October 2024 - I was fortunate enough to be referred to Julie by another attorney a year ago. She was the 3rd attorney I had met with and she was able to see me on very short notice within 48 hours. Immediately, she put me at ease. After our initial visit, I already felt a huge weight had lifted. I was very glad that I had not already retained an attorney at that point. Right away, I felt Julie was "the right one". She was sincere, compassionate, caring, and I could tell she was smart. She immediately took control and told me what I needed to do in order to assist with the case. I hired her right then and left the meeting feeling as if I was in capable hands - and rightly so. On very short notice, Julie and her team were able to frame and present my case which secured a positive outcome at the temporary orders hearing-- for me to be awarded primary custodian of my children and to be able to temporarily remain in the family home. Last year, I was involved in a T-bone car accident. Initially, I turned to my regular lawyer for assistance, but due to their heavy caseload, they referred me to Russell & Hill, assuring me that I would be well taken care of—and they were absolutely right.
From the very beginning, the team at Russell & Hill demonstrated exceptional care and professionalism. I met with Jaclyn at their office, where I provided her with the necessary images and video footage of the accident. She clearly explained the entire process to me, ensuring I understood what to expect every step of the way.
What stood out to me most was how much they prioritized my well-being. The accident left me with severe body pain and a wrist injury, which made day-to-day tasks difficult. Since my car was totaled, they referred me to treatment facilities conveniently located near my area, so I didn’t have to travel far.

I wrote to Lorna at the end of my 2.5-year custody battle - "Words are inadequate to express my gratefulness", and it's true. Lorna has been on my side for that long, not only as my counsel, but to me, also a friend, and a mentor.
I remember talking to a dozen attorneys who all turned down my case because of its complexity - a divorce that invovled domestic violence, dependency, immigration, and relocation - yet Lorna was the only attorney that took genuine interest in my case, and she did not even charge me for our first 2-hour consultation. She actually read through over 3000 pages of my dependency case. She always responds promptly, sometimes even after office hours, she is thorough and detailed, insightful and empathic. She remained a delightful spirit despite my ex's constant threats, harassment, and accusation directed at her.
Even though I could not continue to afford her representation toward the end of my case, and chose to represent myself in a 3-day trial, she guided me through every step to make sure I was prepared and capable. And I won, even with some extra icing on the cake I did not expect. The judge said he has not seen anyone go pro-se without an attorney and could carry out the whole trial like I did in his 14 years of experience, but I credited Lorna for her guidance. I couldn't have done it without her. She encouraged me and believed in me even when I doubted myself - unlike those lawyers on Avvo who always tell you that you are screwed if you're going to trial alone. Talking to her always made me feel better. She went above and beyond for me from beginning to end like no others, and for that I'm forever grateful for everything she has done for me.

I hired Mr Weinzierl for help with long term payment issues and child support for my son about to go to college. I am nearly 10 years post divorce with an abuser who will not stop for nothing. Rob is really calming when the ex triggers the PTSD. He knows things are upsetting but he guides with what feels like a bit of love and logic. If you have ever dealt with a truly pathological person you know how crazy they can make a legal case. There is almost nobody who understands the abuse dynamics in family law. Neil is amazing!
Prior to hiring Neil, I had worked with 2 other attorneys for a total of 6 months & my experience was that the (other guys) had actually caused my legal experience to be prolonged by not being prepared, not being able to be reached quickly enough & not providing legal advice that would squash problems immediately (which led to them making a ton of $ off of my ignorance & I had to use all the equity in my home to pay them). When I called Neil, I asked him to be my “bodyguard,” & wow, he followed through! There were times I asked him to provide responses to CPS that were so aggressive, that I thought for sure he would say no; not the case-he delivered statements that sent CPS back to hell. Being nice is not the way to go in these types of cases. Hardball, minimal/vague statements & protecting your rights is the only way to escape unscathed. On one particular day, government workers showed up at my door while I was not home; I emailed Neil & asked him to meet me there & he dropped everything to make it to my house within 15 minutes for me to cooperate with the workers, without my rights being violated through a private interview that could be used against me without an attorney present to be expert witness to my statements & to jump in quickly on concerning subject matter. He was always prepared & available at all times of the day/weekends due to the emergency nature of the attack I was under. His quick, calculated responses to these sick/twisted government workers/criminals is what saved me & my family’s lives. We are forever grateful to Neil.

Unfortunately, I've had to use Renee Lee far too many times. First, for my divorce from 2012-2014 and many instances since. She is reliable, determined, and committed. She has done a fabulous job every time that I've had to use her. She almost got me 50/50 custody of my son. I have him 12 days out of 30, and all holidays and school breaks are 50/50. Walking into Rodi’s office for the first time, I was nervous. I was staring down what was certain to be a long, nasty, complex divorce and I needed to make sure I had the best representation possible. But, I also had to know I could trust and relate to whoever might provide that.
Rodi commanded the room with her presence, nevertheless, she immediately put me at ease. Within no time at all I could tell she understood where I was coming from, what my children and I were going through, and how my ex figured into these things. Through the countless, pointless and malicious deviations, distractions, and motions my ex threw up to complicate things; the endless diatribe of slander and lies, the messy and ugly, Rodi was my rock. I contacted Jack to ask for help with my Support Modification. After talking through the details and asks of the petition, Jack laid out the process in front of me to make sure I was prepared for all outcomes. The entire team quickly jumped on some immediate needs and scheduling to make sure I had the right support to put my best case in front of the judge. We had several hurdles to deal with as well as an impending trial date, but I felt like the entire team rallied around me to get me prepared. Josh and I worked together over several sessions to create a fair strategy and proactively address the key issues. In what was supposed to be my trial date, Josh quickly jumped on an issue that perhaps the judge had not reviewed key submissions and requested a continuance to make sure everything was considered. That instinct proved to be correct as the judge had not reviewed everything and while that pushed a decision out, it was the right move.
