gem. She worked tirelessly on the legal research of my case and spent so many hours on the preparation of the legal documents. Every time I would read the legal documents, I would be shocked as to how she and every one else could prepare such persuasive, brilliant arguments with so much legal precedents behind those arguments, with such tremendous efficiency as reflected in their billed hours. For Kevin Wheeler , Jamie Fountain and Kellie Baker, who are still relatively young in their career, to have such talent, I can only imagine the bright future ahead of them.
It was no surprise that the entire unpleasant ordeal ended with a legal victory because of everyone's efforts.
I could not be more thankful for the sequence of events that led me to Jamie Keeton of the Firm Schlichter and Shonack.
While certainly there are no guarantees in any legal situation, I can guarantee that based on my experience, Jamie Keeton and her legal team, will tirelessly advocate for you in a way that is fearless, diligent, persuasive, efficient, kind, and honest. I highly recommend them.

I had very bad and crazy divorce experience and it took almost 4 years, because my ex was totally brain washed by new boyfriend and this boyfriend is connected to crafty and greedy attorney in manhattan beach RR. this attorney RR is even famous in court room as bad and insistent lawyer. so i was recommended one of top lawyer FS in Bevery Hills at beginning but my attorney FS was so expensive and he didn't care about my case because compare to his other clients I am poor and my marriage was only 2 years.. not big deal case.
but since we were fighting with RR he drug everything unbelievably slow and judge was keep rolling eyes.., after year and half we had nothing done but attorneys fee was already $150,000. then i couldn't keep this Bevery Hills attorney FS who doesn't care about my case and enjoying spending unnecessary time with my ex's attorney RR.
after i let FS go i hire other attorney CC, she was nice about she offered me payment option but she said she came from criminal fields and i guess she didn't have much experience in family law and she was not strong enough to stop RR. so ends up it took another 2years with this attorney CC and i got few bad judgements and even payment option i spent crazy amount of money..
but finally i met William Glavin thru my friend in manhattan beach and william stopped crazy and greedy RR's attack and very honest charge. i went thru divorce and used 3-4 attorneys and interviewed many attorneys. but i have to say 90% of family attorneys are money hungry and don't care about me. but finally I found this this guy William and his associate Adam!
they are strong but honest get into the point and save your money and i can trust 100%!!

Amir was the main attorney on my case at Protection Law Group. I have never had an advocate/attorney representing me before, and I didn't know what to expect. The attorneys at Protection Law Group came highly recommended from my brother who is a lawyer. I annoyed the heck out of Amir as I asked numerous questions and wanted to be assured of things along the way. The dude was always so direct, confidence, invested, and as it turned out in the end, absolutely right about every answer/move/strategy whatever. I didn't like it at the time, but he challenged me to be patient during certain times of the process and again, he was obviously proven correct.

I am not a litigious person and always try to talk matters through first, but sometimes in life lawsuits are necessary. I.e., You try to be a reasonable person, but sometimes you have to send a strong message to the scumbags out there.
I won't go into the gory details but my company filed a lawsuit against another company due to money owed.
In the end, the case settled because the other party didn't want the burden and cost of going to trial. If it did go to trial, I felt confident that I would've prevailed with Jonathan on my side. I basically decided to forgive the scumbags, accept their offer, and move on with my life.
